Joe Miller to challenge Murkowski as Libertarian Party nominee

Joe Miller and Senator Lisa Murkowski.

It's going to be a Hell of a ride

  • Former Alaska Senate GOP nominee to run as a Libertarian.  No doubt lots of details to follow.
  • We need more parties on the ballot. But I feel we do not need pansy "Give group hugs" Libertarians.
  • We need a new Nationalist Party that opposes both the open borders GOP and the open borders Democrats. A new party of patriots that cuts across the phony and false liberal-conservative divide.

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) Joe Miller is turning the tables on Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
Six years ago the tea party favorite won the GOP nomination but lost the general election to Murkowski, who ran a write-in campaign.
Now, after sitting out the primary, Miller is running against Murkowski as a Libertarian. The move creates a race with four candidates who have a proven ability to win support from a significant amount of the electorate.
“Alaskans deserve a real choice,” Miller wrote in a news release. "The choice between a Democrat, a Democrat-backed independent, and a Republican-In-Name-Only -- who has been one of Barack Obama's chief enablers -- is no choice at all.”
The move comes after the Libertarian Party nominee, Cean Stevens, withdrew from the race.
Democrat Ray Metcalfe and Independent Margaret Stock will also appear on the November ballot.
Murkowski and Stock could not immediately be reached for comment, but Metcalfe said he welcomes the latest entrant to the race.
"I was wishing he'd have run in the Republican primary. I think he would have taken it. Frankly, had he taken it I'd have a lot better shot, but even this certainly improves my chances." Metcalfe said. "Three candidates are going to split up the vote, so that does give us as a smaller party a chance of having our nominee be the victor."

Feds: "Gadsden flag could be racist"

Leftists Again Attack Free Speech
Open your mouth to oppose Leftists
and you are tagged a "racist".

(Infowars)  -  The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is currently debating whether attire bearing the Gadsden flag symbol can be construed as racial harassment.
The case began in 2014 at a private business when a black employee filed a complaint with the agency over a coworker who regularly wore a hat featuring the iconic snake and the “don’t tread on me” phrase.
The complaint alleged the flag was inherently racist because Christopher Gadsden, the flag’s designer, was “a slave trader & owner of slaves.” Even though the hat’s owner never made any racist comments according to the complaint, the black employee asserted the symbol is a “historical indicator of white resentment against blacks stemming largely from the Tea Party.”
The complainant also notes that the coworker continued wearing the hat even after being told to stop by his superiors.
Although the EEOC’s preliminary ruling stated that the flag was not racist, the agency is continuing to gather evidence before coming to a final conclusion.
“In light of the ambiguity in the current meaning of this symbol, we find that Complainant’s claim must be investigated to determine the specific context in which [the coworker] displayed the symbol in the workplace,” the preliminary ruling says. “It is clear that the Gadsden Flag originated in the Revolutionary War in a non-racial context.”
“Moreover, it is clear that the flag and its slogan have been used to express various non-racial sentiments, such as when it is used in the modern Tea Party political movement, guns rights activism, patriotic displays, and by the military.”
Despite admitting no racial connotation, the EEOC continued by arguing that the symbol “has since been sometimes interpreted to convey racially-tinged messages in some contexts.”

GOP to hold "pretend" impeachment hearings

Remember this smirking prick?

Yet Another GOP Fuck Up

  • You might as well have Nancy Pelosi in charge of Congress. The GOP "leadership" is a steaming pile of lying crap.
  • The House could have held IRS impeachment hearings long, long ago. But I think the Establishment GOP had no problem with Comrade Obama's IRS targeting that pesky Tea Party. After all, "crazy" Constitutionalists only cause trouble for the corrupt Elites of both parties.
  • Now the GOP will hold "pretend" impeachment hearings that will go nowhere.

