Panetta - US needs "advanced notice" of terrorism

Bullshit Alert!
Panetta: 'Advance notice' of terrorism is needed for U.S. 'to be able to move quickly'
  • The terrorist attacks in Libya went on for hours and hours with Americans on the ground begging for help.
  • For months the Ambassador requested more security.  What he got was his security team removed from Libya leaving him nearly defenseless.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta lied to the press and claimed U.S. forces were deployed as quickly as possible after terrorists attacked the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11 -- but the attack "was largely over the by time we could respond."

"The fundamental fact is this -- that in order for us to be able to move quickly, we have to have some advanced notice that something is going to happen and, in this case, we didn't have that."

Panetta made the comments as reporters questioned him on a flight to Perth, Australia.

"You know, one of the things that we are doing right now is we are involved in an assessment between DOD and the State Department to look at the embassies in that region and what additional steps need to be taken in order to ensure the security of our embassies reports CNS News.

"So, you know, we do need to look at how we can (a) improve the security and (2) be able to effectively respond if there are any threats.

"With regards to Benghazi itself, I think it's been pointed out, we moved very quickly to deploy the forces that we thought were important to deal with the threats in the region. We deployed those forces as quickly as we could, but the problem with Benghazi itself was that the events there were happening on a rapid pace and that attack was largely over by the time we could respond."

Panetta noted that the U.S. has "so many bases in the area," including Sigonella and Rota.

(Translation  -  Wait right here.  We have lots of bases close to the attack, but they could not respond??????  Pure 100% Bullshit.)

But, he added, "The fundamental fact is this -- that in order for us to be able to move quickly, we have to have some advanced notice that something is going to happen and, in this case, we didn't have that.

"When we were informed, the attack was already happening. And to be able to, you know, to respond quickly while an attack was going on just made it very difficult to be able to move as quickly as we would have wanted."

Attacked and burning for hours and hours, but there was "no time" to respond.

Clinton will taste wine instead of testifying before Congress.

Clinton to the American people:  "Fuck You."
  • Comrade Hillary will be at a wine tasting party with friends in Australia and "unavailable" to testify under oath before Congress about what she knew about Libya.
  • The Secretary of State thinks partying is more important than dead Americans.
  • And the cover-up goes on and on.

Hillary Clinton's visit to Australia on Wednesday and Thursday have been revealed, but it is understood she will visit close friends, one whom is connected to the Carnegie Mellon University.

It also believed that:

The 150-strong entourage is likely to visit Penfolds' Magill Estate for a wine tasting session.

The entourage has booked more than 100 rooms over several floors at the Intercontinental Hotel on North Tce.

Heavy traffic restrictions are likely from late Wednesday ahead of her anticipated arrival that night.
Her entourage will leave Adelaide on Friday morning.

While Comrade Clinton will be protected at close quarters by her own US Secret Service detail, dozens of AFP protection officers and STAR Group officers will be involved in protecting her motorcade and any venues she visits.    (The Australian)
