Obama takes away military benefits and weapons

Liars, Whores and Thieves
  • The scumbag hacks in Washington fall all over themselves to line the pockets of illegal aliens, Wall Street bankers and military contractors with money.  But having the back of the common soldier is usually low on the list.

Benefits for active duty personnel and their families would be slashed under a budget proposal released Monday by Comrade Obama's Pentagon.
.
A moronic Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel acknowledged the cuts would be controversial but argued they were unavoidable (bullshit) in a belt-tightening era following the end of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
.
“We know the Defense Department must make difficult budget decisions, but these cuts would hit service members, making it harder for them and their families to make ends meet,” said Paul Rieckhoff, the founder and CEO of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA).
.
  • Coupled with a 1 percent ceiling on pay hikes and assuming a 5 percent annual increase in housing costs, the Military Officers Association of America estimated an Army sergeant with a family of four would see an annual loss of $1,400. An Army captain would lose $2,100, it said.
  • General and flag officers would see a pay freeze.
  • Increased prices at military commissaries.
  • Cut the growth of housing allowances for service members and their families and stop reimbursing renter’s insurance entirely.
  • An increase in healthcare fees for military family members.

The Obama budget would eliminate the Air Force’s A-10 “Warthog” attack jets, which provide ground troops with close air support.
.
Over the next five years, the Pentagon plans to reduce the size of the active duty Army from 520,000 members to between 440,000 and 450,000. The Army National Guard would also be reduced from 355,000 to about 335,000, and the Army Reserve would be cut from 205,000 to 195,000. The Marine Corps would also shrink, from about 190,000 to 182,000.

First to get screwed by the politicians.
The liars and whores in Washington are always ready to screw over the volunteers who stand watch to protect our liberty.  Let us remember the words of Colonel Jessup below.

"Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg?
.
I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.
.
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline.
.
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to."
