Black Gorilla Lives Matter

Shooting Black Gorillas Represents White Privilege

(Breitbart London)  -  Do you feel strongly about Harambe, the hapless gorilla executed by Cincinnati zoo to protect the life of the four-year old child Isaiah whose stupid, irresponsible parents allowed him to crawl into the gorilla’s pen?
Well I do too. Especially when you realise – at least by some accounts – that the gorilla was actually trying to protect the child not kill it.
But I don’t think in the outrage stakes any of us can quite compete with the angry black people in social media forums who have been blaming the incident on entrenched white privilege.

Trump blasts 'loser' Bill Kristol for promising a 'spoiler' independent candidate

Asshole Alert!

  • I have never liked neocon warmonger and all around asshole Bill Kristol.  This bastard is still pushing for a third party run that would elect Hillary.
  • One has to wonder which part of Trump's platform is so objectionable to Conservatives:  controlling the border, tax cuts, a balanced budget or building the military?
  • So I guess since the neocons object to Trump's platform then by process of elimination they must approve of the Democrat platform.

(Business Insider)  -  Donald Trump lashed out at conservative political analyst Bill Kristol on Twitter Sunday after Kristol hinted the businessman could face competition from an independent candidate in November.
"Just a heads up over this holiday weekend," Kristol said on Twitter. "There will be an independent candidate--an impressive one, with a strong team and a real chance."
The presumptive Republican nominee wasted no time firing back at Kristol:

Muslim board advises allowing wife beatings

(Washington Examiner)  -  Husbands should "lightly beat" their wives who refuse sex or decline to dress as their husband's wish, according to a set of draft legislative recommendations from a Pakistani constitutional body.
The 163-page document laying out extensive and detailed guidelines for what Pakistani women may and may not do — and how their husbands may enforce the rules — was written by the Council of Islamic Ideology, which is an influential body that makes recommendations to the parliament regarding Islamic laws.
The document also lays out other scenarios under which husbands may inflict "limited beatings" on their wives: If they do not bathe after intercourse or during menstruation, wear a hijab, of if they interact with strangers, speak loudly enough so the neighbors can hear or give away money without the consent of their spouse.

The beatings, however, should not be so harsh as to break any woman's bones, cut her skin or leave any marks, the council's leader Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani has said.
The document is a response by the 20-member council to a progressive, gender-equality bill pushed by Pakistan's Punjab province that sought to give women more rights. Dubbing the bill "un-Islamic," the council drafted its own set of recommendations laying out extensive restrictions on women while granting them a handful of rights.
It says women should be allowed to inherit property and shouldn't be forced into arranged marriages or subjected to acid attacks or honor killings. But under the proposal, they would be required to breastfeed their children for two years and couldn't use contraception without their husband's permission.
Currently in draft form, the draft bill is awaiting final approval by the council before being presented to the provincial legislature.

Happy Decoration Day (Memorial Day)

Least We Forget Where it Started

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces.

The holiday, which is observed every year on the last Monday of May, originated as Decoration Day after the American Civil War in 1868, when the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization of Union veterans founded in Decatur, Illinois, established it as a time for the nation to decorate the graves of the Union war dead with flowers.

By the 20th century, competing Union and Confederate holiday traditions, celebrated on different days, had merged, and Memorial Day eventually extended to honor all Americans who died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.
The first widely publicized observance of a Memorial Day-type observance after the Civil War was in Charleston, South Carolina, on May 1, 1865. During the war, Union soldiers who were prisoners of war had been held at the Hampton Park Race Course in Charleston; at least 257 Union prisoners died there and were hastily buried in unmarked graves.
Together with teachers and missionaries, black residents of Charleston organized a May Day ceremony in 1865, which was covered by the New York Tribune and other national papers. The freedmen cleaned up and landscaped the burial ground, building an enclosure and an arch labeled "Martyrs of the Race Course". Nearly 10,000 people, mostly freedmen, gathered on May 1 to commemorate the war dead. Involved were about 3,000 school children, newly enrolled in freedmen's schools, as well as mutual aid societies, Union troops, black ministers and white northern missionaries. Most brought flowers to lay on the burial field.
David W. Blight described the day:
This was the first Memorial Day. African Americans invented Memorial Day in Charleston, South Carolina. What you have there is black Americans recently freed from slavery announcing to the world with their flowers, their feet, and their songs what the war had been about. What they basically were creating was the Independence Day of a Second American Revolution.

