GOP insults Russian Parliament - Refuses to meet delegation of Russian MPs

Valentina Matviyenko
Chairman of the Federation Council
Russian Parliament

Boehner tells Russian MPs to "Fuck off."
GOP Speaker Boehner insults the Russians by refusing to
even meet with their members of Parliament.

Gary Rule #1   -   People are fucking idiots.
.
It is comforting to see that my main rule of life is confirmed nearly every day.

In a deliberate act of rudeness and stupidity the Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives has refused to meet with Russian Members of Parliament to discuss the situation in Syria when they come to Washington.  Boehner effectively told the Russian MPs to fuck off.  Hell, it is only WAR.  What on earth is there to talk about?

Offer Boehner Booze
Maybe the Russians could attract the
old drunk to a meeting with vodka.

The Duma members plan to visit Washington next week to persuade their American counterparts not to attack Syria.

Number three in Washington's political hierarchy, House  Speaker John Boehner, a Conservative from Ohio, has turned down a request from the Russian Embassy to hold a meeting with the delegation of lawmakers.

But Russian MPs plan to pay a visit to the Capitol Hill anyway and are currently busy verifying who exactly will be in the delegation reports RT News.

“We’re planning the visit,” a spokesman of the Russian embassy in Washington told CNN. “We can’t tell you the exact time, but it will be next week,” he said, specifying that members of the upper and lower chambers of the Russian parliament plan to meet with both Republican and Democrat senators and members of Congress.

“I believe we can maintain a dialogue with our partners from the Congress, exchange opinions and arguments for a better understanding of each other,” Federation Council speaker Valentina Matvienko shared, stressing that in absence of solid arguments the Congress would turn down the proposed military operation against Syria.
.
“The speaker has declined the Russian embassy’s request that he meet with a delegation," said Boehner spokesman Michael Steel.

The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee has already voted on Wednesday to approve President Barack Obama's plan to strike Syria.

GOP Insults Russia's Parliament.
I used to think the most stupid person on earth was a liberal Democrat, but I was wrong.  The Conservative Republicans are right up there at the idiot level.
.
Common courtesy says that when an embassy from a nation thousands of miles away comes on a visit to talk about war and regional problems you sit down for a drink and have a discussion.  Instead the GOP House Speaker effectively tells the Russian MPs from the #2 nuclear power on earth to "Fuck off and get lost."
.
No wonder we are at war all the time.

War in Syria, Matt Drudge, the GOP & some random thoughts

Why are GOP leaders backing Obama?
The GOP is schizophrenic. It thinks it is an opposition party
when in reality it is a branch of the Democrat Party.

By Gary;

The GOP leadership is pulling the party apart to back Comrade Obama on Syria.  But I suspect some 75% of GOP opposition to Syria has a lot more to do with self preservation in the 2014 elections than anything else.

This GOP schizophrenia should be expected.  It has been my contention for some time that the "Conservative" Republican Party does not exist.  We basically have a one-party state with two factions that pretend to fight with each other.

Sure there are a few social issues each faction exploits to drum up support: gays, abortion & guns.  But on the important issues of Big Government growth and spending, Police State spying and war the parties are nearly identical.

Matt Drudge asks
Who are the Republicans?

The only real argument is which faction gets to hand out free crap from the US Treasury to reward their followers.

But the GOP is stumped about Syria.

Obama and the CIA have been running guns to the rebels for some time now.  But Republicans want to pretend they are both blind and deaf.  "We see nothing."  Never mind the stories of gun running are in the British papers for the world to read.

Matt Drudge, founder and editor of the influential Drudge Report, is a conservative by all accounts and he has picked up on this general theme. This last week he lashed out at the GOP and he was anti-Republican Party.

“Why would anyone vote Republican?” Drudge tweeted. “Please give reason. Raised taxes; marching us off to war again; approved more NSA snooping. WHO ARE THEY?!”

The tweet came after another that was also critical of the GOP. “It’s now Authoritarian vs. Libertarian,” Drudge wrote. “Since Democrats vs. Republicans has been obliterated, no real difference between parties.”

Libertarian is a nice catch all code word, but it is a bit off.

It is really Authoritarian vs. Constitutional Federalism.  You either believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights or your don't.

