$2,000 reward to report neighbors guilty of “wrongspeak”

 

(Natural News)  The Washington state legislature has passed a bill to create a statewide snitching infrastructure for residents to report their neighbors for "wrongspeak."

Senate Bill 5427, which passed both the Senate and the House and now awaits Gov. Jay Inslee's signature, allows private individuals, including non-citizens and illegal aliens, to reports "bias incidents" to the state attorney general's office. Each reporting incident comes with a potential reward payout of $2,000.

The bill's supporters say its purpose is to protect "victims of hate crimes" before said crimes even occur, but at what cost? In essence, SB 5427 creates a tattletale hotline designed to intimidate people in Washington from speaking their minds, especially when such speech might be politically incorrect.

From what we can tell, SB 5427 is unconstitutional for at least the following five reasons:

1) It infringes on one's right to confront his accuser

2) It impedes freedom of speech

3) It violates freedom of thought, an implied right in the First Amendment

4) It steamrolls freedom of religion

5) It impairs freedom of the press

(Seattle Times)  Seattle police’s sexual assault and child abuse unit staff has been so depleted that it stopped assigning to detectives this year new cases with adult victims, according to an internal memo sent to interim police Chief Adrian Diaz in April.

The unit’s sergeant put her staffing crisis in stark terms. 

“The community expects our agency to respond to reports of sexual violence,” Sgt. Pamela St. John wrote, “and at current staffing levels that objective is unattainable.”

Dems: Bicycle Helmet Laws Are Racist

A law requiring Seattle bicyclists to wear helmets had been in effect for nearly 30 years, but was revoked in the name of racial equity. The King County Board of Health voted to repeal the helmet mandate because of accusations that the law was disproportionately enforced against people of color and homeless people.

In 1993, King County passed the law that requires all bicyclists to wear helmets. The law was expanded to explicitly include Seattle in 2003. The law was enacted to decrease the severity of bicycling incidents.

However, the community began noticing data that suggests black and homeless bicyclists were receiving more tickets than others.

“Seattle Police Department data collected and analyzed by Seattle Neighborhood Greenways and the Helmet Law Working Group shows that police disproportionately gave helmet law citations to black, indigenous, and people of color cyclists,” states the press release from the Public Health Insider for Seattle and King County.

COVID GESTAPO "Strike Force" To ‘Involuntarily Detain’ Unvaccinated

The state of Washington may amend a law to allow the forcible detainment of residents into COVID “internment camps” for defying state vaccine mandates.

The proposed revision to the COVID protocol under the Communicable and Certain Other Diseases Act, called WAC 246-100-040, outlines “procedures for isolation or quarantine.”

The amendment would grant local health officers at “his other sole discretion” to “issue an emergency detention order causing a person or group of persons to be immediately detained for purposes of isolation or quarantine.”

Additionally, the measure would allow law enforcement to assist public health officials in detaining residents who refused the COVID injection.

WAC-246-100-040 states that “a local health officer may invoke the powers of police officers, sheriffs, constables, and all other officers and employees of any political subdivisions within the jurisdiction of the health department to enforce immediately orders given to effectuate the purposes of this section in accordance with the provisions of RCW 43.20.050(4) and 70.05.120.”

The “emergency detention order” would allow individuals to be detained “for a period not to exceed ten days.”

This alarming measure comes in tandem with Gov. Jay Inslee’s (D) effort to hire “strike teams” to run quarantine camps, outlined in the state’s governmentjobs.com website, a term that has since been scrubbed from the website sometime after the bulletin was posted in September 2021.

Now the state website says “Isolation and Quarantine Camp Consultant” duties include “Maintaining the readiness of the facility and equipment which includes ensuring contractors have cleaned the facility adequately.”

The so-called “Isolation & quarantine team consultants” will earn $3,294 to $4,286 monthly for their services, according to the website.

Notably, WAC 246-100-040 was certified on October 25, 2019, just months before the COVID-19 pandemic began in January 2020.

(WND)  The governor of Washington has begun a process that could result in a statewide mandate for all workers to accept the experimental COVID-19 shots in order to be able to get a paycheck.

Across America already, universities, schools and hospitals have COVID vaccination mandates – even though as experimental treatments those actions remain under court challenge in many cases.

But now Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee in Washington has moved the agenda even further.

A report at the PostMillennial explains under Inslee, the Washington Department of Labor and Industries has proposed an emergency package of rules addressing the "emergency powers" given Inslee to respond to COVID-19.

"This package, which is an extension of current mandates, grants Inslee the ability to enforce COVID vaccine mandates on all private businesses in the state of Washington, according to elected officials," the report said.

It was a statement from Republicans Jim Walsh and Jesse Young of the legislature that revealed the actions.

"This mandate from L&I demonstrates a complete lack of transparency, which dilutes public trust in our government and fails to show the agency's good faith in promulgating the rule. The reality is this move by L&I is a blank check for the agency to enforce any of the governor's mandates or edicts on private employers," they wrote.

The City of Seattle invited white municipal employees to take part in diversity education seminars last month that stressed their “complicity in the system of white supremacy” and sought to re-educate them to “interrupt racism.”

Last month, the City of Seattle’s Office of Civil Rights sent an email inviting “white City employees” to attend a training session on “Interrupting Internalized Racial Superiority and Whiteness,” a program designed to help white workers examine their “complicity in the system of white supremacy” and “interrupt racism in ways that are accountable to Black, Indigenous and People of Color.” Hoping to learn more, I submitted a public records request for all documentation related to the training. The results are disturbing.

