#2)  (Reuters) -Liquefied natural gas developers led gains for U.S. energy companies in early trading on Monday, after the European Union pledged $750 billion worth in strategic purchases as part of a sweeping trade pact.

The framework trade deal, which ended months of uncertainty for industries and consumers on both sides of the Atlantic, calls for strategic purchases, covering oil, gas, and nuclear fuel, during U.S. President Donald Trump's term in office.

From now on, all new cars sold in Europe must be outfitted with Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) systems that automatically limit vehicle speeds to match legal limits. A massive network of GPS and cameras will ensure compliance.

"The system alerts drivers to slow down and can reduce engine power if limits are exceeded," reported Great Game India about the change, noting that it was hatched by European Union (EU) leaders, many of whom are unelected.

(Zerohedge)  If there is anyone still confused why ESG, and the entire "green" movement is one giant, boiling cauldron of lies, hypocrisy and fraud, read on.

Last summer, we reported that the European Commission - that murder of career bureaucrats - has proposed exempting private jets, the one most polluting form of transportation, from the planned EU jet fuel tax. A draft indicated that the tax would be phased-in for passenger flights, including ones that carry cargo. 

Private jets will enjoy an exemption through classification of "business aviation" as the use of aircraft by firms for carriage of passengers or goods as an "aid to the conduct of their business", if generally considered not for public hire. 

It gets better: a further exemption is given for "pleasure" flights whereby an aircraft is used for "personal or recreational" purposes not associated with a business or professional use.

Of course, since it is mostly billionaires and the ultra wealthy that fly private, and these same billionaires and ultra wealthy tend to be exempt from regulations (which are usually written by politicians that the ultra rich have previously bribed or bought) that apply to the rest of the peasantry, this was hardly a huge surprise.

Which is why we doubt that the latest news showing just how pervasive the "green" hypocrisy is, will also come as a surprise.

According to a new report from Transport & Environment (T&E) titled "Climate Impacts of Exemptions to EU’s Shipping Proposals:
Arbitrary exemptions undermine integrity of shipping laws" , more than half of Europe’s ships would be exempt from the European Commission’s carbon pricing plan for the sector. Among them: highly polluting if extremely desirable - for the Monte Carlo set - yachts.

According to the report, in July 2021, the European Commission published a set of proposals to decarbonize the maritime sector. However, what quietly not mentioned, is that the proposed carbon pricing scheme (ETS) and the low GHG fuel standard (FuelEU Maritime) will only apply to ships above 5,000 GT and exclude a number of ship types such as offshore vessels, fishing vessels and.... yachts.

(Bloomberg)  European Union regulators warned that frequent Covid-19 booster shots could adversely affect the immune system and may not be feasible.  

Repeat booster doses every four months could eventually weaken the immune system and tire out people, according to the European Medicines Agency.

The advice comes as some countries consider the possibility of offering people second booster shots in a bid to provide further protection against surging omicron infections. Earlier this month Israel became the first nation to start administering a second booster, or fourth shot, to those over 60. 

Boosters “can be done once, or maybe twice, but it’s not something that we can think should be repeated constantly,” Marco Cavaleri, the EMA head of biological health threats and vaccines strategy, said at a press briefing on Tuesday. “We need to think about how we can transition from the current pandemic setting to a more endemic setting.”

(Infowars)  -  A new law in Germany would impose a three year jail sentence for the ‘crime’ of burning an EU flag or insulting the ‘anthem’ of the European Union.

Lawmakers in Saxony are attempting to pass a bill which seeks “to take firm and effective action against those whose aim is to disparage the fundamental values of the European Union” by attacking “the reputation of the symbols of the European Union,” German regional newspaper Saabrücker Zeitung reported.

The legislation would mandate punishment if the EU flag was “removed, destroyed, damaged, (made) unusable or unrecognizable.”

According to proponents of the bill, the EU flag represents “a commandment of self-esteem” which as a founding member of the institution, Germany must “protect against malicious contempt”.

Ludicrously, the law would also ban disparaging Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, which has been co-opted as the European Union’s de-facto ‘national anthem’.

Globalists appear to be attempting to mandate a kind of faux-patriotism by forcing people to cherish the symbols of a bureaucratic institution which means absolutely nothing to them.

French President Emmanuel Macron Emmanuel Macron previously pushed through legislation that made displaying the EU flag inside all classrooms mandatory.

Unlike today, true democracy existed in 19th Century America.  Because the size of House districts was small the main expense a candidate had was to open a few kegs of beer, jump on the nearest tree stump and explain his positions to voters who may or may not have been sober.  It is the opinion of many that a candidate sounds better with every additional beer.
.In the early Republic House districts had about 30,000 people.  Voters could easily meet their candidate without millions in corrupt special interest money being spent.

"And for those who are still not sure about Europe's ambitions, German Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Roth has called for replacing the principle of unanimity in EU decision-making with qualified majority voting.

"Dear Citizens, the mass immigration of millions of Africans and Muslims to Europe is no coincidence — it is a targeted liquidation of traditional European nation states, as well as the targeted destruction of traditional European values — hence the concept of the traditional family is being liquidated, and patriotism becomes a rude word, because these values ​​are the biggest obstacle to the demolition of nation states.

The United Nations will inject as many millions of dirt poor immigrants as possible into advanced nations.

(TRT World)  -  Thousands of people marched in Brussels on Sunday against a UN pact aimed at fostering cooperation on migration, eclipsing a smaller demonstration in support of the deal, the signing of which brought down Belgium's government last week.

Police said some 5,500 people marched in the bigger protest, organised by Flemish right wing parties in the part of the capital where main European Union institutions are located.

A separate counter-demonstration of around 1,000 people, organised by left-wing groups and non-governmental organisations, took place in the city centre.

Belgian right-wing N-VA, which is the biggest party in parliament, pulled its ministers from the ruling coalition last week after Prime Minister Charles Michel refused its demand that he not sign the UN migration compact in Marrakesh.

Michel had secured a large parliamentary majority in favour of maintaining Belgium’s support of the UN text, with support from the opposition socialists and greens.

Legendary actor Michael Caine defended his support for Brexit during a BBC radio interview, saying, “I’d rather be a poor master of my fate than having someone I don’t know making me rich by running it.”

“What I see is I’m being ruled by people I don’t know, who no one elected, and I think of that as fascist,“ he said on Thursday, adding, ”In the long run, though, it’ll come around.”

Caine, known for his roles in films such as “The Dark Knight” and “Children of Men,” has supported leaving the EU since the 2016 referendum and says he doesn’t listen to scare tactics used by pundits.

Britain is set to officially leave the EU on March 29, 2019, but Prime Minister Theresa May says they could stay under EU rules for months after Brexit.
