Anti-torture activists protest on Dick Cheney's front porch

I Just Love That 1st Amendment
My memory is long.  Cheney has been an asshole ever since he backed Gerald Ford for President in 1976 over Ronald Reagan.

Two demonstrators protesting the Guantanamo Bay detention camp outside former Vice President Dick Cheney’s house in Virginia were cuffed Saturday morning on trespassing charges.

Eve Tetaz, an 83-year-old serial protester, was among those arrested by Fairfax County Police for the anti-torture stunt marking 13 years since the military prison opened.

She and Tighe Barry, 57, members of protest group Code Pink, also face charges of disorderly conduct after they entered Cheney’s suburban McLean property and refused to leave, police said.

The demonstration was part of Code Pink’s plan to also visit the home of CIA director John Brennan hoping to perform a “citizen’s arrest” on the men for committing what they described as war crimes, according to a statement released by Code Pink reports the Daily News.

It’s not known if Cheney was home during the protest.

Asshole Alert
1976 Flashback  -  I busted my ass working for Governor Ronald Reagan's campaign for President.  While I was fighting for Conservatism, Donald Rumsfeld (left) and Dick Cheney had their lips firmly planted in Gerald Ford's ass.
.
So when George W. Bush brought on the "Gerald Ford Team" I knew at once that true Conservatives were being screwed over.  But because Cheney had that magic "R" after his name you saw "Conservatives" like Sean Hannity and others put their brains in neutral and worship at Cheney's throne.
.
The GOP had abandoned me.  So it was about 2002 that I abandoned the liberal GOP.