Once the diversity trainers have established this basic conceptual framework, they encourage white employees to “practice self-talk that affirms [their] complicity in racism” and work on “undoing [their] own whiteness.” As part of this process, white employees must abandon their “white normative behavior” and learn to let go of their “comfort,” “physical safety,” “social status,” and “relationships with some other white people.” As writer James Lindsay has pointed out, this is not the language of human resources; it is the language of cult programming—persuading members they are defective in some predefined manner, exploiting their emotional vulnerabilities, and isolating them from previous relationships.

The Public Broadcasting System (PBS), a taxpayer-supported entity, has created “Tools for Anti-Racist Teaching” that it provides to educators to help them instruct children about “systemic racism,” their role in it, and how to fight it.

Mandatory masks statewide demands Democrat Governor

Gov. Inslee (D - Washington) announced Tuesday that face coverings will be mandatory statewide, issuing an order that takes effect Friday, June 26.

“We need to remain vigilant, diligent, and resourceful,” to stop this virus, Inslee said.

Unfortunately, the governor reported, there has been an uptick of cases in Washington state as businesses and public places start to reopen.

Inslee noted that Washingtonians were committed and disciplined when businesses had to be shut down early in the pandemic response to maintain social distancing. As we have reopened our economy, the same social distancing strategy is not as available to us, the governor said. As a result, cases are rising, as is the number of people that one person infects.

(WND)  -  Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan asserted Sunday night that “white men” are responsible for much of the widespread destruction across the country during protests against the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after an officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes.

“I want to acknowledge that much of the violence and destruction, both here in Seattle and across the country, has been instigated and perpetuated by white men,” she wrote Sunday night on Twitter, adding that they “experience the height of privilege and are co-opting peaceful demonstrations.”

Durkan is not the only person blaming white people for much of the violence.

MSNBC host Joy Reid was among several media pundits and politicians who suggested the protests are going awry partially because white supremacists are getting involved.

(WND)  -  A Washington state lawmaker is alerting citizens to "isolation camps" set up in his state and others to house people who become infected with COVID-19, warning that contrary to the conventional narrative, they are not voluntary.

State Republican Rep. Matt Shea of the Spokane area in eastern Washington, explained in a video interview with The New American magazine that the camps are part of Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee's policy of contract tracing, which has been implemented by many states.

He explained that the tracers visit people who may have been infected and advise them they can isolate at a center to protect other members of their household.

While the infected person may be asked to volunteer, the government makes it clear that people can be forcibly quarantined, Shea pointed out.

He read a line from a form that local health officers are to present to someone who is infected.

It says: "If you do not comply with this request for voluntary quarantine I may/will sign a detention order, enforced by the police, to ensure your compliance."

Shea said the centers are being set up at county fairgrounds, and he is hearing of it happening in other states.

He noted that another element of the contact tracing in Washington state was Inslee's order that restaurants log the names and contact information of anyone who sits down to eat. Fierce opposition to the policy led to the governor withdrawing the measure.

In response to the coronavirus hysteria, the city council of Bellingham, Washington, is proposing banning the possession, transfer, and carrying of firearms, as well as banning alcohol sales and closing the city streets to the public. 

This is on the agenda for their next meeting on Tuesday, March 23rd.

The emergency ordinance includes the following:

4.An order requiring the discontinuance of the sale, distribution, or giving away of alcoholic beverages in any or all parts of the city;

5.An order requiring the discontinuance of the sale, distribution, or giving away of firearms and/or ammunition for firearms in any or all parts of the city;

6.An order requiring the discontinuance of the sale, distribution, or giving away of gasoline or other liquid flammable or combustible products in any container other than a gasoline tank properly affixed to a motor vehicle;

7.An order requiring the closure of any or all business establishments where firearms and/or ammunition for firearms are sold or otherwise dispensed; provided, that with respect to those business establishments which are not primarily devoted to the sale of firearms and/or ammunition and in which such firearms and/or ammunition may be removed or made secure from possible seizure by the public, the portions thereof utilized for sale of items other than firearms and ammunition may, in the discretion of the mayor, be allowed to remain open;

8.An order closing to the public any or all public places, including streets, alleys, public ways, schools, parks, beaches, amusement areas, and public buildings;

9.An order prohibiting the carrying or possession of firearms or any instrument which is capable of producing bodily harm and which is carried or possessed with the intent to use the same to cause such harm; provided, that any such order shall not apply to peace officers or military personnel engaged in the performance of their official duties;

10.An order prohibiting the carrying, possession, and/or sale of explosives;

They are trying to say it would be unlawful for a resident to hand a firearm or a bullet to their significant other or family members. There are several obvious problems with this “ordinance.” Besides the obvious, Washington has a preemption law that forbids municipalities from regulating firearms. Plus, it’s already unlawful to carry a firearm with the “intent” to use it to cause harm. Does this ban include baseball bats and tree branches?

If someone is walking down the sidewalk on their way to the store to get food, or driving to the doctor, or riding a bike to check on their elderly grandmother, the person would apparently be in violation of this code. If someone needs gas for their chainsaw so they can cut wood to stay warm, the gas station would not legally be allowed to serve them.

If the city passes this, there will surely be lawsuits rising from it quickly.
