Is General Flynn the right choice for Trump?

Trump - Flynn
A National Unity Ticket?
In order to win the tough election of 1864 Lincoln dumped his Republican
Vice President in favor of War Democrat Governor Andrew Johnson.

By Gary;

The "Conservative" and Moderate GOP Elites have screamed, and still are screaming, at the upstart Donald Trump for daring to run for office without their permission.

But the fact of the matter is, the GOP Elites have lost the popular vote in five out of six of the last elections for President.

The Republican track record really sucks. The party only won the popular vote in 2004 by running Bush as a War President . . . . ignore that the GOP created the Iraq War just in time for the 2004 election. It would be wrong to say the war was created just for the 2004 vote so I will not say that.

So now The Donald is looking hard at retired General Michael Flynn as Vice President. Sure Flynn is a Democrat but he was also forced out of his job and the military by Comrade Obama.

I know very little about Flynn and will keep an open mind.

Still I suspect Trump selecting a non-partisan general for the ticket would be viewed favorably by the independent voters that the GOP has lost in five of six Presidential elections.

Naturally the party hacks who have lost those five elections will scream that one from their ranks was not anointed for the post. Well screw them.

The public really does not give a crap if some hack they have never heard of from a "vital swing state" is selected. But the public might be drawn to a non-partisan patriot general who served the nation in many wars.

A Patriot, Not A Political Whore
"I grew up as a Democrat in a very strong Democratic family. But I will tell you that the Democratic Party that exists in this country is not the Democratic Party that I grew up around in my -- in my upbringing, not at all."
General Michael Flynn

In 1952 the GOP turned to a non-partisan general and won the election in a landslide.
