Bobby Jindal refuses to implement Obamacare

Governor Bobby Jindal refuses to kiss Obama's ass.

At Last a Republican with Testicles fully attached
  • Bobby Jindal refuses to implement Socialist Obamacare.
  • In other news, the remaining GOP Governors are hiding in deep caves hoping that no one will ask them any hard questions.

A confused Supreme Court upheld Comrade Barack Obama's health care law, but Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a possible Republican vice presidential contender who has refused to establish a federally mandated health care exchange in his state, said Friday that he will continue to ignore it.

"We're not going to start implementing Obamacare," Jindal said during a conference call with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell. "We're committed to working to elect Gov. Romney to repeal Obamacare."

"Here in Louisiana we have not applied for the grants, we have not accepted many of these dollars, we're not implementing the exchanges," Jindal said. "We don't think it makes any sense to implement Obamacare in Louisiana. We're going to do what we can to fight it."

Under the Affordable Care Act, states must set up a health insurance exchange program by Jan. 1, 2014, and will receive grants from the federal government to implement it. Several Republican governors, including both Jindal and McDonnell, have put off setting up the exchanges in the hope that the law would be repealed or struck down by the court.

Now that the law has been upheld, Jindal said he won't change course and is looking to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to lead the repeal effort if he takes office in 2013.     (Yahoo News)

China's Police get Gatling Guns

This baby is perfect for home defense or counter-revolutionary crowd control.

Communism in Action
The Chinese ruling Elite are frightened of the many riots taking place all over the nation.
  • Spending for internal security is higher than for the military.

While the world bites its nails over China’s military growth, China itself has more internal concerns. 2012 marks the second year since national spending on “public security” has surpassed that of the military. This year’s budget for jails, courts, police and various security and para-military forces is 701.8 billion yuan (US$110 bn), an 11.5% increase from 2011. By contrast, military spending went up 11.2% to 670 billion yuan (US$105 bn) reports Infowars News.

Disaster relief and border patrol are just part of public security’s purview. Police and para-military are often called in to control “mass incidents,” public gatherings and protests. Armed police were dispatched to Lhasa after two monks self-immolated on May 27. Others have gone to the scene of riots in Zhongshan and Zuotan, Guangdong.

The star of this year’s China Police Expo at the Beijing International Convention Center was a 7.62 mm Gatling machine gun built by the Chongqing Jianshe Industry Group (pictured above). It can fire anywhere from 2500 to 6000 rounds per minute.

To some Chinese netizens, it’s a terrifying icon of public security. “This is a f***ing policeman’s machine gun,” writes the blog Fantastic Record. Weibo user WildhouseNEWS asks, “Who are the police going to mow down with this gun? The American imperialists or the Japanese devils? Who are they selling this thing to?”     (Infowars.com)

Texas Students Hack Government Spy Drone

"Parsons was Winston's fellow employee at the Ministry of Truth. He was a fattish but active man of paralyzing stupidity, a mass of imbecile enthusiasms-one of those completely unquestioning, devoted drudges on whom, more even than on the thought police, the stability of the Party depended."
.
George Orwell, 1984, Book 1, Chapter 2

1984  -  If students can hack a drone what about a real enemy?
  • Both political parties are in a mad rush to put 30,000 Big Brother military drones in the air over the United States.
  • Republicans and Democrats ignore the Bill of Rights in order to created a "safe" nation under the watchful eyes of the Washington Elite.

There are a lot of cool things you can do with $1,000, but scientists at an Austin, Texas college have come across one that is often overlooked: for less than a grand, how’d you like to hijack a US government drone?

A group of researchers led by Professor Todd Humphreys from the University of Texas at Austin Radionavigation Laboratory recently succeeded in raising the eyebrows of the US government. With just around $1,000 in parts, Humphreys’ team took control of an unmanned aerial vehicle operated by the US Department of Homeland Security reports RT News.

Constitutional Federalist Senator Rand Paul:   Paul wants military drones to need search warrants, but politicians of both parties refuse to back his bill.

