Cyberbullying laws increase Big Brother control over free Internet speech

Government to protect losers from life.
Big Brother is attacking the Internet because the losers
of life cannot use a delete button.

Free speech frightens both the pathetic losers of the world but also Big Brother government.

The latest fad the government is pushing in so-called cyberbullying laws to protect idiots who are not smart enough to hit a delete button.  These new anti-free speech laws are working their way through the system in Canada, California and other states.

Here’s how Nova Scotia’s new Cyber Safety Act, which went into effect this month, will go about tamping down free speech on the Internet.

Someone feels that you’re cyberbullying them. They visit or phone the court and request a protection order against you (minors , or some reason, cannot do so, only adults).

A judge decides if their claim meets the law’s definition. The definition of cyberbullying, in this particular bill, includes “any electronic communication” that ”ought reasonably be expected” to “humiliate” another person, or harm their “emotional well-being, self-esteem or reputation.”

The issuing of a protection order is an ex parte process between your accuser and the court. You won’t have an opportunity to defend yourself reports Macleans News.

If a judge issues one against you, here’s what might happen:
  • The police can seize your computers and phone.
  • Your Internet connection can be shut off.
  • You can be ordered to stop using electronic devices entirely.
  • Your Internet Service Provider or Internet companies, such as Facebook, can be compelled to fork over all your data to the police.
  • You can be gagged by the court and prohibited from mentioning your accuser online.
  • If you violate any of these orders, you’ll face stiff fines and up to two years of jail time. At this point, your accuser can sue you in civil court.

But wait, there’s more.

If your kid is found to be a cyberbully, you are deemed to be a cyberbully as well for not stopping them, unless you can prove that you tried really hard to. Any civil suit would target you.

The act also modifies the Nova Scotia Education Act to make school principals somewhat responsible for what their students do online. It’s now their job to “promote and encourage safe and respectful electronic communications” between students wherever they are. So if a kid disrespects another kid on Facebook, a principal can suspend them for five days — something the principal could feel compelled to do.

Losers don't know what this button is for.
It appears that the pathetic losers of the world, who claim they are "victims" of cyberbullying, do not know the delete button exists.  When some bully is being "mean" to them on the net they cannot manage to ignore the message and delete it.  Instead Big Brother starts making laws to protect the losers of life from the Internet . . . and increase their control over free speech.

Police may block mobile devices via Apple
Police will have control over what can and cannot be
documented on wireless devices during any public event.

Apple has patented a piece of technology which would allow government and police to block transmission of information, including video and photographs, from any public gathering or venue they deem “sensitive”, and “protected from externalities.”

In other words, these powers will have control over what can and cannot be documented on wireless devices during any public event.

And while the company says the affected sites are to be mostly cinemas, theaters, concert grounds and similar locations, Apple Inc. also says “covert police or government operations may require complete ‘blackout’ conditions,” reports RT News.

“Additionally,” Apple says,” the wireless transmission of sensitive information to a remote source is one example of a threat to security. This sensitive information could be anything from classified government information to questions or answers to an examination administered in an academic setting.”

The statement led many to believe that authorities and police could now use the patented feature during protests or rallies to block the transmission of video footage and photographs from the scene, including those of police brutality, which at times of major events immediately flood news networks and video websites.

Apple patented the means to transmit an encoded signal to all wireless devices, commanding them to disable recording functions.

Those policies would be activated by GPS, and WiFi or mobile base-stations, which would ring-fence ("geofence") around a building or a “sensitive area” to prevent phone cameras from taking pictures or recording video.

Apple may implement the technology, but it would not be Apple's decision to activate the “feature” – it would be down governments, businesses and network owners to set such policies, analyzes ZDNet technology website.

Having invented one of the most sophisticated mobile devices, Apple now appears to be looking for ways to restrict its use.

“As wireless devices such as cellular telephones, pagers, personal media devices and smartphones become ubiquitous, more and more people are carrying these devices in various social and professional settings,” it explains in the patent. “The result is that these wireless devices can often annoy, frustrate, and even threaten people in sensitive venues.”

The company’s listed “sensitive” venues so far include mostly meetings, the presentation of movies, religious ceremonies, weddings, funerals, academic lectures, and test-taking environments.

