The Walking Dead goes insane in season premier

I soiled myself. Did you?
The best damn show on TV goes brutally insane
pulling in a huge 17 Million viewers.

By Gary;

A savage punch to the gut.

There is no other way to describe the opening episode of Season 7 of The Walking Dead.

I felt that after six seasons the show was dragging a bit. It needed a kick in the pants. A new direction. New blood so to speak. The writers appear to have agreed and went off to the edge of viewer's sanity.

Well, we got that jump start for the show.

I used to think that The Governor was an intense, bloodthirsty character, but no more. We have been given the warlord Negan, perhaps the most insanely violent character to appear on commercial TV.

The Walking Dead is unique in the history of TV. They make us care deeply about the characters and then deliberately kills off loved characters just to fuck with our minds.

This last Sunday the show brutally killed off the newer character of Abraham. I suspected Abraham or another new person would die. Newer characters are low hanging fruit for story line deaths. But Negan then savagely took out the original season one character of Glenn ripping us fans to the core.

As a fan you spend six seasons becoming involved with a favorite character. To see that person literally slaughtered in front of you releases waves emotions.

The Talking Dead coming after the episode had a camera running as a live audience watched the murder of their favorite characters. The shock and raw emotion was there.

A week ago I felt the show might be running down to eventual cancellation. Today I am supercharged. Where will season 7 take us? I can't wait for Sunday.