After being challenged by his lab, the DHS dared Humphreys’ crew to hack into their drone and take command. Much to their chagrin, they did exactly that.

Humphrey tells Fox News that for a few hundreds dollar his team was able to “spoof” the GPS system on board the DHS drone, a technique that involves mimicking the actual signals sent to the global positioning device and then eventually tricking the target into following a new set of commands. And, for just $1,000, Humphreys says the spoofer his team assembled was the most advanced one ever built.

“Spoofing a GPS receiver on a UAV is just another way of hijacking a plane,” Humphreys tells Fox. The real danger here, however, is that the government is currently considering plans that will allow local law enforcement agencies and other organizations from coast-to-coast to control drones of their own in America’s airspace.

“In five or ten years you have 30,000 drones in the airspace,” he tells Fox News. “Each one of these could be a potential missile used against us.”     (RT News USA)

The Big Brother Insect Spy Drone.
.
Researchers have already developed drones with parts mimicking bug eyes, bat ears and sensitive “bee-like” hairs. The technology is being developed to serve as undetectable surveillance tools.
.
These miniature drones, known as micro air vehicles (MAVs) have been in development in recent years and some have already been shown to the public. They’ll have the ability to record, photograph and in some cases, attack. The drones are said to still be in development, however they still face some issues. The scientists and engineers still need to work out limits such as maneuverability and navigation in certain environmental conditions.
.
With the ability to go places military personnel cannot all while being virtually undetected, researchers are aiming for serious advancement in intelligence collection.   (Techyville.com)

Al-Qaeda gains ground in Africa

Radical Islamists Gain Ground.
Continued insecurity in northern Mali holds grave consequences for west Africa.

Islamists Attack  -  The "flag had been taken down and been replaced by the flag of the Islamists.''

Al-Qaeda-linked fighters have taken control of the headquarters of the local separatist rebels in the north Mali town of Gao after a bloody battle that has killed at least 20 people, residents said.

The tenuous truce between two of the rebel groups controlling northern Mali was shattered, as the al-Qaeda linked faction bent on creating an Islamic state fought its way into the buildings used by a secular rebel group reports Aljazeera News.

The latter was forced to retreat and one of their leaders was airlifted abroad after being shot in the leg.
.
Hamadada Toure, a local resident, said that he had cowered inside his home when the clashes started when fighters belonging to the Islamic faction known as the Movement of Oneness and Jihad (MUJAO), parked a car loaded with weapons 50 meters from the headquarters of the secular rebel group, the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (NMLA).

The two are among the armed groups that seized control of the northern half of Mali, an area the size of France, earlier this year.

The two groups fell out earlier this month because MUJAO and another Islamic faction want to impose Islamic law in northern Mali, while the NMLA wants to create a secular country. Last week, an unwed couple in Gao were publicly lashed.

When he emerged from his house, he found that the balance of power in the town had shifted.

"I saw five dead NMLA fighters whose bodies had been dumped on the ground near the governor's building in Gao, the headquarters of the NMLA,'' Toure said by telephone around 30 minutes after the fighting had stopped.

"In all the buildings that the NMLA had controlled, their flag had been taken down and been replaced by the flag of the Islamists.''

At least two Islamist factions emerged, including MUJAO, which seized parts of Gao, and Ansar Dine, which based itself in Timbuktu. Both Islamist groups are believed to have links to al-Qaeda and analysts say their open existence in northern Mali poses a grave security risk not just for Mali, but for the region.     (Aljazeera.com)

Obamacare and the Court

The Federalist Papers #78
"The interpretation of the laws is the proper and peculiar province of the courts. A constitution is, in fact, and must be regarded by the judges, as a fundamental law. It therefore belongs to them to ascertain its meaning, as well as the meaning of any particular act proceeding from the legislative body." - - - - Alexander Hamilton

For good or ill, Obamacare is now a POLITICAL decision that must be resolved by Congress
  • Now the spotlight is on a Big Government Republican Party that has never abolished or cut spending on one single meaningful government program.

