It's the end of the world

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

(EDITOR'S NOTE  -  Judging by the stories in the news, I am firmly convinced we have reached the End of Days.  Human beings are fucking idiots.  We are doomed.)

Story #1  -  Mayor says water turns you Gay

There must be something in the water in one Peruvian town - and the mayor said it's turning the men gay.

Mayor Jose Benitez has revealed that the metal strontium has got in the water supply - and warned of its apparent side-effects.

'Unfortunately strontium reduces male hormones and suddenly we'll be as Tabalosos, where the percentages are increasing of homosexuality,' he announced.

Mr Benitez issued his warning to the citizens of Huarmey during an opening ceremony for a local water project.

But while scientists warn that strontium, which is naturally occurring, can cause bone cancer, anemia and cardiovascular complications in very high doses no study has ever suggested it is linked to sexual behaviour.   (UK Daily News)

Story #3  -  Children beat up their mother for throwing away their beer

A furious son and daughter launched a vicious attack on their own mother after she threw away their cans of beer because they were below the legal drinking age, it was claimed.

Brittany Ferguson, 20, and brother Lindell, 18, of Fayetteville, Illinois are said to have assaulted their 42-year-old mother leaving her with a black eye, bloody nose and injuries to her body.

The pair are now being held at St. Clair County Jail on $10,000 bonds having been charged with multiple counts of domestic battery.

According to States attorney Brendan Kelly, Brittany Ferguson hit her mother in the face with a piece of trim before punching her in the face and kicking her about the body.

Her younger brother then allegedly joined in the attack.

Authorities say the mother told police the disturbance started because she threw out several cans of Bud Light beer because her daughter wasn't of legal drinking age.

St. Clair County sheriff's investigators say deputies responding to a report of a dispute at the victim's home found the 42-year-old woman bleeding and with a black eye.
