U.S. Blows Up U.S. Ship To Scare China

You Sunk My Battleship
  • Pardon me U.S. Navy, but I suspect that China is not impressed. Per the South China Morning Post, the Chinese hypersonic anti-ship missiles boast a terminal velocity of Mach 10, which is ten times the speed of sound.

This summer, the U.S. Navy conducted SINKEX drills, where three decommissioned warships were sunk during live-fire exercises, including the USS Dubuque and USS Tarawa.

-These exercises date back to the 19th century and have been used to test new weaponry and tactics.

-Notably, historic tests like the 1923 bombing of battleships by Brig. Gen. Billy Mitchell and the 1946 nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll demonstrated the effectiveness of airpower and nuclear weapons against naval vessels, shaping modern naval strategy.

This summer, the United States Navy saw three of its warships sunk – but not by Houthi missiles or drones, and certainly not by any "advanced" Russian fighter. It wasn't Chinese "carrier missiles" used to send the vessels to the sent to the bottom. Rather, the vessels were retired warships that were employed in carefully planned SINKEX drills.

Two of the vessels – the decommissioned Austin-class amphibious transport dock ex-USS Dubuque (LPD-8) and the amphibious assault ship ex-USS Tarawa (LHD-1) – were sunk during the recently concluded Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC). Both of the retired U.S. Navy warships were sunk in waters 15,000 feet deep, more than 50 nautical miles off the northern coast of the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

Judge Rules RFK Jr. Can Sue Biden Over Censorship

(Zerohedge)  A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. can continue to pursue his lawsuit against the Biden administration over censorship at the direction of the government.

The decision comes after a June ruling by the Supreme Court, which established who can sue the Biden administration for violating their First Amendment rights when government officials pressured social media companies to suppress free speech did not have standing to sue.

According to District Court Judge Terry Doughty, Kennedy meets the standard set by the Supreme Court because there is "ample evidence" to show he was censored at the direction of government actors, and is at "substantial risk" that the censorship will continue, the Daily Caller reports.

Kennedy was named by one of the "Disinformation Dozen" - and was specifically targeted by the government over what they alleged was COVID-19 misinformation, Doughty noted in his ruling - adding that there is "not much dispute" that Kennedy, and his organization - Children's Health Defense, were "were specifically targeted by the White House, the Office of Surgeon General, and CISA [Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency]."

"The Court finds that there is further risk for future risk injury here because Kennedy is a 2024 presidential candidate," wrote Doughty.

COVID-1984 Death Jab Required By Comrade Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign requires all staff to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations as per CDC guidelines, according to the campaign’s official website.

The presidential campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris has instituted a strict COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all potential employees, as reported by the Daily Wire.

According to the campaign’s official website, individuals interested in working for Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, must be “up to date” on their COVID-19 vaccination status, following guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The campaign’s job postings clearly state that adherence to the vaccination policy is a condition of employment unless prohibited by applicable law. The policy outlines that employees must be vaccinated according to the CDC’s current recommendations, which include the updated 2023–2024 COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Novavax.

Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985) – A Review

By Gary;

Sometime back in the 20th Century I had a video tape of Remo Williams: The Adventura Begins. Somewhere along the line the tape vanished, But then along comes the streaming service Tubi. Now Remo and I have been reunited and it feels so good.

I saw it in the theater, but the love of the movie grows over the years.

The film is an oddball mix of action, martial arts and comedy with a big portion of government corruption.

Remo is a snapshot in time. The movie holds up fairly well.

At its release Remo was perhaps the best B+++ film ever made.

It is refreshing to see old time stunt work done by real stuntmen instead of fake looking CGI.

For those who have not seen Remo, it is truly a guilty pleasure popcorn flick.

Thoughts from YouTube fans

I loved this movie when I was 15 in 1985, and still love now at 52. Just a great movie full of hilarious lines and stunts.

Chiun is the best thing ever. I can't believe this movie didn't turn into a 6 movie franchise.

One thing I teach my children is that fear is just a feeling, and that fear by itself won't kill them, thanks Chiun, I'll remember that as long as I live.

Chiun's racial supremacy, metaphors, irony and ego was hilarious. I've read over 40 Destroyer books and I never got enough of Chiun's dialog.

I grew up watching this movie and listening to The Destroyer series on audio books that my dad (truck driver) would bring home. I still love them. Chiun is one of my all time favorite fictional characters.

One of my most favorite films! Great cast, directed by Guy Hamiliton, music by Craig Safan. Love the humor and the relationship between Remo and Chiun. Perhaps not PC by today's standards, but Joel Grey remains a remarkable actor. Just a wonderful popcorn movie!

I've probably read over 120 of the 150 books in the series this movie was based on. When I heard that Joel Grey had been cast as Chiun I had a fit. Railed about horrible miscasting, lack of vision for the source material, and several other reasons that the casting was just wrong. But, like Michael Keaton's Batman and Heath Ledger's Joker (both of which I bitched about as well), Joel Grey absolutely nailed it. He WAS Chiun.

0% interest home loans for illegals

(Daily Mail)  Californians are reacting angrily to revelations that migrants who entered the US illegally could soon benefit from a taxpayer-funded state scheme to help hard-up residents buy homes.

Democrats on the California Senate Appropriations Committee have approved a bill to move forward that would open up the California Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan program to non-legal migrants.

The scheme was launched last year and has already provided thousands of first-time homebuyers with loans of up to 20 percent of a house's purchase price for down payment or closing cost.

San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond said the bill was a waste of taxpayers' money.

'Once again, California has chosen to prioritize illegal immigration and fiscal irresponsibility over the needs of its citizens,' Desmond posted on X.

'Expanding this program to include illegal immigrants is not just another handout — it's a massive overreach that shifts the financial burden onto law-abiding taxpayers.'

Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, a Fresno Democrat, in January introduced his bill to expand the scheme's eligibility to undocumented migrants.

The amendment alters the program by stating that applicants 'shall not be disqualified by the agency solely based on the applicant's immigration status.'

In California, that amounts to 1.85 million migrants without legal papers, according to Pew Research Center estimates.

A Little Monday Music - Wet Wet Wet - Love Is All Around

Starting The Week off on a High Note

  • I have decided to try and start each new week off on a positive high note. But being a glass half empty kind of guy I suspect things will turn into crap soon enough.

Wet Wet Wet are a Scottish soft rock band formed in 1982. They scored a number of hits on the UK charts and around the world in the 1980s and 1990s.

They are best known for their 1994 cover of the Troggs' 1960s hit "Love Is All Around", which was used on the soundtrack to the film 4 Weddings and a Funeral. The song was an international success, and spent 15 weeks atop the British charts.
