Conservative Socialism

Is there really any difference?
There is little effective difference between a Labour or Conservative Prime Minister.

Conservative Socialism  -  The so-called British "Conservative" Party plans to force millions of homeowners to effectively pay Green Taxes if they dare to try and improve their homes.

  • Conservatives (be they British, German or American) totally believe in Big Government . . . as long as they are the ones in charge of it.

Under new policies proposed by Britain's Conservative Party homeowners could be forced to pay for eco-friendly renovations when they want to make simple household repairs.

The scheme would affect people installing windows, boilers or even conservatories in what has been dubbed a 'green tax'.

Socialist local councils would be given powers to force you add a new roof and wall insulation or draught proofing on doors before giving you the go-ahead.

If approved, the new rules would come into force in April 2014 and they could add 10% 'green' levy to a building project, according to the Daily Mail.
The work is aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of Britain's homes.

The new regulations, which will apply to specified home improvements including loft and garage conversions, conservatory extensions, and boiler or window replacements, could come into effect as early as October when the Green Deal is set to be officially launched.

Homeowners will be able to borrow £10,000 to carry out the work and pay it back through their energy bills for up to 25 years.

A lone Conservative MP named Tim Yeo, chairman of the Energy and Climate Change Committee, somewhat criticized the plans but still insisted on Big Government involvement.  He said: "If people are spending their own money on a new boiler compulsory intrusion is not appropriate.  Encouragement or information about the scheme is justified, but it should be made an absolute requirement to have builders inside your home."

Yes, Karl Marx won.

The Conservative Party of old is as dead as Winston Churchill.
Karl Marx and Big Brother won the war of ideas.  Those who claim to be Conservative never question the very Marxist and authoritarian ideas that are the underpinnings of the state.
