But when it comes to America's borders, those must stay wide open so cheap labor can enter by the millions.
The 2018 omnibus provides just enough funds to build 33 miles of fencing on the Texas border — but it also provides $500 million to help Jordan build a wall and defense line against jihad terrorists trying to cross its 287-mile border with Iraq and Syria.
The U.S.-funded, $500 million, 274-mile Jordan-Iraq border wall was described by Vice.com, in a 2016 article titled “The Great Wall of Jordan: How the US Wants to Keep the Islamic State Out”;
The wall, which began as a $20 million project in 2008 to erect a set of surveillance towers along a 30-mile (50 km) stretch of the border with Syria, has since expanded into a program costing half a billion dollars, according to defense officials who spoke to VICE News. Called the Jordan Border Security Program or JBSP, the wall is ostensibly meant to stop weapons of mass destruction from getting out, but since 2013 has refocused on detecting Islamic State fighters and arms smuggling, as well as refugees, on both sides of the border …
The first phase of the JBSP, the erection of the towers, was completed in September 2009. Phase 1B, the beginning of the fence, was completed in March 2014. Phases 2 and 3, the building of a fully integrated and networked fence running along a 275-mile(442 km) stretch of Jordan’s borders with Syria and Iraq and costing some $300 million, are scheduled to be fully operational this year. Further phases will extend the fence along the entire border and improve surveillance and detection gear. Mobile surveillance stations and quick reaction forces will be stationed at vulnerable points or emerging hot spots.

(Daily Caller) - Prince Faisal bin Hussein told GOP North Carolina Congressman Mark Walker the Jordanian government could not vet Syrian refugees, The Washington Examiner reports. Walker, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee, was in Jordan at the time of the comment for a fact finding mission. The U.S. Department of State reportedly tried to tell Walker that the vetting process was thorough, just hours before Hussein told him, “we can’t vet these people.” The United Nations High Committee on Refugees believes 655,000 Syrian refugees currently reside in Jordan, dispersed across multiple camps. Hussein’s comments echo the security concerns expressed in the executive order by President Donald Trump Friday that indefinitely suspended the Syrian refugee program. The suspension came just days after news broke that the FBI is revetting Syrian refugees allowed into the U.S. that must be revetted.

What the poll does not tell you
#1 - This poll is flawed. I suspect you can easily double (or more) the number of ISIS supporters. Most Muslims polled are not going to openly admit to a pollster that they support a terrorist group that beheads people.
#2 - Just because a Muslim says they have an unfavorable view of ISIS does not mean they believe in freedom. Just try to build a brand new Jewish Synagogue or Christian Church in Muslim Morocco, Libya, Turkey or Iran and see the reaction of the locals. The Muslims polled might not support ISIS, but they could be supporters of other terrorist factions.
#3 - By translating the pro-ISIS poll percentages into millions of people you can see the bottomless pit of potential terrorists.
(American Thinker) - A new poll by the Pew Research Center reveals significant levels of support for ISIS within the Muslim world. In 11 representative nation-states, up to 14 percent of the population has a favorable opinion of ISIS, and upwards of 62 percent "don't know" whether or not they have a favorable opinion of the Islamist group. In Pakistan, a nuclear weapons state, only 28 percent of the public view ISIS unfavorably. By this overwhelming degree of either tacit support or tolerance for ISIS in the country, ISIS should be considered as a potential proxy nuclear weapons power via its linkages and support within Pakistan. When broken down by ethnicity and religion, the results are equally troubling. In Israel, 4 percent of its Arab population – which equates to more than 66,000 individuals – have a favorable view of ISIS. For Gaza and the West Bank, 5 and 8 percent, respectively, also hold a favorable view of ISIS. In Nigeria, the ISIS favorability rating among the Muslim population soars to 20 percent. Another 12 percent of Muslims in Malaysia take a similar positive view of ISIS.

Ma'an, Jordan (CNN) -- The quiet, sandy streets of the southern Jordanian city of Ma'an belie the pro-jihadi sentiments simmering just under the surface.