By Gary;

Another day in American politics.  Conservatives are screaming at the "stupid" Supreme Court for not coming to the right decision on Obamacare.

Never mind that for years so-called "Conservatives" have screamed at the Court for judicial activism in imposing their will on Congress.  Now Conservatives complain that the Court needs judicial activism to impose their will on Congress.

So what else is new?  Welcome to the insane world of American politics where the politicians and common people believe in nothing but the politics of the moment.

Chief Justice John Roberts:
'Congress had the power to impose the exaction in Section 5000A under the taxing power, and that Section 5000A need not be read to do more than impose a tax. This is sufficient to sustain it. '

I disagree with the Court on Obamacare, but I come from a Constitutional Federalist point of view that represents at best perhaps 10% of the American people.

BOTTOM  LINE
The so-called "Conservatives" bitching at the Court today have had no problem at all in voting to massively expand and fund the centralized power of a Big Government state.  Those Republicans opposing Obamacare have voted to grow and fund everything from Medicare expansion to Federal intrusion into local school classrooms to FDA rules on what drugs a dying cancer patient will be allowed to take.

Simply the Constitution and Bill of Rights has no meaning to politicians to either party.

Obama Leftists shut down Conservative Blogger

The Hugo Chavez-ization of America.
Leftist thug Democrats are attacking Conservatives Bloggers to get them removed.  They are also using public records to threaten those who donate money to Conservative causes.

Internet Freedom Under Attack  -  Leftist thugs demand the anti-Obama site be taken down
  • America is becoming a Hugo Chavez Thug State where you live in fear to speak your mind.
  • Here is the site that Leftists say you are not allowed to view:  www.homelandsecurityus.com.

Internet freedom of speech and of the press is under attack all over the world.  The Power Elites want to control what you are allowed to see and hear so you will remain ignorant and respectful to your betters.

A political website that contained stinging criticism of the Obama administration and its handling of the Fast and Furious scandal was ordered to be shut down by the Obama campaign’s ‘Truth Team’, according to private investigator Douglas Hagmann, who was told by ISP GoDaddy his site contained information that was “maliciously harmful to individuals in the government,” reports Infowars.

Hagmann, CEO of Hagmann Investigative Services, Inc., a private investigative agency serving a roster of Fortune 500 clients, was given 48 hours by GoDaddy to find a new home for his website before it was deleted.

Hagmann was told the reason for the shut down was because the website featured “morally objectionable” material. After GoDaddy refused to identify the complainant, only saying that it was not “any official government agency,” further investigation by Hagmann revealed that the order came from a group tied to Obama campaign headquarters.

Speaking with the chief investigator in the GoDaddy Abuse division, Hagmann discovered, “Ultimately it was found that the complaint originated ostensibly with a group associated with the campaign to re-elect Barack Hussein Obama.”

Turning to his contacts within government, Hagmann then spoke with another source who confirmed that the ‘Obama Truth Team’ was responsible for the shut down order.

“I’m laying this right on the doorstep of the Obama Truth Team,” said Hagmann.

The ‘Obama Truth Team’ is an outreach of the Obama 2012 re-election campaign that urges supporters to “help fight back against the attacks on President Obama and his record” by reporting supposed misrepresentations and lies. However, as ABC News reported, the ‘Truth Team’ has mischaracterized legitimate criticism as smears in an effort to chill dissent against Obama. It has also been caught fibbing on a number of other occasions.

HITLER: "Stick this up your Axis"

This novelty Hitler pin cushion was sold in the
U.S. during the 1940s for 69 cents.

You know it would not be a day on the Internet without a Hitler story of some kind.  Enjoy.
.
As the Nazi war machine tore through Europe, there was still one way Americans could give Hitler the needle back home... thanks to a novelty pin cushion.

With his hands between his knees and bent forward, this 4.5in high figurine from the early 1940s saw the Fuhrer's buttocks covered in a brown tufted fabric - a perfect place to 'stick it' to his Axis of Evil.