That's where the confusion happens on issues like Syria.  You have "Liberal" Democrats and "Conservative" Republicans standing together demanding that the Constitution be ignored and Obama be allowed to bomb the crap out of any nation he wants to.

That is the contest within the GOP for 2014 and 2016.

Will the rather small and underfunded Constitutional Federalist wing of the Republican Party be able to overcome the mountains of special interest money out of Washington and take control of the party?

Farmers want Obama to back off immigration workplace enforcement

Americans could learn from China
Somehow the Chinese (as well as Russians, Egyptians, Turks & Scots) have managed to
harvest their crops for thousands of years without importing Mexican labor.

Racism
It is official government policy that only Hispanics should
get their hands dirty with hard work.
  • Both Liberals and Conservatives feel hard work is beneath the dignity of "modern" Americans.  Democrats and Republicans have agreed to take taxpayer money and pay Americans to do nothing while importing Hispanics.

Read more here: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2013/09/05/201303/farmers-want-obama-to-back-off.html#storylink=cpy

Farming is a big business.  Like all businesses the owners want their labor costs driven as low as possible.  In the case of agriculture, farmers are very happy with the government paying Americans not to work while importing millions of foreign workers willing to take less money.

Farmers’ congressional allies are pressuring the Obama administration to ease up on immigration work-site enforcement, underscoring a conflict at the heart of a broad-based immigration bill.

This week, spurred by complaints from farmers in California’s Central Valley, Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein publicly urged the Department of Homeland Security to “redirect” immigration enforcement efforts toward “serious violent crimes” instead of “legitimate agricultural employers and their workers.”

“The reality is that the majority of farmworkers in the U.S. are foreign-born and unauthorized, which is well-known,” Feinstein wrote Tuesday, adding that she’s “afraid that this aggressive worksite enforcement strategy will deprive the agricultural sector of most of its workforce,” reports McCatchy News.

In 2008, the last year of the George W. Bush administration, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents audited 503 companies nationwide for employee eligibility. Last year, ICE agents conducted more than 3,000 such audits.

In 2008, federal officials issued only 18 “final orders” fining employers and ordering them to stop breaking the law against hiring workers who are in the U.S. illegally. Officials collected $675,209 in fines that year. Last year, officials issued 495 final orders and collected $12.4 million in fines.

America the Lazy.
Big Government has told Americans not to worry about working or learning.
The Marxist Welfare State will provide for your wants and government will
dumb down the schools so you will "feel better" and not be challenged.
.
See our article:  "Blacks say Mexicans are taking away their jobs."

“In agriculture, they’ve been focusing on our processors and our packing facilities, and they are causing a tremendous amount of damage,” Manuel Cunha, the president of the Nisei Farmers League in Fresno, Calif., said in an interview Thursday.

The California farmers pressed the point several weeks ago with Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who was visiting Bakersfield, Calif., as part of a fundraising swing through the Golden State. Cunha said that the farmers, working with GOP and Democrat members of the U.S. House of Representatives from the Central Valley, were trying to raise similar concerns directly with Obama administration officials.

“They’re making these employers fire their workers,” Cunha said.

Border security and interior enforcement play a significant role in the comprehensive immigration bill the Senate passed in June. The massive bill, some 1,920 pages when it passed the Senate Judiciary Committee, grew even larger when senators added more stringent enforcement measures.

The bill includes a provision that requires all employers to adopt the E-Verify employee verification system within five years.

“This is something where we need to have a top-to-bottom approach,” Rep. Jeff Denham of California, one of the House Republicans who now support a comprehensive bill, said during House debate several weeks ago..

The work-site monitoring that’s incited the backlash involves audits of the I-9 forms and accompanying documents that attest to an employee’s work eligibility. Monetary penalties for employers that knowingly hire workers who are in the U.S. illegally start at $375 and may go as high as $16,000 per violation.

Penalties for I-9 violations may range from $110 to $1,100 per violation. This can add up.

Last month, for instance, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a $173,250 civil fine against a small Washington state firm called Ketchikan Drywall Services. An ICE audit concluded that the company had failed to maintain accurate and complete I-9 forms for myriad, mostly temporary employees.

“The penalties were imposed for substantive deficiencies,” Judge A. Wallace Tashima wrote for the court.