New York just "found" 5,254 extra Democrat ballots from 2012

"Corruptus in Extremis"
Funny how 86% of the "extra" votes found after
election day go to Leftist political parties.

The People's Republic of New York  -  The New York State Board of Elections has revised its official November 2012 election returns. This is because, in June, the New York City Board of Elections found an additional 6,435 ballots that had never been included in the original tally.

This is the second time the State Board has revised its totals for this election upwards; a similar adjustment was made in April.

Totals for all offices were adjusted. For President, the following parties gained the following amounts of votes from the recent update:

  • Democratic 5,254
  • Republican 795
  • Working Families 243
  • Conservative 67
  • Green 46
  • Libertarian 27
  • Party for Socialism and Liberation 2
  • Constitution 1

These new votes are from Brooklyn.

Governments spy on 38,000 Facebook users

Protesters and political activists targeted
Corrupt Secret Courts issue phony "search warrants"
for millions of records at once.

Facebook received about 26,000 government requests for information about 38,000 users in the first six months of 2013, with half of the orders coming from the United States government.

The social networking service published the numbers on Monday, following the release of customer information data requests from Microsoft and Google. Facebook said government agents from 74 countries demanded information about its users, but the vast majority of these requests came from the US, the Associated Press reported.

Classified documents leaked to the Guardian newspaper recently revealed that the National Security Agency (NSA) paid millions of dollars to keep tech companies – including Facebook – cooperating with the US government reports RT News.

US federal law allows the government to demand Facebook data without a warrant, and companies must fight such requests in secret court hearings if they deny them.

Facebook provided user data in response to about 60 percent of such requests, AP reports. And out of all US government information requests, the social networking service released some data about 79 percent of the user accounts in question.

But because the US government prohibits companies from releasing exact numbers on how often they have been forced to turn over information, Facebook has been unable to specify exactly how many of the 38,000 user information requests came from the US. Facebook has announced the exact number of requests for all other countries, but simply provided a number range for the US.

Worldwide, police and intelligence agencies have turned to Facebook to request information about government and law enforcement targets, such as activists who staged anti-government protests in Turkey.

Facebook received 96 information requests for 173 Facebook users from the Turkish government in the first half of this year, but initially denied allegations that it released information about protesters. Now, the social media giant admits that it provided some information about 45 of these users.

“We fight many of these requests, pushing back when we find legal deficiencies and narrowing the scope of overly broad or vague requests,” Colin Stretch, Facebook’s general counsel company, said in a blog post. “When we are required to comply with a particular request, we frequently share only basic user information, such as name.”

Overall, the six countries who submitted requests for information on over 1,000 users are the US, France, Italy, India, Germany and the UK. Russia, the largest country in the world, only submitted one data request for user information throughout the six-month period.

Facebook told AP that it plans to regularly release data on user information requests it receives from government agencies.

The Media & Politicians Beat the Drums of War

War - War - War
Kill - Kill - Kill
Death - Death - Death
The Constitution has no meaning to the Republicrat Party
that misrules over America.

By Gary;

The Beltway Ruling Elites have gone fucking insane.

From the talking heads on TV, to the Elite Media, to the spineless liars in Congress we see the drums of war beaten for Syria with next to zero mention that the Constitution even exists.

Fox News is guilty as Hell of yellow journalism.  During dim bulb John Kerry's press statement on Syria, Fox News was showing pictures of crying Arab babies and corpses.

While the Media is pushing for war and ratings the hack liars in both parties act as mindless cheerleaders for endless unconstitutional wars to take people's minds off domestic economic problems, corruption and the NSA and IRS scandals.  Not to mention war is serious payback to the bipartisan military-industrial complex that funds Congressional campaigns.

War, War and More War.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.

The "Conservative" wing of the Democrat Party (known as Republicans) joined in through Speaker Boehner.  "The speaker made clear that before any action is taken, there must be meaningful consultation with members of Congress . . . ," GOP Speaker Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said in a statement.

Bullshit.  The Republicans are worthless.  The Constitution requires an open debate and vote of Congress on any war.  PERIOD.

But our pretend Republican "opposition party" and their Democrat buddies ignore the Constitution.  Both parties want to hide under their desks and not go on record making life and death decisions.

I am totally disgusted by these fools.  If only there were free elections in this nation so we could vote out both parties.

