Glen Campbell, RIP

John Wayne, Kim Darby and Glen Campbell in True Grit.

Thanks for the Memories

By Gary;

The Grim Reaper is very active.  Every year the list of my favorite actors or singers gets smaller and smaller.

Chicks who I thought were smokin' hot back in the day are now using walkers in rest homes.

Now comes Glen Campbell's passing.

In the 1960s and 70s Campbell was a huge star. He sold 45 million records and accumulated 12 RIAA gold albums, four platinum albums, and one double-platinum album.

Campbell recorded and released 60 studio albums and seven live albums between 1962 and 2017.  He placed a total of 82 singles on either the Billboard Country Chart, the Billboard Hot 100, or the Adult Contemporary Chart, nine of which peaked at number one on at least one of those charts.

My favorite song of his was always Wichita Lineman.  But his role as La Boeuf in True Grit has stood the test of time.

Thanks Glen.