Our 51st and 52nd States - Jefferson and Puerto Rico

Statehood Movements are Afoot
More states are a good thing.  Bring in both the more Conservative Jefferson and more Liberal Puerto Rico for a good balance.

The Siskiyou County, California Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 on Tuesday to support the county's split from the state of California.

It's the first in a long series of steps to form the proposed state of Jefferson, which proponents of the effort say would bring representation to rural North State counties that currently are beholden to the whims of representatives of the more heavily populated Southern California and free them from burdensome state regulations.

”We have to have government that's local, understands our issues and has empathy” for those affected, said Mark Baird, a Scott Valley rancher who's also president for Scott Valley Protect Our Water and vice president of the Siskiyou Water User's Association reports the Times-Standard.

Baird is leading the charge to form a new state from rural counties in Northern California and Southern Oregon.

”Many proposed laws are unconstitutional and deny us our God-given rights,” said Gabe Garrison of Happy Camp. “We need our own state so we can make laws that fit our way of life.”

Among those in attendance was Erin Ryan, field representative for GOP Rep. Doug LaMalfa. When asked for the congressman's opinion, she said that she and other LaMalfa staff members supported the effort to secede, but she did not know LaMalfa's thoughts on it.

Humboldt County 1st District Supervisor Rex Bohn said he can understand the frustration in Siskiyou County and that he tends to agree with most of the issues that were brought up by the board.   ”I was one of the people who thinks the State of Jefferson wasn't a bad idea,” Bohn said. “There has been a total lack of respect in terms of our water rights and the fire fee. Those things may not be important to the rest of the state, but it's important to us. This is a major thing for everyone that lives rurally.”

Bohn said the problem is that only 16 percent of the state is rural, and decisions in Sacramento are sometimes based on the needs or realities of more urban areas.

”It's kind of a drastic measure to get someone to listen to you, but I guess they feel like they're not getting heard,” he said.

Bohn added that the Humboldt County supervisors will likely meet to discuss the issue.

Congress says it is time for Puerto Rican
independence or statehood

Key lawmakers told Puerto Rico's governor that it's time for the island to choose between statehood and independence.

Gov. Alejandro García Padilla has been fighting to retain the island's status as a U.S. territory without voting rights, arguing that it provides the economically troubled island with an advantageous tax status. Leaders of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, which has jurisdiction over U.S. territories and insular possessions, said that's unacceptable.

“After 115 years, it is clearly time for Puerto Rico to determine what political path it will take,” said committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-Ore.). “The current status undermines our nation's moral standing around the world,” reports The Hill.

The top Republican on the panel agreed change is in the air.

“It's clear to me the majority of Puerto Ricans don't favor the current status,” said Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who says she's the only sitting senator born in a U.S. territory.

Puerto Rico statehood looks good.
She has called for island residents to have a choice between retaining the current Commonwealth status; statehood; independence; and free association, similar to what the United States has with the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Palau.

The debate comes as Obama has asked for $2.5 million for a new referendum on statehood. Puerto Ricans voted last year in a nonbinding referendum in which 54 percent of voters said they did not want to retain the current status.

García Padilla argues the referendum was invalid because it asked voters to weigh in on the island's “present form of territorial status” instead of calling it by its name, “commonwealth.” Statehood advocates say that's nonsense.

“The current status has now lost its legitimacy,” said Pedro Pierluisi, the island's nonvoting member of Congress and president of the opposition New Progressive Party.

Pierluisi introduced legislation in May calling for an up-or-down referendum on statehood. He has threatened to take the statehood issue to the United Nations if he doesn't get his way.

Puerto Rican lawmakers Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) and Nydia Velázquez (D-N.Y.) are urging their colleagues to oppose the resolution, saying Obama's call for a status referendum is a better approach.

Comrade Obama - The King of all Liars

From the Lying Sack of Crap Department

Comrade Obama:   “I didn’t set a red line, the world set a red line.  My credibility is not on the line. The international community’s credibility is on the line."

Words almost fail me . . . . and that is saying something my friends.

For the longest time Bill Clinton wore the crown of the "King of all Liars".  But Comrade Obama's flawlessly smooth delivery of the most outrageous of lies is staggering.  Obama is now crowned the King.