An Impeachable Offence.
Comrade Obama has waged three unconstitutional wars without a vote of Congress.  One was the attack and overthrow of the government of Libya.  Number two has been the CIA arming of Islamist rebels to overthrow the government of Syria.  The third war is still going on in Yemen with endless American air attacks.
.
Cowering in total fear, the Congress has abdicated their power to declare war and granted it to the Caesar-of-the-moment in the White House.  Against the will of our Founding Fathers the nation goes to war based on the whims of a single man who has avoided military service himself.

"The power to declare war, including the power
of judging the causes of war, is fully and exclusively
vested in the legislature."

Boy Scouts must take Transvestites or lose tax-exempt status

The Insane are running the Asylum
Nutcase Democrats want to subject helpless children
to insane social re-engineering.

The People's Republic of California  -  An insane California bill that would strip tax-exempt status from the Boy Scouts of America and other “discriminatory” nonprofit youth-serving groups if they refused to accept transvestites, gays or lesbians.

Many of these private clubs are faith based and connected to churches.  Liberal fascists want to tell private organizations who is allowed to be members.

The first-of-its-kind bill, SB 323, passed the California Senate and sailed through Assembly committees to a floor vote, possibly this week.
.
The bill, introduced by nutcase State Sen. Ricardo Lara, names the Boy Scouts, Little League, Future Farmers of America and 19 other organizations as examples of groups that could be stripped of their tax-exempt status if found to discriminate based on gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, race, religion or religious affiliation reports the Washington Times.

The measure also threatens tax-exempt status for public and private schools found to sponsor discriminatory youth groups. One critic said it could even threaten an exemption status held by a church.

“Traditional values regarding heterosexuality are being branded as the legal equivalent of racism, and so there’s the quite genuine fear that the tax code really is the battleground against the traditional churches,” said Alan Reinach, executive director of Church State Council, which opposes SB 323.

“It’s not about ‘live and let live.’ If the churches do not conform to the values of homosexuality, then we will lose our standing in society,” he said.

Proponents of Lara’s bill — called the Youth Equality Act — say groups that discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or atheist youths should not receive preferential tax status.

LGBT youths need to be assured that they can have “equal access to participate in all youth organizations,” said Lara, who has spoken of his own experiences as a gay youth.

The usual liberal trash of supporters of the bill include Equality California, the American Civil Liberties Union, the California National Organization for Women, the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, the city of West Hollywood and the Service Employees International Union of California.

Opponents include traditional-values groups, as well as three churches: Calvary Assembly of God, First Christian Church and Lighthouse Baptist Church.

They say SB 323 discriminates against organizations that have faith-based convictions and forces them to adopt the government’s viewpoint on sexual orientation and gender identity in their hiring, practices, membership, objectives or activities.

Many youth groups do not even hold their own tax-exempt status, but operate under the exemption of their church conference, said Reinach, whose public policy organization focuses on religious-freedom issues.

So if a youth group is found to be discriminatory, “what are you going to do — revoke the tax exemption for two dozen schools and 150 churches or at least all of their youth groups?” he asked.
Reinach also wondered how the California Franchise and Tax Board would decide what is discriminatory, and how would it enforce the collection of taxes for sales of hot dogs, sodas and cookies.

“Volunteers are going to collect tax and send it in. Really?” he asked.

Other opponents include Capitol Resource Institute, Concerned Women for America of California, Pacific Justice Institute and Traditional Values Coalition.

Gay-friendly bills have appeared to be unstoppable in the California, and SB 323 has followed the same trajectory.

Gov. Jerry Brown has eagerly signed several other bills strengthening gay rights.
Brian McClintock, a spokesman for the Little League, said his group already has policies not to discriminate on the “basis of race, creed, color, national origin, marital status, gender, sexual orientation or disability.”

Two people associated with Future Farmers of America but not authorized to speak for it said they couldn’t imagine why their organization was named in the bill.

Scott Walter at the Philanthropy Daily blog called the bill “totalitarian” and said it misunderstood a basic premise: that tax-exempt status is given to legitimate service organizations, not just those that are government-preferred or popular.

All 25,000 students fail college entrance exam

Suddenly American Schools Look Good
Out of 25,000 students not one passed the
entrance exam for college.