(Washington Times)  -  House Republicans on Friday announced hearings to investigate whether IRS Commissioner John Koskinen misled Congress and violated a subpoena, taking the first steps that could ultimately lead to his impeachment over the tax agency’s tea party targeting.
Impeachment is still very unlikely, particularly given the short amount of work days left in this Congress and in the Obama administration’s tenure overall.
But conservatives are intent on exploring Mr. Koskinen’s actions after the IRS was ordered to preserve and turn over documents related to targeting of tea party groups — and particularly emails from former senior executive Lois G. Lerner.
Mr. Koskinen’s accusers say he failed to comply with a congressional subpoena on those documents, and instead he allowed backup tapes of the emails to be destroyed.
He also said his agency was unable to find the backups of some of Mrs. Lerner’s emails — but the IRS’s own internal auditor was able to discover thousands of them with little effort. The internal auditor concluded that the agency erased 422 backup tapes that should have been protected by the subpoena.

Tea Party group endorses open borders Ted Cruz

Open Borders Ted
  • My gut feeling is Cruz will do anything to advance himself.
  • Cruz licked the boots of Obama and the open borders TPP crowd until the Presidential debates started.
  • Breitbart points out that in 2013 Senator Ted Cruz proposed amendments quintupling H-1B vistas from 65,000 to 325,000 people per year. In addition, the New York Times reports Cruz proposed increasing the number of green cards from 675,000 to 1.35 million annually.

(Independent Journal)  -  The largest Tea Party group in American, the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund, has finally announced which candidate they are endorsing for president.
The group announced today that they are throwing their support behind Republican senator Ted Cruz.
Chairman Jenny Beth Martin praised Cruz in a press release today:
“We seek a candidate who shares our values: personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free future. On behalf of Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund and our supporters, I am proud to announce our endorsement for president of the United States: Senator Ted Cruz!”

NH Poll - It's Trump in a landsalide

Landslide Numbers for Trump, Carson slips

Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm based in Winter Springs, Fla. recently conducted a random survey of 600 registered voters in New Hampshire regarding the presidential election and other areas on November 11, 2015. The sample includes 330 Republican Primary participants, 214 Democrats.

When asked, “Assuming you had to vote today, which 2016 GOP Candidate would you vote for?”, the majority of voters 29 percent stated they would cast their ballots for Donald Trump. Less than half of that percentage, 12 percent stated they would currently vote for Ted Cruz, with Marco Rubio, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush rounding off the top five.

The people questioned in the November 11th poll were then asked about their opinions on who’d they’d vote for on the Democratic side for President of the United States. When the voters were asked, “Assuming you had to vote today, which 2016 Democrat Candidate would you vote for?”, 46 percent indicated support for Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders captured 25 percent support while Martin O’Malley received only three percent. At the time of the poll, 26 percent of those asked were currently unsure as to which Democratic nominee they would support.

Finally, the focus of the Gravis poll shifted to asking New Hampshire voters about their opinions in the Senate by asking; “In a potential Republican primary next year between incumbent Senator Kelly Ayotte and Businessman Andrew Hemingway who would you vote for?” The current Senator Kelly Ayotte received the support of 58 percent, however, the successful entrepreneur received the support of 23 percent, with a large portion of those polled currently undecided on who’d they support in a state primary.

Party break down of New Hampshire voters polled.

Tea Party Affiliation
With all the bullshit pouring out of the mouths of both parties, it is depressing that so few voters identify with the Tea Party movement.
.
I can understand this to a degree because the Tea Party is not an independent political party. It is not even a true and recognizable faction within the GOP. So-called Tea Party candidates usually do not even use the snake flag at public rallies or on campaign materials. I can only assume that many Tea Party candidates might be using the idea of a Tea Party for votes but really do not care.
.
So we appear to have slipped back to the corrupt one party Republicrat system.

From Tea Party to Corporate Whore - Congressman Stephen Fincher's Journey

"Make the check out to cash please."

"Corruptus in Extremis"

  • Congressmen no longer represent the people. They represent the open borders Wall Street Billionaire Cartels shoveling mountains of corrupt cash into their campaigns.
  • Here we see the system corrupting the Tea Party.  If you wonder why no Conservative legislation is ever passed this is the reason.
  • Unless an apathetic public wakes up and demands election reform we will be ruled over by a corrupt oligarchy.

(Washington Examiner)  -  Washington corrupts, and GOP Congressman Stephen Fincher is proof.