But what is really sad are the pandering sycophant political whores on both the Left and the Right willing to believe any lie and prostitute themselves for a pat on the head from our King.

God, for what we are about to receive may we be truly fucked.

Unconstitutional Conservatives
Do so-called "Conservatives" actually believe in anything?
Or is it all about ratings, power and money?

The sheer God Damn fucking stupidity of what we call "Conservatives" boggles the mind.

While some Conservatives are standing up for the Constitution (at least this time on Syria), we see an endless stream of right-wingers who prove the point about power corrupting.  These "Conservatives" have raped the Bill of Rights on a regular basis.  Now many argue with a straight face that Obama has the power to go to war at will.  That a Declaration of War is not needed to make war.

Now joining this crowd of unprincipled warmonger whores is Ann Coulter.

Ann Coulter:  "The president doesn't need congressional approval to shoot a few missiles into Syria, nor -- amazingly -- has he said he'll abide by such a vote, anyway. . . . . Why is Congress even having a vote? This is nothing but a fig leaf to cover Obama's own idiotic "red line" ultimatum to President Bashar al-Assad of Syria on chemical weapons. The Nobel Peace Prize winner needs to get Congress on the record so that whatever happens, the media can blame Republicans."

Our Founding Fathers were right.  People are just a bunch of power hungry assholes.

Yes. Character.
I look at Washington.  A giant among a generation of giants.  How I wish I could have been with him at Valley Forge to see his strength of character first hand.

Instead I turn on Fox and CNN and watch a parade of retarded fuck-ups from both parties willing to sell out America or their grandmother for one more term in office or a cushy corporate appointment when they retire.

God help us all.

Does Obama want war with Russia?

The insane Warmongers in both parties just can't wait to kill people

Question:   What happens if U.S. missiles "accidentally" fall on Russian ships or troops in Syria?

The warmongers ignore the question and even the anti-war forces are oblivious to the Russian reality in Syria.

Russia is sending two destroyers, including the Nastoichivy, the flagship of the Baltic Fleet, and the Moskva missile cruiser to the region, Interfax reported today, citing an unidentified Navy official.

That follows last week’s dispatch of a reconnaissance ship to the eastern Mediterranean, four days after the deployment of an anti-submarine ship and a missile cruiser to the area, which were reported by Interfax. Syria hosts Russia’s only military facility outside the former Soviet Union, at the port of Tartus reports Bloomberg News.

Vladimir Putin said Russia may approve military operation in Syria if Damascus is proven to have carried out chemical weapons attacks and UN authorises it.

Vladimir Putin has warned the US against launching military action in Syria, stating that Russia has "plans" on how it would react if such a scenario unfolded.

The Russian president's comments came as Barack Obama for the first time portrayed his plans for US military action as part of a broader strategy to topple Bashar al-Assad, as the White House's campaign to win over sceptics in Congress gained momentum.

In an interview with Associated Press and Russia's state Channel 1 television, Putin said it was too early to talk about what Russia would do if the US attacked Syria but added: "We have our ideas about what we will do and how we will do it in case the situation develops toward the use of force or otherwise. We have our plans," reports the UK Guardian.

Russia dispatched a missile cruiser to the eastern Mediterranean, which will arrive in about 10 days. The ship, Moskva, will take over operations from a naval unit in the region that Moscow says is needed to protect national interests. It will be joined by a destroyer from Russia's Baltic Fleet and a frigate from the Black Sea Fleet.

Putin said on Tuesday that Moscow had provided some components of the S-300 air defence missile system to Syria but has frozen further shipments. He warned: "If we see that steps are taken that violate the existing international norms, we shall think how we should act in the future, in particular regarding supplies of such sensitive weapons to certain regions of the world."

The statement could be a veiled threat to revive a contract for the delivery of the S-300s to Iran, which Russia cancelled a few years ago under strong US and Israeli pressure.

Russian Navy Ships and aircraft In Action

Syria here we come.
The Russian Destroyer Nastoychivy and other ships are on their way to Syria.  No this is not a British ship.  Though similar, it flies the Russian Naval Jack flag with St. Andrew's cross used from 1701—1924; 2001—present.