Nearly 25,000 students failed the test for admission to the University of Liberia, one of two state-run universities.  But at least in Liberia they actually fail students.  In the U.S. every student would have been passed and then been given a trophy to improved their self esteem.

The students lacked enthusiasm and did not have a basic grasp of English, a university official told the BBC.

Liberia is recovering from a brutal civil war that ended a decade ago.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, a Nobel peace laureate, recently acknowledged that the education system was still in a "in a mess", and much needed to be done to improve it reports the BBC News.

Many schools lack basic education material and teachers are poorly qualified, reports the BBC's Jonathan Paye-Layleh reports from the capital, Monrovia.

However, this is the first time that every single student who wrote the exam for a fee of $25 (£16) has failed, our reporter says.

It means that the overcrowded university will not have any new first-year students when it reopens next month for the academic year, he adds.

Students told him the result was unbelievable and their dreams had been shattered, our reporter says.

Education Minister Etmonia David-Tarpeh told the BBC Focus on Africa programme that she intended to meet university officials to discuss the failure rate.

"I know there are a lot of weaknesses in the schools but for a whole group of people to take exams and every single one of them to fail, I have my doubts about that," Ms David-Tarpeh said. "It's like mass murder."

Ms David-Tarpeh said she knew some of the students and the schools they attended.

"These are not just schools that will give people grades. I'd really like to see the results of the students," she added.

University spokesman Momodu Getaweh told BBC Focus on Africa that the university stood by its decision, and it would not be swayed by "emotion".

"In English, the mechanics of the language, they didn't know anything about it. So the government has to do something," he said.

"The war has ended 10 years ago now. We have to put that behind us and become realistic."

The New University of Liberia

Flag of Liberia, founded by freed American slaves.

The University of Liberia
The school is a publicly funded institution of higher learning located in Monrovia, Liberia. Authorized by the national government in 1851, the school opened in 1863 as Liberia College and became a university in 1951.  The University of Liberia has six colleges, three professional schools (including a law school and medical school), and three graduate programs with a total of approximately 18,000 students.
.
In 1847, Liberia declared its independence from the American Colonization Society. In 1851 the new national legislature authorized the creation of a state college and chartered Liberia College. Financing was provided by the New York Colonization Society and the Trustees of Donations for Education in Liberia, both United States organizations. These two groups provided almost all of the funds for the school during the 19th century and were responsible for hiring the faculty.

President James Monroe
Founded in 1822,  Monrovia is named in honor of U.S. President James Monroe, a prominent supporter of the colonization of Liberia. Along with Washington, D.C., it is one of two national capitals to be named after a U.S. President.
.
Monrovia was founded thirty years after Freetown, Sierra Leone, the first permanent Black American settlement in Africa.

Bobby Jindal Says No to Impeachment of Obama

The GOP - A Party of Giant Pussies.
Bobby Jindal joins the ranks of ball-less and spineless
Sheeple Republicans frightened to stand for anything.

Amazing.  The United States appears to be the only democracy on earth without an opposition party.

The Marxists are on the March to abolish the Constitution, start a race war, steal our property, re-distribute the wealth, bankrupt the nation, conduct unconstitutional wars and build a NSA 1984 Surveillance Police State.  And when the GOP is not actively voting with the Democrats to grow government they are sitting around sucking their thumbs trying not to look too fucking stupid.

Now GOP Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal comes out saying doing nothing is best.  He claims he disagrees with many of President Obama’s policies, notably Obamacare, but it’s not time to talk about kicking the President out of the White House through impeachment.

May I ask when will it be time?

Voters gather around to see a rare sight -
the nearly extinct Republican that believes in something.

“I reject that kind of talk. The reality is I didn’t like it when the left spent eight years trying to de-legitimize President Bush, call into question his election,”  Jindal, a Republican, told NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I don’t think we should be doing that for President Obama. The reality is, one of the great things about this country is we do have a peaceful transfer of power.”
.
Jindal was responding to long-shot talk of drawing up impeachment charges against Comrade Obama.

The idea has surfaced among conservative lawmakers and constituents at town hall meetings involving the likes of Sen. Tom Coburn, Oklahoma Republican, the New York Times reported Sunday.