Fincher, once an opponent of the Export-Import Bank —a federal agency that subsidizes foreign buyers of U.S.-made goods — now is trying to undermine his party's leadership by teaming up with Nancy Pelosi and her party in order to reauthorize Ex-Im Bank as President Obama and his big donors in the business lobby have demanded.

The obvious explanation is that Fincher has pulled up his Tennessee roots and is now firmly planted in D.C. Instead of serving Western Tennessee, Fincher, who sits on the Financial Services Committee, now represents Wall Street and K Street.

Fincher has raised a quarter-million for his re-election, according to his most recent campaign finance filing. Exactly two of his approximately 150 donations have come from Tennessee residents. Tennessee residents have given Fincher a combined $750, which rounds to 0 percent of his money raised.
Fincher has raised more money from the K Street firm Barbour, Griffith, and Rogers than he has from individuals in Tennessee. More than 99 percent of the money powering Fincher's re-election bid comes from political action committees (almost all of them corporate PACs) and K Street lobbyist types.
Studying this lengthy list of Fincher's PAC donors is revealing.
Fincher introduced his bill to reauthorize Ex-Im on Jan. 28. Two days later his campaign deposited a $2,000 check from General Electric, Ex-Im's second-largest beneficiary and most ruthless defender. GE in recent days has announced it was moving jobs to Canada and Europe to chase those countries' export subsidies — though all of those jobs appear to be either nonexistent or already slated to go offshore for other reasons.
Boeing (which benefits from 40 percent of Ex-Im subsidies) and United Technologies chipped in about a week and a half later. All of Ex-Im's top beneficiaries, exporters and lenders (notably Ex-Im's leading lender JPMorgan), have given to Fincher's re-election.
Other corporate welfare recipients give to Fincher and benefit from his votes. Fincher has voted to protect the federal sugar program, whereby our government keeps out foreign sugar and issues taxpayer-backed loans to guarantee high prices for U.S. sugar growers. This hurts families, U.S.-based foodmakers and the economy, while benefitting a handful of privileged sugar companies.
Tennessee produces no sugarcane or sugar beets, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's 2012 Ag Census. But Fincher's donors do.
Sugar Cane Growers of Florida PAC, American Crystal Sugar PAC, American Sugar Cane League PAC, Florida Sugar Cane League PAC, Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Co-Op PAC and the U.S. Beet Sugar PAC are all Fincher donors and all beneficiaries of the corporate welfare Fincher supports.
Fincher's top two sources of funds, according to OpenSecrets.org, are the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and Regions Financial. Both of these bodies profit from and lobby to expand the federal crop insurance program. Fincher, of course, voted to expand federal crop insurance by $9 billion over 10 years.

Mark Levin: "The GOP won the majority on a lie."

Ripping into the GOP

  • I disagree with Mark Levin on many issues, but he makes a number of good points on the worthless Republican Party.
  • Not a Clue - Levin says the GOP has lost its way.  He totally off base on that.  From 1900 on the GOP is the party that spearheaded the creation of centralized Big Government and created the Marxist income tax to re-distribute the wealth of America.  FDR only built on what the GOP created.
  • To this day the open borders GOP fully funds every big government program ever created and protects the Marxist income tax from reform.  The GOP is not "Conservative". In actuality the GOP is a European Socialist Party like the German Christian Democrats.

(Breitbart News)  -  Conservative talk show host Mark Levin ripped into the GOP Elites at the 37th Annual National Conservative Student Conference.

Levin declared that, “The Republican Party won the majority on a lie.”

Levin argued that on every issue from Obamacare to executive amnesty to Obamatrade, the establishment Republican Party has refused to represent the interests of Americans.

Prior to his remarks, Levin sat down with Breitbart News and diagnosed the failings of the Republican Party — namely, that “The Republican establishment is the problem.”
Levin explained that the GOP’s problems stem largely from party leadership. In a metaphor invoking the idea of House Speaker John Boehner a Republican in drag, Levin said:
[Boehner] is essentially delivering for Barack Obama everything Barack Obama wants. Just because you’re dressed up as a Republican doesn’t make it so… By his actions, he has demonstrated that he is not a conservative. He spends his time with [Rep. Kevin] McCarthy (R-CA) and [Rep. Steve] Scalise (R-LA) conspiring against the Tea Party and the more conservative elements of his caucus… I can’t think of one significant advance in the cause of liberty or limited government under John Boehner. When he and [Sen. Mitch] McConnell (R-KY)—who’s equally bad— surrendered the power of the purse right out of the box… they just delivered Obama everything he wanted. So these men have helped Obama oversee the biggest explosion of government both in spending and in power ever.