The Russian naval base in Tartus, Syria.
Tartus hosts a Soviet-era naval supply and maintenance facility, under a 1971 agreement with Ba'athist Syria, which was—until the second year of the Syrian civil war—staffed by Russian naval personnel. Most recently, the facility hosts the Amur class floating workshop PM-138, capable of providing technical maintenance to Russian warships deployed in the Mediterranean.

Let France & Turkey be the Policemen of the Mediterranean

Turkish Armored Units.

Let Turkey and France Police
the Mediterranean
"We Americans have no commission from God
to police the world."
President Benjamin Harrison

By Gary;

For nearly 120 years now American politicians have felt the need to throw their weight around and act as an imperial policeman of the world. Never mind that the world somehow managed to police itself for 10,000 years before an American army came along to "help".

If Syria needs a policeman then let Turkey and France act.  The U.S. has no business in that nation.

Syria was part of the Turkish Ottoman Empire for 400 years, and Syria was under French colonial rule after World War I.

A modest suggestion.  Tell France and Turkey that the Mediterranean Sea belongs to them now.  They have now been promoted to Policemen of the Mediterranean.  We can give them a shiny badge and everything.

It would be cheaper for the U.S. to pay France and Turkey their cost plus 10% profit and let them keep the locals in line.
.
The Turkish Army can do the job in the east.  It has an established strength of approximately 402,000 active personnel.

The Turkish Army's website gives figures as to the number of formations in the Army. The official site gives totals of 9 Army Corps, 1 Infantry Division, 2 Mechanized Infantry Divisions, 1 Armored Division, 1 Training Division, 11 Infantry / Motorized Infantry Brigades, 16 Mechanized Infantry Brigades, 9 Armored Brigades, 5 Para-Commando Brigades, 1 Army Aviation Brigade, 2 Artillery Brigades, 5 Training Brigades and one Humanitarian Aid Brigade

The primary main battle tanks of the Turkish Army are the Leopard 2A4 and the M60T. There are also around 400 Leopard 1 and 750 M60 Patton variants in service (excluding the M60T which were upgraded with the 120 mm MG253 guns), but the Turkish Army retains a large number of older vehicles.

More than 2,800 M48 Pattons are still in service (upgraded with the 105 mm M68 guns).

Charles de Gaulle CVN French Carrier Operations

Turkey - The #3 Air Force in NATO.
Turkish Air Force ranks third in NATO in terms of fleet size behind the United States Air Force and the Royal Air Force. The Turkish Air Force has an active strength of 60,000 military personnel and operates approximately 736 manned aircraft.

The Turkish Navy
The Turkish Navy has a reported active personnel strength of 48,600; this figure included an Amphibious Marines Brigade as well as several Special Forces and Commando detachments. The navy has approximately 215 ships in commission (excluding minor auxiliary vessels) and around 41 maritime aircraft.

Vive la France
France says they are interested in putting Syria in its place.  Fine with me.  I would rather have France be policeman of the Mediterranean than the U.S.
.
French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (above) is the flagship of the French Navy (Marine Nationale) and the largest Western European warship. She is the tenth French aircraft carrier, the first French nuclear-powered surface vessel, and the first and so far only nuclear-powered carrier completed outside of the United States Navy.

The French Foreign Legion
The Legion has acted in the name of France and kicked ass from Mexico to Vietnam to Africa.  It would be cheaper for the U.S. to pay France cost + 10% and let them police the Mediterranean.

U.S. Policeman of the World.
The U.S. will not stop being policeman because it gives us control of money, oil and power to tell everyone what to do.
.
A number of folks have sent me this, so I pass it along. Nafeez Ahmed argues in the Guardian that “Syrian intervention plans fuelled by oil interest, not chemical weapons concerns”. And it is falling out according to grand plans, including a Rand report on the “long war” to embroil jihadists in internal strife so that we don’t lose Gulf oil.

CIA trained Syrian rebels 'on way to battlefield'

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire
Syrian rebels trained and armed by the CIA are on the march.
This was all planned long ago by both parties.

Liars, whores and thieves  -  The bipartisan liars in the White House and Congress are trying hard to close ranks in public and push through greater support for their private CIA backed war in Syria.

The fact of the matter is Western nations have been backing an unconstitutional war with Syria for a long time.  Now the Elites are trying to take their war to the next level and remove the secular pro-Russian government that has been protecting the nation's Christians.  It does not appear to enter into any one's minds what happens to the Christians when the Islamists march in.