Instead of talking about impeachment,  Jindal said, the party should focus on topics such as school choice and repealing the Affordable Care Act.

Yeah, school choice.  Meanwhile the Bill of Rights is being raped on live TV.

The Castrated Sheeple of the United States.
The American Republic is dead.  The corpse just does not know it yet and still quivers at times.  There is not even an opposition party to fight against the March of Marxism.

.
From massive spending to debt to unconstitutional spying to unconstitutional wars, the so-called "Conservative" Republican Party has just rolled over claiming they will fight later, in the fullness of time, when the conditions are right.  But years go by and somehow "later" never comes.
.
The American Sheeple of a once great nation eagerly report to Big Brother DHS castration centers to be "fixed", scanned, tagged like animals and then assigned the proper, politically correct amount of feed for the day.
.
An all-powerful Big Brother State tells the Sheeple, "Just give us your balls and you will be safe." And the American Sheeple bleat, "Yes Master. We obey Big Brother."

US & UK get forces in position to attack Syria

Don't worry Islamists, we are here to help.
Caesar Obama and his lackey David Cameron appear ready to attack Syria without a vote of Congress or Parliament.

Britain is planning to join forces with America and launch military action against Syria within days in response to the gas attack both nations "claim" was carried out by President Bashar al-Assad’s forces.  The military is on the move even though there has been no time to even conduct an investigation.

Naturally there is no proof of Assad's involvement, but since when is proof needed to start a war?

Royal Navy vessels are being readied to take part in a possible series of cruise missile strikes, alongside the United States, as military commanders finalise a list of potential targets.

Government sources said talks between the Prime Minister and international leaders, including Barack Obama, would continue, but that any military action that was agreed could begin within the next week reports the UK Telegraph.

As the preparations gathered pace, William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, warned that the world could not stand by and allow the Assad regime to use chemical weapons against the Syrian people “with impunity”.

Constitution?  What Constitution?

Britain, the US and their allies must show Assad that to perpetrate such an atrocity “is to cross a line and that the world will respond when that line is crossed”, he said.

The Pentagon is moving naval forces closer to Syria in preparation for a possible decision by President Barack Obama to order military strikes says Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.

"The Defense Department has a responsibility to provide the president with options for contingencies, and that requires positioning our forces, positioning our assets, to be able to carry out different options – whatever options the president might choose," Hagel said in tthe Huffington Post.

British forces now look likely to be drawn into an intervention in the Syrian crisis after months of deliberation and international disagreement over how to respond to the bloody two-year civil war.

The Labour Party said Parliament must be recalled if Cameron was considering a military response, but Downing Street sources said this may not be necessary as the Prime Minister retained the right to act urgently if required.

Cameron will face criticism for any British military involvement from many MPs, who believe the Armed Forces are already overstretched and must not be committed to another distant conflict.

Any retaliatory attack would be likely to be launched from the sea as the Syrian air force is judged to be strong enough to shoot down enemy jets.

A Royal Navy nuclear-powered submarine is said to be in the region while a number of warships recently left Britain for exercises in the Mediterranean.

Commanders may also need to make use of the RAF base at Akrotiri, Cyprus for air support.

If military action is approved, the first wave of missiles could start within a week.

America’s Sixth Fleet currently has four guided missile destroyers in the area, each of which could join the attack.

Christian militia standing behind Assad
Let's see, we overthrew the Baath government of Iraq that protected the Christians thus allowing endless Islamist attacks on them.  Now we want to overthrow the Baath government of Syria that protects the Christians and allow Islamist terrorism.

But it would be wrong to say the US is run by fucking morons.

Christians, other minorities in Syria
fear 'ethnic cleansing'

Stars and Stripes   -   Syrian rebels, who are mostly Sunni Muslims, have repeatedly shelled Christian neighborhoods in the city, including Kasaa, with its wide avenues, apartment blocks and leafy parks. The opposition Free Syrian Army claims it strikes only government targets, but constant shelling of the civilian quarter suggests otherwise.

Over the past year, many Christians have fled the neighborhood, moving to other areas of the capital or into neighboring Lebanon. Some who remain say they fear the rebels are aiming to achieve “ethnic cleansing” — the policy of eliminating unwanted ethnic or religious groups by terror that gained international notoriety during the Bosnian war 20 years ago.