Levin explained that under current leadership, the Republican Party has been an abject failure:
The Republican Party is a disaster. It has lost its way, I don’t think it even knows what its way is. We have a couple of self-serving powerful politicians at the top—in the House, in the Senate, and in the RNC [Republican National Committee] and various other places that empower themselves, they like exercising power. And they fear conservatives more than the Democratic Party… They hate conservatives, they hate constitutionalists, they hate the Tea Party. They don’t care for the Democrats, but they’ll work with them… They have no strategic vision whatsoever

Fuck the Left-Wing GOP
jj
Working within the Left-Wing GOP has failed.  It has resulted in a massive and increasingly authoraritian Big Government state.
.
Unless you are elected to office you are powerless.  An independent Tea Party needs to be formed with a national committee and 50 state committees to organize and raise funds.

.
Running candidates for most Congressional seats won't work.  It is way too expensive to campaign.  There might be a few Congressional seats to target.  But mostly I suggest that a new Tea Party target highly Conservative state legislative seats and defeat Republicans in general elections.  A new Tea Party could start building a bench of candidates who have won lower and upper house seats at the state level.  Once in state legislatures the Tea Party could force attention to our platform.
.
You either build a new party or agree to be ruled over by Leftists.

True Conservatives need our own party
to gain any political leverage at all.

Republican Liberty Caucus: Wayne Allyn Root is now Chairman of National Campaign Committee

Wayne Allyn Root: Cover Story on Libertarianism in Las Vegas Magazine

Does anything we do even matter?

  • The Republican Liberty Caucus is fighting the small government good fight within the GOP.  But my thinking is to the point that nothing we do matters.
  • The bipartisan Big Government Wall Street interests flood elections for Congress with hundreds of millions in corrupt special interest campaign dollars.  In my California district last year outside Wall Street groups pumped in about $10 million to buy the eventual winner.
  • The people no longer send representatives to Congress.  Open borders Billionaire Cartels bid for ownership of candidates.  The "people" are an afterthought, a relic of a past that believed in free elections.

(RLC)  -  The National Board of the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC) has voted to name Wayne Allyn Root as Chairman of its National Campaign Committee, as well as Chairman of the RLC Advisory Board. Root, now back to his lifelong Republican roots, was the Libertarian Vice Presidential nominee in 2008, as well as an elected Board member of the Libertarian National Committee, and Chairman of the Libertarian National Campaign Committee.
One of America’s most vocal critics of the Obama administration, Root is a frequent radio and TV guest, political commentator, syndicated political columnist, and the author of the national bestselling books, “The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide” and “The Murder of the Middle Class.”
"We are very excited to have Wayne on board," said Matt Nye, RLC National Chairman. "Wayne is an extremely talented, charismatic and dynamic media personality; he's an outspoken advocate for liberty, but he is particularly fierce on economic freedom and the U.S. Constitution."
At the time Root joined the Libertarian Presidential ticket in 2008, the Bob Barr-Wayne Root presidential ticket was the 2nd most successful vote-getter in the party's history. Root says that experience showed him just how heavily the scales are tilted in favor of the two-party system.
"As the Libertarian Party’s vice presidential nominee, I called myself a 'REAGAN libertarian,' in honor of my heroes Ronald Reagan and his mentor Barry Goldwater," Root said. "I will forever be a libertarian leaning Republican-conservative, and I am grateful for my start in national politics with the Libertarian Party."
Root says the grassroots uprising in 2010 and 2014 has given him hope the Republican Party can be returned to its roots.
"Given the popularity of the Tea Party message it makes sense to work within the Republican Party to return the GOP to the ideology of Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater and Jack Kemp," Root said. "That is exactly the mission of the Republican Liberty Caucus, and I’m here to inject a dose of world-class energy and enthusiasm!"
RLC Chairman Matt Nye agrees, but says the Republicans apparently didn’t get the memo. He hopes high profile individuals like Root joining with grassroots organizations like the RLC will help them see the light.
"In spite of the clear message the grassroots sent with massive, record-setting landslides in both the 2010 and 2014 elections, GOP party leadership doesn't appear to have gotten the message," Nye said. "Republicans were given a clear mandate to stop Obama's agenda, but they've done nothing of substance to do so."
Root agrees.
"We're stuck with leadership in both houses that is either spineless, incompetent or sympathetic to the president's big government agenda; that, or the GOP’s leaders have simply been bought off by lawyers, lobbyists, big corporate donations and the famous DC culture of corruption," Root said. "This is simply unacceptable. We are watching the greatest country, and the greatest middle class, in world history being systematically destroyed, and that is something I cannot stand by idly and watch."

