Reform Party candidate gets 24% in poll for House seat

Free Elections - What a Concept

  • The GOP and Dems have been shipping middle class jobs overseas for years. At last voters have a choice, but will the brainwashed Sheeple keep voting for the two parties screwing them over?
  • poll released at the end of September for U.S. House, New York 22nd district, has these results: Republican Claudia Tenney 35%; Democrat Kim Myers 30%; independent candidate Martin Babinec 24%; undecided 11%.

(Press Connects) NEW YORK  -  Third-party candidate Martin Babinec has put $2.2 million of his own wealth into the 22nd Congressional District race, which already has seen $4.6 million in spending by outside groups.

That’s among the highlights of campaign finance reports filed over the weekend in the tossup three-way race to succeed retiring Republican Rep. Richard Hanna of Barneveld. The district is anchored by Binghamton, Cortland, Utica and Rome.

The reports show Republican state Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney of New Hartford lagging behind her two opponents in fundraising.

Tenney raised $606,902 through Sept. 30 compared to $1.4 million raised by Democrat Kim Myer of Vestal and the $2.2 million fromBabinec, who lives in Little Falls.

Babinec’s campaign is almost entirely self-financed. He’s received only $16,998 in donations.

Myers had $420,623 in cash going into the final weeks of the campaign and Babinec had $529,622. Babinec has said he will spent whatever it take to win, meaning he could open his wallet again.