About 100,000 in U.S. now work for Chinese firms

AMC, now Chinese owned

The Road To Serfdom
  • Company by company we are selling off our wealth, natural resources and land to the Communist Chinese.
  • With every sale and "investment" Communist China gains influence and economic power inside the U.S.

(McClatchy News)  -  In the tiny North Carolina town of Tar Heel, the Smithfield Foods Packing Co., the world’s biggest slaughterhouse that often smells of pig manure, belongs to a giant Chinese meat-processing company.
Hundreds of movie theaters across the country are owned by the Kansas City-based AMC Theatres chain, which reports to China’s richest man.
And in Miami, a luxury condo tower called One Thousand Museum is rising over Biscayne Bay. Its contractor is a Chinese firm, the largest builder in the world’s most populous country.
In a presidential campaign focused on the loss of American jobs, a recent study shows how U.S. jobs are created or preserved under China’s investment boom in the United States.
China has spent more than $100 billion since 2000, buying or making significant investments in 1,900 companies. That flow is accelerating: In the first quarter of this year, Chinese firms had $30 billion in pending or completed deals, according to Stephen Orlins, head of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, a New York-based organization that researches the two countries’ ties.

The Chinese purchasers, many of them state-owned or with close government ties in Beijing, are responsible for almost 100,000 American jobs, according to a recent report by Orlins’ organization and the Rhodium Group, a New York company that provides research on global business trends to U.S. and foreign companies.
One of those jobs is held by Brad Meltzer, president of Plaza Construction Florida, which is building One Thousand Museum, set to open by next spring with a $49 million penthouse and condos starting at $5.7 million.
The Miami-based company’s parent group, Plaza Construction, is headquartered in New York. It’s owned by China Construction America of Jersey City, N.J., a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering LTD in Beijing. “That investment has offered us dynamic growth opportunities,” Meltzer told McClatchy.
Most purchases of American firms by Chinese or other foreign companies draw little, if any, attention from the U.S. government. But a small number raise such high national security concerns that they are vetted by a secretive multi-agency committee of six Cabinet secretaries and the U.S. attorney general.
The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), set up by President Gerald Ford in 1975 to safeguard the country, in recent years has focused increasingly on Chinese acquisitions.

The Chinese Communist Party is working with so-called "private"
Chinese companies to buy up companies all over the world.
The Shuanghui company purchased Smithfield food products.

The fact that Shuanghui is effectively controlled by the
Chinese government means that it presents a national security
threat to the United States.
The top executive at Shuanghui “is a high-ranking member
of the Chinese Communist Party,” Mr. Slane said, and he was
appointed to that job by the party. “If he does not do what they say,
hey will remove him or worse.”
See our article

Among the most high-profile deals, CFIUS in 2013 approved the Chinese purchase of Smithfield Foods, which has operations in 26 states and supplies ham and other pork products to the U.S. military.
Last year, it allowed the sale of the New York’s fabled Waldorf Astoria hotel, home to visiting American presidents and foreign dignitaries, to Anbang, one of China’s largest insurance companies.
However, CFIUS in 2012 rejected a Chinese firm’s purchase of an Oregon wind-farm complex because of its proximity to a major Navy training base. President Barack Obama upheld the decision after the Chinese company objected.
In February, 46 House Republicans led by Rep. Robert Pittenger of North Carolina wrote a letter asking CFIUS to conduct a “full and rigorous” review of the pending purchase of the Chicago Stock Exchange by Chongqing Casin Enterprise Group, a large Chinese real estate and infrastructure investment company. CFIUS is also expected to vet a $5.4 billion bid by Haier Group, which Scientific American named last year as one of China’s most innovative companies, to buy the appliance-division of General Electric, headquartered in Louisville, Ky.
“As China becomes more and more invested in the United States, it has a bigger and bigger stake in the success of the American economy, so that creates a shared interest,” said Chris Brewster, a Washington lawyer with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan who represents Chinese and other firms seeking to buy American companies. “At the same time, plainly these investments can present national security considerations for the United States.”
Chinese acquisitions now make up more than one-fifth of all foreign purchases or significant investments vetted by CFIUS. In 2013 and 2014, China moved ahead of all other countries for the first time, according to the committee’s required annual reports to Congress.  Read More . . . .
The Modern Serf
Workers will become "Serfs" in their own nations as foreign companies
and governments buy up land and businesses.