Boehner acts like fascist, crushes Tea Party

Tea Party Phonies

  • The so-called "Tea Party" wing had their chance.  Some 40 to 60 Conservatives could have withheld their votes for Speaker.  Instead they planted their lips deep in John Boehner's ass.  Now that they have no leverage the Tea Party Conservatives pretend to be shocked that Boehner is cracking the whip.

(Newsmax)  -  Fed up with the most conservative faction of its party "throwing a wrench" in its agenda, the House GOP leadership is laying down the law and taking a heavy hand with dissenters, Politico reports.

The 30 or so tea party members who attempt to foil the party’s agenda by opposing leadership with nay votes on procedural motions, known as rules, will receive harsh and swift punishment, according to the website.

Example: Florida Rep. Richard Nugent stopped receiving financial support from corporate PACs and was barred from congressional trips to Iraq and Guantanamo Bay after he supported fellow Sunshine State Rep. Daniel Webster in his bid to oust Boehner as speaker, according to Politico. Both men were both booted from the Rules Committee.

The vast majority — some 200 members of the caucus — favor consequences for those who dissent from the majority in the form of "stripping the rebels of gavels, denying them travel, halting campaign cash and blocking their bills from the floor," according to The Hill.

"The fact is we’ve got more than 200 rank-and-file members who are royally ----- off at those guys for voting to turn the House floor over to Nancy Pelosi," a senior GOP leadership aide told the website. "There’s plenty of anger to go around, but the large majority of it is from members who believe much more punishment should be doled out."

Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Steve Scalise have issued direct warnings about dealing with party heretics.

"McCarthy has privately told committee chairmen they need to ensure their senior members are voting with the party," according to Politico, and Scalise "has privately encouraged stiffer punishment for wayward Republicans. He kicked a few Republicans off of his vote-counting team after they bucked leaders on procedural votes."

Members who vote against procedural motions, considered "tests of party unity," are viewed as publicly rejecting leadership, The Hill says.

Tea Party Teams With ACLU, NAACP On Patriot Act

A Congress of Whores
- - - While Rand Paul and a few patriots in the Senate fight for our Bill of Rights the whores from both parties in the House re-passed the Patriot Act 338 to 88.
- - - Both parties deliberately ignore the secret courts that hear secret evidence and rubber stamp secret warrants.

(Daily Caller)  -  Growing concerns about the Patriot Act’s renewal are creating strange bedfellows. The Tea Party Patriots and the ACLU are running TV ads urging Americans to “tell Congress [to] protect our privacy.”
On top of that, the executive director of Iowa’s ACLU and Tea Party Patriots’ boss Jenny Beth Martin have coauthored an op-ed in the Des Moines Register on “the need for significant reforms to curtail government surveillance authorities, like some of those included in the Patriot Act.”
And even the NAACP — which hasn’t always been kind to the tea party movement — is getting in on the act. Hilary O. Shelton, director of the NAACP Washington Bureau and senior vice president for policy and advocacy, coauthored an op-ed with Martin, declaring: “We want our government to stop spying on innocent Americans.”
“The thinking behind these alliances is to send a message to Washington that Americans are absolutely fed up,” said Martin in an email. “When Tea Party Patriots, ACLU and NAACP can set aside their oft-adversarial history, come together, and say to Washington ‘We have a problem’…then Washington has a problem. And they’d better pay attention.”
People who are traditionally at each other’s throats are discovering they share a mutual adversary. To some, it might manifest itself in the form of government snooping or a militarized police force. To others, it might just reinforce the maxim that “Any government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have.” Either way, the right vs. left spectrum is currently overshadowed by one that pits big versus small — and the people versus the government. The real question is: How long can this last?