And President Roosevelt is said to have found it so funny that he had one on his desk, according to Johnson Smith & Co's Mammoth Catalog Of 5,000 Novelties.
.

The novelty mail order company's blurb reads: 'It's a safe place to store pins and needles... and will probably be the only useful thing Adolf Shickelgruber [his father's original surname] did.'

During the war, they could be bought for 69 cents, from Johnson & Co - or $1.49 from the Stick A Pin In Hitler Club - but some are now worth hundreds of dollars.

Chinese crackdown on Bloggers

A Communist Chinese Internet Crackdown.
Big Government internet controls and censorship - coming soon to a nation near you!  But don't worry.  It's for your own good you know.

Chinese Blogger:  “I’m not afraid of jail. I’m afraid of torture.”
  • The Chinese government is frightened to death of the internet and the freedom of information revolution that it brings to the world.
  • The U.S. and other Western nations should encourage China to adopt more internet freedom, but we are busy ourselves adopting anti-freedom internet controls.

Internet censorship.  A Communist dictatorship in action.

China has more than 500 million Internet users, according to the government’s China Internet Network Information Center. There are also some 250 million users of the Twitter-like microblogging sites known collectively as weibo.

The most popular of the microblogging sites, Sina Weibo, reported that in Chinese New Year, the number of tweets hit a new record, with 32,312 messages sent per second reports the Washington Post.
.
Microblogs exploded here because of the ability to convey a lot of information in a quick burst. Like with Twitter, there’s a 140-character limit. But in Chinese, where each character is a separate word, 140 characters is enough for a lengthy discourse.

The microblogs have forced the government to become more attuned to public opinion, and has obliterated the Communist Party’s traditional control over the flow of information. More and more young Netizens say they get their news from weibo than from state-controlled television broadcasts or print newspapers towing the Party line.

“Microblogging is a starting point of calling on the government to be more accountable,” said Hu Yong, a professor at Peking University’s journalism school.

These blogger-activists are far from revolutionary. Like the incoming leaders , many of them are children of Communist Party officials. They are patriots who love China, but want its institutions to work better and on behalf of the people. They take on corrupt corporations as much as the government. They are just as concerned about kidnapped children and AIDS victims as voting rights and free elections.

The best known among them, like scholar Yu Jianrong, whose microblog tries to connect begging street children with their parents, have more than a million followers. And they must contend with ever-changing censorship rules. Many of the most popular microbloggers have had their accounts temporarily suspended or shut down entirely, after the government launched a crackdown this year on Internet “rumors,” following aggressive reporting on the case of ousted Politburo member Bo Xilai.

They also risk death threats and harassment to raise civic awareness, bring powerful people to book and give a voice to the voiceless.

“If I speak in a high-profile way, it’s because I love this country,” said Wang Xiaoshan, 45, a well-known journalist and active microblogger who has led a boycott campaign against a large dairy company called Mengniu, at the center of several recent food safety scandals.

Wang said he worries about his safety, and he recently spent a week in Hong Kong and three days in Macau because he said he was informed of a credible threat to silence him. His biggest fear, he said, was being arrested and sent to Inner Mongolia, where the company he is challenging is located. “I know how this country works,” he said. “I’m not afraid of jail. I’m afraid of torture.”

But he returned to China and to his writing. “I’ve always wanted to be a hero, ever since I was a child,” he said. “I think I’m a hero now.”      (Washington Post)

Will American Businesses Change China?
American businesses have poured into the Communist dictatorship.
.
By just being there those businesses have effectively abolished Communism.  The Communist Party of Chairman Mao has evolved into a Benito Mussolini style Fascist Party.  Yes there is dictatorship.  But from the Party Chairman down to the lowly worker at Starbucks everyone is thinking BUSINESS and how to make lots and lots of money.
.
In other words, the traditional pro-business China of the authoritarian Emperors has returned.

Taxes doubled by Leftist Japan

Japan has a Yen for government spending.
Big Govenment politicians from all parties in Japan suck the
workers dry to fund spending programs.