Many Syrian Christians say they fear becoming victims of the same kind of targeted anti-Christian violence that resulted from the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003. This persecution, known here as the “American solution,” caused a massive exodus — of the 1.5 million Christians who lived in Iraq in 2000, less than 300,000 remain today.

“The terrorists are trying to push the Christians out of this area,” said Isan Bahri, the 44-year-old owner of a mechanical shop in the Kasaa district of eastern Damascus that the rebels have been trying to capture. “They are not shooting at the army, they are intentionally aiming for civilians.”

The attacks fit an emerging pattern where fighters of the Free Syrian Army, and other jihadist elements, have targeted civilian members of Syria’s various minority groups — primarily Alawites who traditionally supported the government of President Bashar al-Assad, himself an Alawite.

But other groups, including the Kurds, Druze and Christians, who together with the Alawites make up a quarter of Syria’s 22.5 million people, are also seen as supportive of the secular government and therefore viewed as enemies. This week, some 30,000 Syrian Kurds fled into Iraq’s Kurdistan region saying they were being killed by jihadists targeting the minority.

What appears to be a deliberate campaign against these groups poses serious dilemmas for the Obama administration and European nations such as Britain and France, which have planned to support the pro-democracy forces by providing advanced weaponry. They are already grappling with the problem of how to ensure that those arms will not end up in the hands of Jabhat al-Nusra — the al-Qaida-affiliated group that emerged as the most effective and capable of the rebel forces — and the increasing attacks on minorities by insurgents creates an additional quandary.

Although many members of Syria’s ethnic and sectarian groups are in fact secular, approximately three-quarters of the population is nominally comprised of Sunni Muslims. Alawites make up about 11 percent, Christians of various denominations — including Greek Orthodox, Syriac Orthodox, Maronite, Syrian Catholic, Roman Catholic and Greek Catholic — another 10 percent, and the Druze and Shiite contribute 3 percent and 2 percent, respectively, to the total.

Muslim Beauty Contests - Women No, Goats Yes

Beauty is un-Islamic.
Indonesian Muslim clerics lash out at Miss World

Indonesia’s top Islamic authority lashed out Friday at the country’s decision to host the Miss World beauty pageant next month, saying that women exposing their bodies went against Muslim teaching.

The pageant is already facing opposition in Muslim-majority Indonesia, with radicals vowing to stage protests against the contest even after organisers agreed to drop the bikini round in a bid to avoid causing offence.

The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) added its voice to the protests Friday, saying a top-level meeting of clerics earlier this month decided it did not want the pageant in the country reports Agence France-Presse.

“Exposing women’s bodies in public is ‘haram’, forbidden by Islamic teaching,” senior MUI official Muhyiddin Junaidi told reporters in the capital Jakarta.

“Even though the bikini event is being axed, the contestants will still wear tight dresses and expose parts of their body.”

The group also urged the country’s Muslims, more than 90 percent of the 240 million population, not to watch the pageant on television.

Last year, pop sensation Lady Gaga axed a concert after hardliners threatened to burn down the venue and criticised her for wearing only "a bra and panties".

More than 130 women will compete in Miss World, with some rounds on the resort island of Bali and the final in Bogor outside Jakarta. Bogor is in West Java province, parts of which are considered a stronghold for radicals.

Organisers revealed in June that the contestants would not wear bikinis during the beach fashion section, to be held in Bali, and would instead wear more conservative attire such as traditional sarongs.

Muslim Approved Beauty Pageant Held in Mecca
A beauty competition for goats was held in Saudi Arabia.  Auction supervisor Fawzi al-Subhi said that over 170 animals are competing for the coveted title ‘most beautiful goat.’ He expects the winner to be sold for at least 18,000 dollars.

Sunday Concert - U2

For a change of pace this summer we will be doing a Sunday Concert series.
.
U2 is one of my favorite rock bands.  They are an Irish band from Dublin. Formed in 1976, the group consists of Bono (vocals and guitar), The Edge (guitar, keyboards, and vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen (drums and percussion).

The band's eight No. 1 singles on the U.S. Modern Rock charts places them fifth all-time. The band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in early 2005.  U2 have sold more than 150 million records.

With the exception of their first three singles (pre-breakthrough), all the band's singles have charted (many at #1).