"The use of these weapons has to be responded to and only the United States has the capability and capacity to stop Assad and to warn others around the world that this type of behavior is not going to be tolerated," said GOP Speaker John Boehner after meeting with Comrade Obama. "I appreciate the president reaching out to me and my colleagues in the Congress over the last couple of weeks . . . This is something that the United States as a country needs to do. I'm going to support the president's call for action."

Meanwhile the first cell of Syrian rebels trained and armed by the CIA is making its way to the battlefield, President Barack Obama has reportedly told senators.

During a meeting at the White House, the president assured Senator John McCain that after months of delay the US was meeting its commitment to back moderate elements of the opposition.

Comrade Obama said that a 50-man cell, believed to have been trained by US special forces in Jordan, was making its way across the border into Syria, according to the New York Times reports the UK Telegraph.

Obama had announced in June that the US would begin providing the opposition with small arms.

But all this is nothing new to readers of this The Federalist.  See our article The U.S. - Britain are arming the Islamist Syrian Rebels.

Thank You CIA
For months before the "gas attack" the United States had already coordinated a
massive airlift of arms to Syrian rebels from Croatia with the help of Britain
and other European states.  Recently posted videos showing some of the
Croat weapons in the hands of the Jihadist group Ahrar al-Sham.

"An intelligence service is the ideal vehicle for a conspiracy."
Allen Dulles
Director, CIA (1953 - 1961)

A Croat newspaper claimed 3,000 tons of weapons dating back to the former Yugoslavia have been sent in 75 planeloads from Zagreb airport to the rebels, largely via Jordan since November.

The story confirmed the origins of ex-Yugoslav weapons seen in growing numbers in rebel hands in online videos, as described last month by The Daily Telegraph and other newspapers, but suggests far bigger quantities than previously suspected.

The shipments were allegedly paid for by Islamist Saudi Arabia at the bidding of the United States, with assistance on supplying the weapons organised through Turkey and Jordan, Syria's neighbours.

But the report added that as well as from Croatia, weapons came "from several other European countries including Britain", without specifying if they were British-supplied or British-procured arms reports the UK Telegraph.
.
British military advisers however are known to be operating in countries bordering Syria alongside French and Americans, offering training to rebel leaders and former Syrian army officers. The Americans are also believed to be providing training on securing chemical weapons sites inside Syria.

The story in the Jutarnji List newspaper gave the fullest details yet of the arms shipments which have enabled rebel forces to begin advancing across the north of Syria in recent weeks, after months of stalemate.

The weapons, including rocket launchers, recoil-less guns and the M79 anti-tank weapon, have been seen in rebel hands in numerous videos, and were first spotted by an arms expert Eliot Higgins, who blogs under the name Brown Moses. He traced them moving from Dera'a in the south, near the Jordanian border, to Aleppo and Idlib provinces in the north.

Catholic Patriarch of Syria to Obama: Your attack on Assad will only benefit Islamic extremists

"This attack being planned by the
United States is a criminal act"
Gregory III Laham
Patriarch of Antioch of the East, of Alexandria and Jerusalem of the Melkites.

Were the Obama regime to launch an attack on Syria, as Comrade Obama has said he intends to do, it would be “a criminal act, which will only reap more victims,” said Gregory III, the leader of the Greek Catholic Church in Syria and Lebanon.

Beirut (Asia News.)  -  "We must listen to the Pope's appeal for peace in Syria. If western countries want to create true democracy then they must build it on reconciliation, through dialogue between Christians and Muslims, not with weapons. This attack being planned by the United States is a criminal act, which will only reap more victims, in addition to the tens of thousands of these two years of war. This will destroy the Arab world's trust in the West", says Gregory III Laham, Patriarch of Antioch of the East, of Alexandria and Jerusalem of the Melkites.

His appeal entrusted to AsiaNews comes just a few hours after rumors of an imminent United States attack against Damascus. The intervention is supported by other countries: France, Great Britain, Turkey and the Arab League. The religious leader has sent out Pope Francis' August 25 appeal to all of Syria's parishes.

"The voice of Christians - said the Patriarch - is that of the Holy Father. At this time we must be pragmatic. Syria needs stability and an armed attack against the government really has no sense at all".