A 100% Tax Increase  -  Leftist Big Government is the same the world over
  • Tax and spend and tax and spent and tax and spend.

Yoshihiko Noda, Japan's prime minister, has won initial approval for his signature tax-increase plan, but enough fellow party members voted no to threaten a split, which could trigger an early election.

The plan to double the sales tax to 10 per cent over three years was approved by the lower house on Tuesday and is seen as a first step towards curbing Japan's snowballing public debt, which already exceeds two years' worth of its economic output, a record for an industrialised nation reports Aljazeera News.

A compromise struck with the opposition in mid-June allowed Noda to break months of policy gridlock and secure the plan's comfortable passage in parliament by 363 to 96 votes.
.

But 57 legislators from Noda's Democratic Party of Japan voted against the bill.

If 54 or more of them leave the party as a result, the Democrats would lose their majority in the more powerful lower house, raising the prospect of an election well before the next one is due by mid-2013.

Dissenting voice

Ichiro Ozawa, a powerful Democrat, was quoted by another politician as saying he would not quit after voting against the tax and would instead work to revive the party.

Ozawa, 70, is credited for masterminding the party's 2009 election triumph, but argued the tax increase is a departure from a party platform that promised to curb the powerful bureaucracy and cut wasteful spending before raising taxes.

Ozawa had previously suggested he could leave and form a new party with his followers.

Now military drones are going to the Caribbean

Police State  -  The U.S. is now sending military drones into the Caribbean as well as South America
  • Despite budget cuts in other areas, Customs and Border Protection has requested $5.8 million to push its drone operations farther into the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico.
  • Thousands of drones are being deployed at home and abroad for your "protection".  The Constitution and Bill of Rights has no meaning.
  • FEAR  -  This time the government beats the drum of fear of drugs to get funding for a police state from a moronic American people who cannot drag themselves away from cable TV or Twitter.

After quietly testing Predator drones over the Bahamas for more than 18 months, the Department of Homeland Security plans to expand the unmanned surveillance flights into the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico to fight drug smuggling, according to U.S. officials.

The Pentagon already pushing into South America.  See our srticle:  THE FEDERALIST - "Pentagon to send drones to Latin America."

The move would dramatically increase U.S. drone flights in the Western Hemisphere, more than doubling the number of square miles now covered by the department’s fleet of nine surveillance drones, which are used primarily on the northern and southwestern U.S. borders.

A new control station will arrive this month in Corpus Christi, Texas, allowing Predators based there to cover more of the Gulf of Mexico. An additional drone will be delivered this year to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s base in Cocoa Beach, Fla., for operations in the Caribbean.

The Federal Aviation Administration already has approved a flight path for the drones to fly more than 1,000 miles to the Mona Passage, the strait between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

"There is a lot more going on in the deep Caribbean, and we would like to know more," said a law enforcement official familiar with the program who was not authorized to speak publicly. The official said drones may be based temporarily at airfields in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

The Predator B is best known as the drone used by the CIA to find and kill al-Qaida terrorists in Pakistan and Yemen. An unarmed version patrols the U.S. borders searching known overland smuggling routes.    (Boston Herald)

Drones - Drones - Drones.
The United States becomes the big stick policeman of the world.  With military drones the U.S. is setting up a military backed Big Brother spy and attack system all over Latin America.

Feds refuse to say how many Americans they've spied on

Death of a Republic  -  The National Security Agency refuses to tell Congress how many Americans they spy on
  • The bi-partisan rape of the Bill of Rights.
  • The 4th Amendment no longer exists.
  • Both political parties join in flushing the Constitution down the toilet.

Responding to a request made recently by two leading lawmakers in Congress, the NSA has sent a letter saying that they refuse to reveal the number of Americans that they have spied on through provisions made in 2008 to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a legislation that allows the government to go through correspondence that they believe is being sent overseas reports RT News.

The reasoning, explains the NSA, is that informing Americans about any spying they may have been subjected to would be damaging to personal privacy.

Wow.  The Bullshit meter went off the scale on that lie.

