7th-grader forced to cover up his ‘Star Wars’ T-shirt

Retard Alert!

- - - Recent stories show pansy Leftist educators are frightened to death of everything from pop tarts in the shape of a gun to dodgeball to Star Wars shirts.

(Washington Times)  -  A seventh-grade student in Rosenberg, Texas, says school administrators forced him to cover up his “Star Wars” T-shirt because it depicted a weapon.
Joe Southern told a local ABC affiliate that his son, Colton, wore a shirt depicting the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” logo and an image of a Storm Trooper holding a weapon. He said his son had worn the shirt to class at George Junior High School several times, but on Thursday administrators took issue with the T-shirt.
School officials told Colton that the shirt was banned because it has an image of a gun, or a picture of what in the movie is a weapon.
Mr. Southern said the ban on his son’s “Star Wars” T-shirt was “political correctness run amok,” ABC reported.
“You’re talking about a ‘Star Wars’ T-shirt, a week before the biggest movie of the year comes out. It has nothing to do with guns or making a stand. It’s just a ‘Star Wars’ shirt,” Mr. Southern said.
A spokesperson for the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District said the district’s policy handbook spells out potential violations of dress codes and that list includes “symbols oriented toward violence.”
Administrators told ABC that they did not force Colton to change clothes or give him in-school suspension, although they could have. Instead, they said they only asked Colton to zip up his jacket.
But Mr. Southern said the political correctness has gone too far and amount to a violation of First Amendment rights. He argues that the weapon depicted, just like the character holding it, is fictional and that any implication that his son would wish to incite violence is false.