GOP Primary for Governor in Kentucky Too Close to Call

A Possible Conservative Win

(Associated Press)  -  Kentucky's volatile Republican primary for governor ended in a virtual tie Tuesday night as only a handful of votes separated Matt Bevin and James Comer.
Republicans Hal Heiner and Will T. Scott conceded early, and it appeared Bevin was headed to an improbable victory following his lopsided loss to U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell in last year's primary. But Comer surged ahead by a narrow margin following returns from the western part of the state, including large margins in Warren County, where Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul lives.
The Secretary of State's office was unsure how many ballots from the state's overseas voters, including soldiers, came in by the 6 p.m. deadline. The court ordered an extension on the deadline for another 11 days because of a problem with an outside vendor. But that extension applied only to 12 specific ballots.

There is no runoff election in Kentucky, and no automatic recounts. State law allows for re-canvassing only if a county clerk or a county board of elections notices a discrepancy or if a candidate makes a written request to the Secretary of State.
Comer said late Tuesday that he would ask for a recanvass, which is essentially a review of the vote totals in each county.
"We overcame so much money, we overcame the bad press with the newspapers in the state. We overcame a lot. And I owe it to our supporters to ask for a recanvass," Comer said.
Republican state Sen. Max Wise told a jubilant crowd at Comer's election night party that things looked "real good." Bevin supporters remained glued to the TV watching returns, alternating between cheers and sad faces as the last few hundred votes came in. Just before 7 p.m., Bevin thanked supporters for coming and said: "Hopefully it will be fun. We'll see."
None of the candidates have enjoyed the campaign, with Comer calling it "the dirtiest campaign that I've ever witnessed in Kentucky history." Comer spent the last two weeks fighting allegations from Marilyn Thomas, his former college girlfriend, that he emotionally and physically abused her while the two dated at Western Kentucky University more than two decades ago.
As Comer and Heiner fought, that left Bevin, with the $5 million and name recognition he earned form his failed U.S. Senate bid the year before, as the landing spot for disaffected Republican voters. He ran a TV ad with actors portraying Comer and Heiner sitting at a children's table throwing food at each other.
Whoever wins will have to unify a state Republican Party torn apart by the raucous primary. Heiner conceded around 8:40 p.m., as votes in the western part of the state were still being tallied and Bevin was ahead. Heiner told a sullen-faced crowd of his supporters in a reception hall at the Parklands of Floyds Fork that he called Bevin, congratulated him and pledged his support in the general election.

Ted Cruz - The Tea Party Opportunity

The Tea Party Candidate

  • There is a reason every nation on earth (except the U.S.) has multiple political parties. All societies break down into many different factions.  I can't imagine the big government loving, pro wealth redistribution GOP nominating a Tea Party candidate for President.  Hell would freeze over first.
  • Best case scenario.  -  I am impressed with Governor Scott Walker who comes to the Presidential table with his spine fully intact.  Depending on the campaign I can see a possible Walker-Cruz or Walker-Rubio ticket.

(Reason.com)  -  Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) just announced that he’s running for president at a speech at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He’s the first candidate to make the announcement official in the 2016 cycle. Here are five things to know about Cruz and his candidacy.

