Putin using GOLD to defeat sanctions on Russia

Another Biden Fuck Up
All the West did in attacking the Russian economy was to bring back the gold standard.

(Natural News)  Since the Western world implemented widespread sanctions against Russia over its special military operation in Ukraine in early 2022, President Vladimir Putin's strategy for evading economic disaster has relied on linking the ruble's value to gold, sparking both intrigue and concern globally.

Despite facing an onslaught of over 16,000 sanctions, targeting everything from Russian trade, finance and even technology, Putin's Russia has exhibited resilience, with the economy showing signs of growth and the military apparatus expanding. This economic and military resilience has confounded many observers, especially given the severity of the sanctions imposed.

One notable consequence of the sanctions is the isolation of sanctioned individuals and entities from the global financial system, including multiple Russian billionaires and oligarchs.

Gold's role in mitigating the impact of sanctions on Russia is multifaceted. By tying the ruble's value to gold, Russia aims to establish a stable alternative currency and protect against currency devaluation.

Russia's status as the world's second-largest producer of gold has been pivotal in this strategy. With significant annual production and predictions of continued growth, Russia is well-positioned to leverage its gold reserves to navigate geopolitical challenges. . . . .

Putin's ambitions extend far beyond the economic realm, as he envisions gold replacing the U.S. dollar as the primary global trade medium. However, the success of this vision hinges on increasing gold's value, a variable influenced by factors such as consumer demand and central bank policies.

In response to Putin's strategy, consumers and investors worldwide, particularly in North America, wield the potential to impact gold's market dynamics through their purchasing decisions. For instance, significant investments in gold by American consumers, facilitated by platforms like Costco, inadvertently contribute to Putin's agenda, particularly if the gold originates from Russian sources.

Medically-Assisted Suicide For Autism

Autism is now a reason to ask the government to kill you in Canada.

A judge ruled Monday that preventing a Calgary woman with autism from obtaining medically-assisted suicide (MAID) would cause her irreparable harm.

Justice Colin Feasby ordered an injunction stopping the woman from ending her life be lifted.

The woman’s father previously asked a judge to block her doctor-assisted suicide.

“Feasby said his decision will be stayed for 30 days so lawyers for the father of the woman, identified only as MV, can decide whether to file an appeal,” the Calgary Herald reports.

Warrior Woman Wednesday - Red Sonja - The Demon with Red Hair

Red Sonja Comes To Theaters

I Love a Woman in Breastplates
Red Sonja is now 90 years old

In theory the Red Sonja movie is coming out this year . . . . in theory.

But this film has taken forever to produce, and I have bad feelings about it. Still, as the greatest fan ever of Robert E. Howard I will have to see it.

Hollywood is fucking clueless about how to do Howard's stories.

The first Conan movie was a classic, but it was all downhill from there . . . . except for 2009's Soloman Kane which was well done and true to Howard. Kane was written and directed by M. J. Bassett, the film stars James Purefoy in the title role.

There is hope. Red Sonja is also being directed by M.J. Bassett.

So crossing fingers.

Red Sonja was the creation of the very late but still very great Robert E. Howard (1906 – 1936).

Sonja only appeared once in Howard's 1934 excellent historical tale The Shadow of the Vulture.

The story line involved the Muslim siege of Vienna in 1529. Sonja stood side-by-side with male knights on the walls of Vienna fighting against the Turks and for Western Civilization.

Red Sonja was brought back to life by writer Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor-Smith for Marvel Comics in 1973, inspired by Robert E. Howard's character Red Sonya of Rogatino.

In 2008, director Robert Rodriguez attempted to make the Red Sonja film with Rose McGowan in the lead, and when that version didn't pan out, director Simon West worked on the project in 2010 with Amber Heard said to be playing the character. However, the film never got off the ground, languishing in production hell for years, with Bryan Singer even attached at one time.
