Non-Muslim teachers ordered to wear hijab or be fired

Australian teachers:  "Wear the hijab or be fired."
  • In an orgy of limp-wristed politically correct immigration policy, Australia imports Muslims into their nation.
  • The pansy pickers of both the left and right refuse to understand that under Islam there is no freedom of religion or freedom of thought.

TWO female teachers from the publicly funded Islamic College of South Australia have gone to court to fight against being unfairly dismissed based, in part, on their attire being considered inappropriate.

The teachers were sacked last year by the West Croydon school, which issued a warning to all female teachers - Muslim and non-Muslim - to wear a hijab head scarf or face the sack.

One of the teachers has taken a case of unfair dismissal to the civil court while the other's claim is being heard by Fair Work Australia reports The Australian.

School principal Kadir Emniyet yesterday defended the school's policy, which he said he had discussed with all 42 teachers. He said "90 per cent of them are happy to adhere to the policy".

The policy insists non-Muslim women to wear a head scarf, not a traditional hijab, and was installed in 1998 but dropped in 2010 by the former principal and board. It was reinstated at the start of this year with a verbal only order to staff.

Non-Muslim teachers to be 'forced' to wear headscarves
An Adelaide school's dress policy has exposed a grey area in Australia's discrimination laws.  An Islamic College has threatened to dismiss its non-Muslim female staff if they don't wear headscarves .

Emniyet, who started in his position at the college this year, said male teachers who breached the staff dress code - for example, by wearing shorts - would face the same three-strikes warning system as female teachers who did not adhere to the headscarf policy.

LEADERS of the global Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir have called on Australian Muslims to spurn secular democracy and Western notions of moderate Islam and join the struggle for a transnational Islamic state.

British Hizb ut-Tahrir leader Burhan Hanif told participants at a conference in western Sydney yesterday that democracy is "haram" (forbidden) for Muslims, whose political engagement should be be based purely on Islamic law.

"We must adhere to Islam and Islam alone," Mr Hanif told about 500 participants attending the convention in Lidcombe.

"We should not be conned or succumb to the disingenuous and flawed narrative that the only way to engage politically is through the secular democratic process. It is prohibited and haram."

He said democracy was incompatible with Islam because the Koran insisted Allah was the sole lawmaker, and Muslim political involvement could not be based on "secular and erroneous concepts such as democracy and freedom".  (www.news.com.au/national)

Welcome to Australia  -  Praise Allah!
