Christmas is a humbug - a waste of time and money. A false and commercial festival, devoutly to be ignored.
Ebenezer Scrroge
2014 is almost gone and American society is an even bigger mess than last year.
The religious holiday of Christmas appears to have no meaning to the tens of millions of crazy shoppers roaming the American malls.
In 2012 I was dragged against my will to a local Walmart on Thanksgiving night and viewed some of the insanity first hand. These people are fucking nuts. Never again.
Just look at movies from the 1930s or 40s to see the massive shift in American society. Back then little Johnny would get a baseball bat under the tree. Little Suzie would get a doll. A simple Christmas. The children and the nuclear family were happy and all was well.
Today we have massive divorce rates, violence, everyone in debt to buy useless crap and near-illiterate adults and children greedy for worthless material goods.
Scrooge was correct in calling Christmas a false and commercial festival. Every year the orgy of spending and increased debt to buy plastic Asian made crap gets worse.
2012 was my last year in the malls and the spending is over. I refuse any longer to join in this feeding frenzy of fools. I think I will go to church instead. , , , , to church, after I take Scrooge out and buy him a few drinks to thank him for his advice.