The Road to Serfdom Series
The world is moving toward a modern form of Neo-Serfdom where everyone works for the all-powerful State or businesses controlled by the State.  A world where individual property rights and freedom do not exist.

Freedom is slowly vanishing.  What happens when the major employers are owned by government backed investment groups, or your food comes from government owned farms, or your news is delivered by so-called "private" corporations that are in reality connected and interconnected to governments?

Sunday Concert - Jimmy Buffett Summer Kickoff

Kicking Off The Summer

As the ultimate Parrothead I can think of no better way to kick off the summer than with some Jimmy Buffett.

It is hard for me to remember a time when Jimmy was not in my life. Attending the concerts is alway a blast.  And yes it is true, we fans know every song by heart and sing along.

Jimmy's discography consists of 27 studio albums, 11 live albums and 67 singles. Buffett is known his unique style of music called "Gulf and Western", which combines elements of countryfolk rockpop, and Caribbean, with tropical lyrical themes.   (More)

Obama launches Muslim outreach office

---- An office to reach out to Muslims while American vets die from lack of treatment at VA hospitals.

(Washington Examiner)  -  President Obama is establishing a new position to coordinate outreach to the Muslim-American community, picking a former president of the Muslim Youth of North America to run it.
"A big part of this role is making sure the national conversation about these communities is not framed through a single lens, but covers the full range of issues that Muslims and other Americans face," Zaki Barzinji, who will work out of the White House Office of Public Engagement, told the Huffington Post.
Barzinji's new job deprives Gov. Terry McAuliffe, D-Va., of his director of intergovernmental affairs. Barzinji previously worked on McAuliffe's gubernatorial campaign.
"This appointment is a further extension of this Administration's commitment to America's tradition of religious pluralism," Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to the White House office of public engagement, told the Huffington Post.

Muslim wearing t-shirt saying 'I'm Muslim, don't panic' beaten by Muslims

You Just Can't Make This Shit Up

(London Daily Mail)  -  An asylum seeker who jokingly wore a T-shirt saying 'I'm Muslim, don't panic' was so savagely beaten by his fellow refugees that he had to be rushed to hospital.

The 23-year-old Iraqi had thought that his fellow Islamic asylum seekers would see the funny side, but instead they accused him of offending their religion and decided to teach him a painful lesson.

The man was attacked in the evening as he returned to his asylum seeker home in Berlin, Germany wearing the T-shirt which he had just bought.

He was allegedly confronted by three angry Muslims who ripped up the T-shirt and ran off after beating him.

Two of the alleged attackers, a 27-year-old from Syria and a 33-year-old from Lebanon, were later arrested on charges of aggravated GBH.

Police said a report would be prepared for prosecutors.

Multi-National Special Forces Invade Tampa, Florida

You are not Paranoid if they
really are after you

  • I find these Pentagon military drills inside cities all over America very disturbing.  But the bipartisan liars in Congress tell us it is all for our own good.  So what could possibly be wrong with them?
  • Special Note  -  Proving my point on the Military Industrial Complex, we see the special forces group meeting in Florida calling themselves not soldiers but an INDUSTRY.

(Daily Caller)  -  Special forces units from across the globe descended on Tampa, Florida Wednesday in a large-scale training exercise.
The special forces units conducted a mock rescue mission on a large yacht docked near the Tampa Riverwalk. The event was the featured spectacle of the Special Operations Forces Industry conference, which took place Monday through Wednesday of this week.
Operations began quietly enough, with a team impersonating opposition forces raiding the Starship yacht at 1:30 pm. Tampa’s citizens were likely none-the-wiser, that is until the show went into full swing with dozens of operators assaulting the ship via helicopter and speedboat — firing hundreds of blanks from their weapons all the while. The city’s Mayor Bob Buckhorn played the role of a captured hostage.
After the rescue team swept the ship and secured Buckhorn, they brought him aboard one of their rigid-hulled inflatable boats (RHIB). There, they allowed him to squeeze off a few rounds on a forward-mounted 50-caliber machine gun.