1. He wanted to be the first candidate to announce because he thought it would bring him attention. Being first out of the gate, his campaign hopes, will catch the eye of both high-engagement Republican primary voters and the media—and, in the process, might slow or stop Gov. Scott Walker’s rapid rise. Via The New York Times:
By becoming the first candidate to declare himself officially in the race, Republicans briefed on his strategy said, Mr. Cruz hopes to reclaim the affection and attention of those on the party’s right wing who have begun eyeing other contenders, particularly Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.
“It’s the shiny object principle. He wants to be first, get in the conversation, not show any doubt or hesitation,” said Dave Carney, a longtime Republican strategist. “There’s an advantage to being first. He’s now the only one running for president, instead of engaging in this Kabuki dance that the others are.”
Of course there’s always a danger to being first, too, which is that by the time the big scrum gets going, you’re old news.

2. He’s targeting tea party conservatives first, social conservatives and libertarians second. A Houston Chronicle report over the weekend sketched out the basic strategy: “Cruz will vie for the support of the tea party electorate, his advisers say, but will fare well enough with social conservative and libertarian voters to assemble a powerful coalition.” The content of the speech, which leaned heavily on Cruz’s personal faith, and the location of the announcement, at a prominent evangelical college founded by the late Jerry Falwell, make me wonder if perhaps he’s targeting social cons as much as tea party types—leaving libertarians a distant, lonely second.

3. He’s practically adored by the GOP’s conservative base. As Ben Domenech writes in this morning’s Transom newsletter:
Ted Cruz matches up with the activist base better than any other significant candidate in a long time. I don’t think people outside of that base really understand how powerful Cruz’s appeal is to the populist energized conservative voter, which is of course just a faction of the right, but is a sizable faction. Cruz’s critics need to hope that he is limited to this faction, and incapable of appealing outside of it. But that may not prove to be the case, particularly if Cruz is able to cut into the appeal of, say, Walker for pro-business types, Huckabee for social conservatives, Paul for libertarianish Republicans and the like. And he doesn’t just match up with them on policy, he matches up with their brashness, their yearning for someone who loves the taste of blood in his mouth.
I can vouch for this. I saw Cruz’s speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference a few weeks ago, and the crowd ate it up. He was speaking their language; it was a rock-concert-like mind-meld between speaker and audience. Cruz really connects with these folks, and, perhaps just as importantly, he doesn't embarass them like some other base-friendly candidates in years past.

4. Cruz is running on a flat tax. He hasn’t offered a whole lot of details, but he’s said repeatedly that he wants to abolish the Internal Revenue Service entirely. And in today’s speech, he touted the idea using a familiar pitch, saying his goal would be to “let every American fill out his or her taxes on a postcard."

5. Cruz is adamantly against ethanol cronyism—even in Iowa. Cruz has pushed a bill to repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard, and, as Politico’s Morning Energy notes, he stood his ground against the RFS in a recent trip to Iowa.
Cruz has co-sponsored legislation that would repeal the Renewable Fuel Standard over a period of five years, and when he spoke at an agriculture summit in RFS-loving Iowa earlier this month, he stuck to his guns. "The answer you'd like me to give is 'I'm for the RFS, darn it,'" Cruz responded to Bruce Rastetter, the agribusiness mogul who organized the summit. "That'd be the easy thing to do. But people are pretty fed up with politicians that run around and tell one group one thing and tell another group another thing. Then they go to Washington and don't do anything they said they would do."
That’s a real contrast to Scott Walker, who flip-flopped on the issue at a recent Iowa stop. Indeed, Cruz’s clear stance against the federal ethanol mandate makes him somewhat rare in the GOP field.

Target Republicans for Defeat
The United States has no need for two Democrat parties.
.
To gain any power at all in politics true Constitutional Federalists need to form an independent Tea Party with a its own national committee and 50 state committees.  Tea Party candidates should target strongly conservative state legislative seats and defeat Republicans in general elections.
.
Only by flipping dozens of GOP legislative seats around the country into Tea Party seats will Conservatives have any meaningful influence.

The Conservative Party of New York has been taking on the Left-Wing Republican party since 1962.

The Conservative Party of New York State was founded by a group including J. Daniel Mahoney, Kieran O'Doherty, Charles E. Rice, and Charles Edison, out of frustration with the liberalism of the state's Republican Party.

One early supporter was National Review founder William F. Buckley, who was the party's candidate for mayor of New York City in 1965. In 1970, his brother James Buckley was elected to the U.S. Senate as a Conservative Party candidate.