Gregory III asks, "What or who have led Syria to this thin red line, this point of no return? Who created this hell in which our people have been living for months?". "Every day - he explains - Islamic extremists from all over the world are pouring into Syria with the sole intent to kill and not one country has done anything to stop them, even the U.S. has decided to send in more weapons."

The prelate stresses that the planned U.S. attack will affect the Syrian population above all and is no less serious than the use of chemical weapons.

According to the Patriarch, Western countries continue to support a non existent opposition, which has no authority on the ground in Syria. "All preparation for the Geneva 2 Conference - he said - has been stopped. The word dialogue is now forgotten. For months the Western countries have wasted time in discussions, while people were dying under Assad's bombs and attacks by Islamic al-Qaeda extremists. "

Gregory III warns that a possible victory of the Islamists will give birth to a country divided into small enclaves, which will force Christians into a ghetto. "Our community dwindles every day. Young people are fleeing, families leave their homes and villages."

For the prelate, "the disappearance of the Christians is a danger not only for Syria, but for all of Europe." "Our presence - he says - is the essential condition for a moderate Islam, which exists thanks to the Christians. If we leave, there can be no democracy in Syria. This is supported also by the Muslims themselves, who fear the Islamist's madness.  Many say that they cannot live where there are no Christians".

Christians under attack in Syria
Christians say they are targets of Muslim extremists who have joined the rebels. The country's Christians sided with Syrian President Bashar al Assad, who promised to protect them.

Germany may take in Syrian Christians

The Syriac Church of Antioch

No one cares about the Syrian Christians.
The regime of Comrade Obama, other Western nations, Islamist Turkey, Islamist Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States are all eagerly supporting the Islamist rebels in Syria.  There is no thought at all as to what happens to the large Christian community when the Islamists take power.

Rand Paul: Assad 'Protected Christians'
.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Sunday portrayed the current conflict in Syria as one between the government of President Bashar Al Assad, who Paul said "has protected Christians for a number of decades," and "Islamic rebels," who Paul said "have been attacking Christians" and are aligned with Al Qaeda.
.
"I think the Islamic rebels winning is a bad idea for the Christians, and all of a sudden we'll have another Islamic state where Christians are persecuted," Paul said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
.
Paul urged the U.S. to engage more fully with Russia and China, the two permanent members of the UN Security Council which support Assad.

Iraq Vet Arrested for banjo playing & being against Obama's war

Play a Banjo - Go to Jail
Especially if you oppose Obama's war in Syria.

There are murderers and thieves roaming the halls of Congress . . . I mean, roaming the streets of Philadelphia.  But the cops appear to be more interested in banjo playing Iraq vets.

Emily Yates, a two tour of duty U. S. veteran, was protesting a potential military strike on Syria on Saturday at a rally in Philadelphia. After the rally, while at Independence Mall, Yates was standing with her banjo under a tree when the Federal Parks Police arrested her for no apparent reason.

The Examiner spoke with a witness who filmed the incident and posted the video on YouTube. He said there were a "few dozen" other people around at the time and explained that the bizarre arrest occurred "about an hour or so before a Pro-Marijuana rally that was also going to take place in that area," reports the Examiner.

The witness indicated that he started filming because he "saw her [Yates] being confronted and thought something saucy might happen because those park police are known for using force." On the video, one can clearly see that Yates is not being violent or resisting arrest in any way. Additionally, the Federal Parks Police did not tell her why they were arresting her.

The narrator of the film pointed out a comment made by the police at the 1:16 minute mark. One of the officers was holding her foot and disrespectfully asked, "Is she a fish, game or wildlife?"

The First Amendment to the Constitution cites the "right of the people peaceably to assemble." Was Emily Yates not being peaceful?

A Must Watch Video
This video is very hard to watch.  Big Government is frightened to death of
ideas freely spoken to the public.

Emily served in the Army from 2002 to 2008, which included two combat tours to Baghdad, Iraq – the first from January 2005 to January 2006, the second from March 2007 to May 2008. Three weeks after her second deployment ended, she received her honorable discharge from the military.

Kay:  Senators and Presidents don't have men killed.
Michael:  Oh, who's being naive, Kay?