Under the last batch of amendments tagged onto FISA, the US government is given the power to pry into email, phone logs and other modes of communication that cross international borders — all in the name of national security, of course. Since little is known about how they use this act, however, Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Mark Udall (D-CO) appealed to the NSA for an answer.

In a letter to the Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community sent last month, Senators Wyden and Udall ask, “how many people inside the United States have had their communications collected or reviewed under the authorities granted by section 702” of the FISA Amendment Act (FAA).

In a response dated June 15 and made available to Wired, the Inspector General dismisses their request with the explanation that a “review of the sort suggested would itself violate the privacy of US persons.” Additionally, Inspector General I. Charles McCullough says that responding to the request would be “beyond the capacity” of the Office of the NSA’s Inspector General, George Ellard, and that “dedicating sufficient additional resources would likely impede the NSA’s mission.”
.
All that Senator Udall and I are asking for is a ballpark estimate of how many Americans have been monitored under this law, and it is disappointing that the Inspectors General cannot provide it,” Sen. Wyden tells Wired’s Danger Room this week. “If no one will even estimate how many Americans have had their communications collected under this law then it is all the more important that Congress act to close the ‘back door searches’ loophole, to keep the government from searching for Americans’ phone calls and emails without a warrant.”

FORKGATE - The insanity of the Imperial Presidency

The Imperial Presidency  -  Mexican-Americans are not allowed to eat with forks in the presence of the great Caesar Obama
  • Forks are collected by the Secret Service to protect our Lord and Master.
  • The chicken is pre-cut in the kitchen so the so-called possibly "disloyal" Mexican-Americans will not tell Obama to fork himself.
  • After being insulted, the insane Hispanic audience then gets on their knees and worships the Great One.

The Fucking Imperial Presidency.
.
It sickens me how far this nation has fallen from a society where all men are created equal.  Now Presidents live in an Imperial Security Bubble and have a lifestyle where everyone caters to his every whim and kisses his ass 24-7.

We have become a virtual Monarchy, and no one is allowed to question the system.

Now American citizens of Latino heritage are not even allowed to have a fork while eating in the Royal Presence.
.
“It’s very important that you use your utensils as soon as possible,” National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials board member Raquel Regalado told about 1000 delegates at the group’s annual conference.
.
Regalado hurried the diners to finish up their salads and pre-cut chicken breasts, saying that the Secret Service required that there be no knives at the tables and that the forks be rounded up before Obama entered the room reports Politico.

“As you know, we’re having another speaker and there is some Secret Service involved. So there’s a reason why there’s no knives at your table and the forks will be collected. ... And I’m not joking,” Regalado told the audience in a ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. “So, like the good Hispanic mother I’m here to tell you to please, eat your lunch.”

A Secret Service spokesman confirmed that the agency made the request, but said such requirements are common at large events where the president speaks at about the same time people are dining.
.
There are a wide variety of breakfasts, lunches and dinners the president attends where diners still have the full complement of silverware as Obama speaks.

Beware of the media and Egypt

Egypt's first free election in 8,000 years.
Thousands of people took to Tahrir Square in Cairo to defend the
country's first free presidential election.

Beware of Sean Hannity  -  Talk shows on both the left and the right will beat on Egypt to get higher Nielsen ratings.
  • Always think for yourself.
  • Radio and TV shows need "evil" bad guys to beat on everyday to keep the ratings up.  The Muslim Brotherhood will now be the latest Nielsen ratings rich target.
  • The new President of Egypt says the #1 foreign policy priority is a "strategic partnership" with the US, with the aim of gaining access to international credit markets.

Watch out everyone.  It is the invasion of Elite Media talking heads.

To build ratings the media needs "bad guys".  The Muslim Brotherhood has become that bad guy and the media looks forward to making millions beating the drum of FEAR.

To bottom line it, we should be happy for the people of Egypt in their first free election.  I am not too worried about Egypt:

  • The new President received his Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Southern California in 1982.
  • He was also an Assistant Professor at California State University, Northridge.
  • The U.S. has no trouble being allies with Islamist Turkey and Islamist Saudi Arabia.  The same should be true with Egypt.

