Charmed Reunion: Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs bond at the opera

A Charmed Reunion Movie?

  • The fan base is rabid for shows like Charmed. My son checked into his London hotel only to find Charmed in reruns on TV. The same goes for Buffy and Angel
  • I am up for movie versions of all these shows. They have to be better than 80% of the crap Hollywood shoves at us.

(EW.com)  -  Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs ran into each other at the Sydney Opera House and seemed pretty darn happy about it. Which, you know, made us feel pretty great, too.
The Charmed costars were attending the opening of Bizet’s Carmen and were all smiles as they chatted on the red carpet and posed for photos with others.
Charmed aired for eight seasons on The WB, from 1998 until 2006, and starred Doherty, Combs, and Alyssa Milano as a trio of sister witches. Doherty’s character was killed off in the third season finale, and Rose McGowan assumed her place as the third sister for the rest of the series.

Combs, who currently has a recurring gig on Pretty Little Liars, recently told Us Weekly about rumblings of the cast reviving their characters in some way. “People keep talking about it. CBS has the rights to it,” she said. “I heard they tried to do a pilot a few years back. I know all the girls would like to do it, too.”
Milano addressed the situation on Twitter in March of this year. “#Charmed fans! Nothing has been confirmed. CBS is developing a reboot without the original cast. That’s all I know for sure,” she said. “With all the reunion shows it seems like #charmed would be a great choice since we have the most loyal and best fans ever. But I would imagine until CBS makes a decision on their reboot a true reunion type of show will not be happening due to CBS owning the rights.”
However, the last official news of CBS’s reboot was that it was in early stages of development… back in 2013. So don’t give up hope of that Halliwell reunion just yet.

Julian McMahon. Belthazor, Cole Turner’s demonic form, was portrayed by Michael Bailey Smith. McMahon played the energy ball-hurling baddie-turned-goodie-turned-baddie.
