(Infowars)  On Wednesday Rep. Thomas Massie announced that he offered an amendment this week to pull funding from an automobile kill switch mandate. 

If enacted, new vehicles sold in the U.S. must be equipped with “impairment detection systems” by 2026. 

The system is able to immobilize the vehicle if the vehicle suspects its driver may be impaired, if the vehicle falsely suspects its driver is impaired, or if and when the system inevitably malfunctions.

“A new law is poised to reshape your driving experience, and it’s raising serious red flags. Hidden within the 1,100 page, 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Section 24220 mandates that every new car sold in the U.S. by 2026 must include a ‘kill switch’ to detect and prevent impaired driving,” CBT News reported in June. 

“This technology could transform your vehicle into a judgmental machine, potentially shutting it down at the worst possible moment, driving up costs, and undermining your autonomy. From soaring car prices to privacy concerns and questions about who’s really behind this push, this issue demands your attention.”

The looming Orwellian automobile kill switch deadline threatens civil liberties. When your car shuts down because it doesn’t approve of your driving, how will you appeal your roadside conviction?

I’ve offered an amendment this week to defund this federal mandate.

The next Covid-style lockdown or political protest will become a lot easier for the technocrats to manage when everyone must walk.

“Section 24220 of the 2021 infrastructure bill requires all new vehicles sold in the U.S. starting in 2026 to include “advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology.” The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is still finalizing the details, but this could involve cameras monitoring eye movements, sensors analyzing driving patterns, or touch-based blood-alcohol detectors. If the system flags you as ‘impaired,’ your car could refuse to start or even stop while you’re driving,” CBT News reported in June.

Texas has moved to the forefront of a national campaign to regulate children’s access to digital platforms by mandating that Apple and Google verify the ages of all users on their app stores.

Under a new law signed by Governor Greg Abbott, set to take effect January 1, 2026, those under 18 will be required to obtain parental consent before downloading apps or making in-app purchases. The measure has been pitched as a way to protect minors, but privacy advocates warn it could come at the expense of everyone’s digital freedom.

The requirement places app store operators in the role of gatekeepers, forcing them to gather and store sensitive personal information to determine user ages.

Opponents argue that such age checks do not just affect young users, (explicit adult content apps are already banned from app stores) and they also undermine anonymity online by tying a person’s digital presence to a verified real-world identity. 

That level of surveillance risks chilling free expression and stifling dissent by making it harder for people to speak or access information without fear of being identified.

Efforts to regulate youth access to apps and online services are gaining traction elsewhere as well. Utah enacted a similar policy earlier this year, and Congress is weighing federal legislation. Texas lawmakers are also advancing a separate bill that would prohibit users under 18 from accessing social media altogether.

The WNBA is utilizing new technology this season to squash out "hate speech" among its fans. 

The league announced a new initiative titled "No Space for Hate" this week ahead of the season tip-off. The campaign will include the use of AI social media monitoring tools that will help the league enforce a revised code of conduct. 

"As part of the comprehensive plan, the WNBA is rolling out an AI-powered technology solution to monitor social media activity, in partnership with players and teams, to help protect the community from online hate speech and harassment," the announcement read.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the WNBA for further clarification about how the technology will be used, but has not received a response. 

A revised WNBA fan code of conduct includes regulations for fans on social media, and threats of sanctioning those fans from official content if they are violated. The new policy lists racist, homophobic, sexist, sexual, threatening or libelous content as "subject to blocking or deletion." 

"Repeat violations of these guidelines may result in the violator no longer being able to follow our news, comment on our posts or send us messages," the policy reads. "Additionally, any direct threats to players, referees or other league and team personnel may be referred to law enforcement and may result in the violator being banned from all WNBA arenas and events."

COVID Death Jab protected till 2029

(The Defender)  The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) extended liability protection to COVID-19 vaccine makers and those administering the shots through Dec. 31, 2029. The extension takes effect Jan. 1, 2025.

HHS Secretary Xavier Beccera said the extension is needed because COVID-19 poses a “credible risk” to public health now and in the future.

“I have determined that the spread of SARS-CoV-2 or a virus mutating therefrom and the resulting disease COVID-19 constitutes a credible risk of a future public health emergency,” Beccera said in the announcement.

“Development of and stockpiling vaccines, therapeutics, devices, and diagnostics for COVID-19 continues to be needed for U.S. preparedness against the credible threat of a public health emergency due to outbreaks of COVID-19,” Beccera added.

Kim Mack Rosenberg, general counsel for Children’s Health Defense (CHD), called the last-minute move by the Biden administration “very concerning” because it protects industry and the government and “allows for largely unfettered product development.”

This is the 12th extension of the liability shield for COVID-19 countermeasures since January 2020, when HHS declared a public health emergency under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act).

The act provides legal immunity to “covered persons” who manufacture or administer countermeasures during a public health emergency, including vaccine makers, manufacturers of masks and other personal protective equipment, and physicians, nurses and pharmacists who administer vaccines covered under the act.

Although the Biden administration ended its COVID-19 public health emergency in May 2023, the public health emergency HHS declared in January 2020 under the PREP Act remains in effect.

Employees fired for refusing COVID shots win over $1 million each

SAN FRANCISCO (LifeSiteNews) — Six former public transit employees who lost their jobs over a COVID shot mandate have been awarded over $1 million each following their lawsuit against their employer.

The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) workers, who had requested religious exemptions to the jab mandate, were among reported “hundreds” of BART employees who “felt like their vaccine exemption requests weren’t taken seriously,” according to ABC7 News.

A total of “109 employees’ requests for religious exemption were denied,” the lawsuit said, according to the New York Post. The suit stated that the dismissal of BART employees violates the First Amendment, as well as “federal and state anti-discrimination in employment laws.”

According to local news reports, BART technically granted “exemptions” to the COVID shot mandate but did not provide accommodations, essentially rendering the exemptions meaningless. The plaintiffs pointed out that an accommodation would have allowed them to work from home or regularly test for COVID before coming into work. Instead, they simply lost their jobs.

ABC7 reporter J.R. Stone spoke to BART employees in 2021 who had been involved in other settlements and found them resolute in fighting what they criticized as unjust decisions.

“I’ve been homeless before and this is what I told the BART board, ya know. I’m not afraid to be homeless again, it is what it is, but now they’re tapping into people’s rights and I’m not going to stand for that, not on my watch,” Rhiannon Doyle told Stone in 2021.

“I’m not giving in, and there’s a number of us that have the same opinion. We’re not giving in, we’re holding ground, holding firm on what our beliefs are,” said Albert Roth.

Ukrainian Parliament Votes To Ban Orthodox Church

Ukraine’s parliament voted on Tuesday on a bill that would ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), which has historic links to Russia but severed ties with the Moscow Patriarchate following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The UOC has also denounced the Russian invasion, but these steps were not enough for Ukrainian officials, who still accuse it of having ties with Moscow. 

The crackdown on the UOC has involved church raids, the arrest of priests, and the eviction of clergy from the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Monastery of the Caves.

The legislation would allow Ukrainian authorities to ban the UOC by prohibiting the activity of the Russian Orthodox Church or any religious groups tied to it.

President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to sign the bill into law since he welcomed its passing. “Today, I want to note the work of the Verkhovna Rada. A law on our spiritual independence has been adopted,” Zelensky said.
