A Little Monday Music - South of the Border (Down Mexico Way)

Starting The Week off on a High Note
  • I have decided to try and start each new week off on a positive high note. But being a glass half empty kind of guy I suspect things will turn into crap soon enough.

South of the Border is a 1939 Western film directed by George Sherman and starring Gene AutrySmiley Burnette, and June Storey.

The title song has remained popular for decades having been covered by many of the most popular singers of the last century.

Written by Betty Burbridge and Gerald Geraghty, based on a story by Dorrell and Stuart E. McGowan, the film is about a federal agent who is sent to Mexico to prevent foreign powers from gaining control of Mexican oil refineries and fomenting revolution among the Mexican people.
