Of Drug Wars and Stupidity
- The U.S. Government sends arms to the Mexican drug cartels to destabilize Mexico.
- The U.S. Government then offers to send CIA agents and Mercenaries to Mexican soil to help "re-stabilize" the Mexico that we just de-stabilized.
- Republican Governor Rick Perry now offers to use the U.S. military to kill citizens of Mexico without a trial in order to "re-stabilize" Mexico.
Pardon me. I am getting a bit dizzy with these plans of ours to help Mexico.
But I am just a "crazy" Federalist who does not understand our great and wise leaders. (Where is John Adams when you need him?)
Now Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry joins the Mexico fun while speaking during a campaign appearance in New Hampshire.
"It may require our military in Mexico working in concert with them to kill these drug cartels and keep them off our border," Perry said.
Such a move would go far beyond current US involvement in Mexico's drugs war.
The suggestion is also likely to irritate Mexico's government over the sensitive issue, says the BBC.
Governor Perry gave no further details of what sort of possible military intervention he would consider.
"I don't know all the different scenarios that would be out there," he said.
"But I think it is very important for us to work with them to keep that country from failing".
Obama Sends CIA to Mexico