For ratings the elite media will beat the drum of FEAR.  But the new President was educated and worked in the United States.  If the US State Department can't work with someone with those strong American ties then they should all be fired.

But more to the point, it is none our business what other countries peacefully do within their own borders.
Think for Yourself.
Beware of Sean Hannity and other
Nielsen ratings driven shows as they
beat on Egypt to make money.
.
Some sixteen months after the fall of his predecessor Hosni Mubarak, official election results gave Mohamed Morsi 51.7% of the vote against 48.3% for his rival, Ahmed Shafiq, a former prime minister and general under the military dictator Mubarak.

It is the first time that Egypt has been headed by an Islamist in the modern era, and the first time that a freely elected civilian has come to power in the country.

When the final announcement came – after a dense 45-minute preamble from the election chief, Farouk Sultan – it instantly rippled through Tahrir Square, setting off fireworks, flag-waving and chants of "Allahu Akbar".

"The revolution was victorious – this feeling cannot be described," said Mahmoud Abdallah. "If Shafik had won, the past year would have been for nothing. Now we need to fight for the constitution and parliament. Political forces have united now against the anti-revolutionaries and we will win no matter how strong they are."
.
The 61-year-old president studied and taught at a university in California before returning to Egypt to enter politics, winning election as MP in 2000. He spent months in prison during the Mubarak regime before rising to become head of the Muslim Brotherhood's political wing, the Freedom and Justice party, in 2011, after Mubarak's fall.

He owes his rise in the Brotherhood to his allegiance to its current deputy head, Khairat al-Shater, who remains the most powerful figure in the movement. He told the Wall Street Journal on Friday that its foreign policy priority was a "strategic partnership" with the US, with the aim of gaining access to international credit markets and global legitimacy.

Morsi will inherit an office with powers that have been sharply curtailed last week by the military junta, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (Scaf), which dissolved parliament and consolidated its own grip on national security policy.    (UK Guardian)

VIEDO  -  The moment the winner of Egypt's presidential election was announced, cheers erupted in Cairo's Tahrir Square, where supporters of Mohamed Morsi, the victorious Muslim Brotherhood candidate have been gathered for days.

Sunday Concert - The Platters

For a change of pace this summer we will be doing a Sunday Concert series.  American music from all eras is one of the great gifts we have given to the world.

The Platters were one of the most successful vocal groups of the early rock and roll era. Their distinctive sound was a bridge between the pre-rock Tin Pan Alley tradition and the burgeoning new genre. The act went through several personnel changes, with the most successful incarnation comprising lead tenor Tony Williams, David Lynch, Paul Robi, Herb Reed, and Zola Taylor. The group had 40 charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart between 1955 and 1967, including four # 1 hits.

Police help Drug Cartels execute victims

Mexican Police Filmed Helping Drug Cartels Kill.

The Insane War on Drugs  -  Corrupted by drug money Mexican police are on film rounding up victims for the Cartels to execute.
  • Big Government continues to build a centralized Police State to "protect" us from the very criminal gangs that their policies created.

Five heavily armed police officers have been caught on camera barging into a hotel in western Mexico before dawn and marching out with three handcuffed men in underwear.
.
The footage may seem unremarkable at a glance, but the officers weren't making arrests.  Prosecutors say they were taking orders from criminals - just hours after the three were seized, they were found asphyxiated and beaten to death reports the UK Daily Mail.

While the kidnapping and murder occurred in January, and the faces of several officers were clearly seen on the videos, the officers were not detained until June 6, when soldiers and state police raided a local police station.

They still have not been formally charged with any crime.

'It took time to obtain the video tapes, to do the investigation, and to get the arrest warrants,' said Jalisco state prosecutor's spokesman Lino Gonzalez.

'We didn't have the information.'

In any case, the release of the dramatic images comes less than three weeks before national and state elections in which security is a major issue.     (UK Daily Mail)
