Marxist Democrats Claim Children as Their Property

Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) president Stacy Davis Gates said on Monday that “all children belong to” the union.

At the City Club Chicago event, Gates bashed President Donald Trump for lessening the power of teachers’ unions, calling his education agenda a “relitigation” of the Civil War while complaining about the failing state of Chicago schools.

Quoting civil rights activist James Baldwin, Gates tells the crowd, “The children are always ours. Every single one of them, all over the globe.” Gates then mocks parents who would respond by saying “CTU thinks your children are its children.”

“Yes, we do,” Gates said. “We do.”

CTU did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Black Lives Matter Flag Flies at US Embassies

 

The US State Department sent out a letter this week approving displays of the Black Lives Matter flag this Tuesday on the Anniversary of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A source within the Biden State Department wishing to remain anonymous has shared with Human Events News a document that indicates that all U.S. “Diplomatic and Consular posts” are being encouraged to display shows of support for Black Lives Matter on Tuesday, May 25, the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death. 

The memo reads in part, “The Department supports the use of the term ‘Black Lives Matter’ in messaging content, speeches, and other diplomatic engagements with foreign audiences to advance racial equity and access to justice on May 25 and beyond (italics added) We encourage posts to focus on the need to eliminate systemic racism and its continued impact.”

The memo, which is in part a woke statement on social justice, part an apology for U.S. actions, and part an endorsement of all BLM materials, expressly encourages the display of the BLM flag or banner at U.S. facilities (except on the actual flagpole that holds the American flag).

(National File)  -  Democrat officials in Michigan ordered the entire floor to rise to their feet and remain standing for a “black national anthem” during Monday’s ceremony to confirm the votes of sixteen Democrat electors for Democrat presidential and vice-presidential hopefuls Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Attendees were ordered to “please remain standing for the National Anthem and the “black national anthem” by the Turner Sisters, Jeliah and Jemilah Turner.”

The official proceedings were then halted for a melancholy rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which was declared to be the “Negro National Anthem” by the National Association of Colored People in 1919. 

The United States government does officially recognize any “black national anthem,” as the only federally recognized national anthem is “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

It remains unclear what would have transpired if attendees had not dutifully risen for the “black national anthem,” as all present Democrat electors sprang to their feet for the song.

The Democrat run state of Oregon has opened applications for a coronavirus relief fund specifically for the “black community.”

The Oregon Cares Fund is a $62 million fund set aside from the federal CARES Act and is intended only for black individuals and black-owned entites.

“The Oregon Cares Fund is a targeted investment in the Black community from the CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund,” the fund website states.

“This fund is meant to provide the Black community with the resources it needs to weather the global health pandemic and consequent recession. The Oregon Cares Fund is for Black people, Black-owned businesses, and Black community based organizations.”

The application period opened on Monday and all funds must be distributed by Dec. 30, according to the Portland Business Journal.

“This is a historic first step to address the disparities facing Black Oregonians in the face of Covid-19,” State Rep. Akasha Lawrence Spence (D-Portland) said in a statement. “Oregon has underinvested in its Black citizens for far too long.”

(WND)  -  Already, a poll has found that many black voters are less likely to vote for Joe Biden because he picked Kamala Harris, and now it may get worse, with the revelation Harris is the descendant of a prominent slaveowner, said talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh on Monday.

"Folks, there’s no denying this. Her family were big slave owners. Five slave plantations, 200 slaves. The family wealth was created by virtue of these plantations. So the Democrats are out there ripping down all these founders. They owned slaves. Now they’re gonna put somebody in the Oval Orifice who owned slaves, or whose family did," Limbaugh said.

He cited author and filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza's discovery that Harris' father, Donald, a Stanford professor, wrote an article in a Jamaican magazine several years ago boasting that he was descended from one of Jamaica's largest slaveowners, Hamilton Brown.

D'Souza asked in a tweet Monday what Democrats should do about that fact, in light of the statues of George Washington being pulled down by left-wing activists because he owned slaves.

Harris, he said, is the "direct descendant and beneficiary" of a slave and plantation owner.

"The privilege Kamala Harris has enjoyed throughout her life was built on the backs of 200 black slaves, forced to work on 5 plantations by her ancestor Hamilton Brown. I’ve yet to hear any sympathy from the Left for these black lives, which evidently don’t matter at all," D'Souza tweeted Saturday.

(Free Beacon)  -  A Rhode Island donut shop announced it will end its military and police discounts after a Providence firefighter reported being racially profiled by two police officers.

"We're fed up. Until local police takes [sic] action to solve problems with racism & injustice, @alliesdonuts will choose to stand with the people of our great state," the store wrote Saturday on Instagram. "We will no longer offer military or police discounts. Thank you for your service, and shame on you for your silence."

The store said the profiling incident was "an example of terrible job performance" and that the officers would not face any consequences.

Rioters Deface "Glory" Memorial to Black Soldiers

Rioters in Boston defaced the Shaw 54th Regiment Memorial to black soldiers in the Civil War as a “Black Lives Matter” protest moved through the city on Sunday.

The Boston Globe reported: “Memorials in three of the city’s major parks were hit with graffiti and vandalism Sunday night after tensions mounted between demonstrators and police following a day of mostly peaceful protest marches that wound through Boston.”

One of those memorials, the Globe noted, was the monument to the 54th: “One of the memorials targeted by vandals was the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment Memorial, which was unveiled 137 years ago Sunday and depicts a pioneering group of Black soldiers marching into battle during the Civil War.”

A website dedicated to the memorial, which stands at the top of a hill on the Boston Common, explains:

The most acclaimed piece of sculpture on Boston Common is the Robert Gould Shaw and Massachusetts 54th Regiment Memorial by Augustus Saint-Gaudens; a memorial to that group of men who were among the first African Americans to fight in the Civil War. The monument portrays Shaw and his men marching down Beacon Street past the State House on May 28, 1863 as they left Boston on their way to South Carolina, Shaw erect on his horse, the men marching alongside.

The monument, which literally commemorates black lives dedicated (and sacrificed) to the struggle against slavery, was defaced with profane anti-police graffiti, as well as tributes to George Floyd, the African American man killed by police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last week.

(Infowars)  -  Conservative firebrand Candace Owens has been suspended from Twitter on Saturday after criticizing Democrat Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s excessive lockdown orders.

“Apparently @GovWhitmer believes she is a duly elected dictator of a socialist country,” Owens tweeted. “The people of Michigan need to stand up to her. Open your businesses. Go to work. The police think she’s crazy too. They are not going to arrest 10,000,000 people for going to work.”

It’s unclear exactly how Owens violated Twitter’s rules, especially given the social media platform did not provide a reason for her suspension.

Following her suspension, Owens pointed out the hypocrisy of her First Amendment rights being violated by Twitter for encouraging people to work while leftist cheerleaders like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) openly call for protests and boycotts not to work on the same platform.

“Twitter has locked me out of my account but has decided to omit which of their policies I have violated,” Owens told The Gateway Pundit. “Apparently, encouraging citizens to go to work is a violation, but Alexandria Ocasión Cortez encouraging workers to boycott and protest is not.”

“I stand by my statement about Governor Whitmer acting as a dictator. Both the Sherriff Departments and the citizens, and the state legislature of Michigan are in agreement with me. I will not kowtow to a socialist world order that seeks to limit my constitutional freedom of speech,” she added.