One hundred and fifty miles south of the capital, Amman, Ma'an has always been known as a rebellious city in Jordan. For decades it has been at the center of repeated episodes of violent riots and confrontations with the security forces.
But Ma'an is also an important city, historically a key base of tribal support for Jordan's Hashemite monarchy.
In recent months, videos of small but vocal pro-ISIS demonstrations have circulated on social media, with some Ma'an residents waving the black flag of the hardline extremist group which has taken massive swaths of land in Syria and Iraq.
Demonstrators brazenly called for an Islamic state and chanted anti-government slogans.
The government says it has the situation in Ma'an under control, despite the apparent tensions.
"The very few Jordanians who carried ISIS flag were arrested," government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani told CNN on Tuesday of the demonstrations.
According to a government official who spoke on condition of anonymity, "the majority of people who showed sympathy with ISIS were arrested." The official said a total of 71 sympathizers had been arrested over the past couple of weeks across the country.
For years Jordanians have joined the ranks of extremist groups like al-Qaeda in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and more recently in Syria.
Jordan, a key U.S. ally, has been on high alert along its borders with both Iraq and Syria, beefing up security and foiling a number of infiltration attempts, according to the government.
But many in the kingdom fear the threat from within is now only going to rise after Jordan joined the U.S.-led coalition in its fight against the terror group in Iraq and Syria.
Like many Jordanians, the mayor of Ma'an is concerned about the repercussions of the country going on the offensive against ISIS in neighboring countries.
"The Salafi jihadi movement has been in Jordan for years, not just in Ma'an but also in other cities ... if this movement in Iraq or Syria declares a war on Jordan, they will not hesitate to carry out operations in Jordan," Mayor Majed al-Sharari told CNN in his office on Monday.
Hardline Islamists in Ma'an's main market area were not hard to find. One after the other, they came forward to voice support for ISIS, which calls itself the Islamic State.
One man said ISIS is the only solution to Ma'an's troubles. Another declared: "We hope the mujahideen come here and enforce Islamic, Sharia law -- we want Sharia law."
"For almost four years our brothers in Syria have been bombed, civilians and children killed ... mosques destroyed and we haven't seen the United States, Jordan's apostate military and the infidel Arab armies move to support our brothers in Syria ... but when it came to the mujahideen, they mobilized all their armies and started striking," said another man.

According to French newspaper La Figaro guerrilla fighters from the Free Syrian Army have been released across the Syrian border from Jordan and are headed toward Damascus.
These fighters, according to reports have been trained by U.S. military, CIA operatives and Jordanian and Israeli commandos. A first wave of about 300 fighters were released into Syria on August 17 and a second wave on August 19, according to the paper reports Ben Swann.
As for the question: about 2 months ago I asked, “Why are 300 marines now stationed along the Syrian border with Jordan?” At the time, the Obama administration claimed that those Marines were only there as part of a training exercise. President Obama himself acknowledged the troops in Jordan saying,
“This detachment that participated in the exercise and remained in Jordan includes Patriot missile systems, fighter aircraft, and related support, command, control, and communications personnel and systems,” Obama said.
Today, not only is it clear that these were not training exercises being conducted but that, as we suspected, the U.S. is providing more than just the “non lethal assistance” the administration has claimed.
Why is this important? Because, as we explain in this video the U.S. is pouring money, assistance and training into the FSA. However, if the Assad regime falls, it will not be the FSA that is in position to take over the country but instead it will be al Nusra Front, the Syrian wing of al Qaeda in Iraq.

CIA-Free Syrian Army Training Camp
(Vice News) - “I do not want to mention my name,” said a 20-year-old Free Syrian Army fighter, “because the camp we practiced in was highly classified.”
So classified, in fact, that the CIA—which is rumored to be running the camp (but declined to comment for this article)—still won’t acknowledge it exists.
For nearly a year, rumors have swirled about a covert, US-run training camp for FSA fighters in the vast Jordanian desert. (Jordanian intelligence also did not respond to requests for comment on this article.) And last week it was reported that the Obama administration appears to be expanding "its covert program of training and assistance for the Syrian opposition." However, despite all this speculation, little is known about how this supposed Jordanian camp works, who trains there, and what tactics they learn.
I recently tracked down a fighter who said he'd completed the course and was willing to talk.
"Mortar cannons and anti-tank missiles like the Red Arrow SPG-9 were new to me,” said the CIA trained Arab.
"Fighter A" is from Daraa, just a stone’s throw from the Jordanian border in southern Syria. He was in high school when the revolution twisted into civil war, and his plans to study law were set aside for a Kalashnikov; he joined the FSA at just 18 years old.
One day last May, when Fighter A was 19, he was taken aside and given some good news. “I was selected by the brigade commander to go to training camp,” he said. “I was told we would be trained on heavy weapons and anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles.” But he didn’t know exactly what to expect. “I had heard of military camps taking place, but I didn’t know where and when.”
The next morning, Fighter A and 39 other young men like him headed south into Jordan, their journey jointly choreographed by Daraa’s FSA military council and, allegedly, Jordanian intelligence. Mobile phones were confiscated, to be returned at the end of camp. No questions were asked. These men were going off the grid.
When the group finally arrived at a high-security military facility deep in the Jordanian desert, Fighter A found the last thing he expected: Americans.
“I was surprised when I saw foreign trainers,” he said. “The Americans who taught us wore military uniforms I did not recognize. We called them by their first names, and they spoke English to us.”
Weapons instruction was at the heart of the program. Recruits were trained on Kalashnikovs, light machine guns, cannon mortars, anti-tank mines, and Red Arrow SPG-9 unguided anti-tank missiles. This teaching beefed up Fighter A’s light- and medium-arms skills and introduced him to heavy weapons he hadn’t previously used. “Before the camp I used a Kalashnikov and light machine guns, and at the camp I was trained to shoot faster and more accurately. Mortar cannons and anti-tank missiles like the Red Arrow SPG-9 were new to me.”
Fighter A and his fellow recruits were each given $500 and sent back to Syria.

The U.S. intends to build up its military presence in Jordan in an attempt to exert more control over the current situations in Syria and Lebanon, a political analyst tells Press TV.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel approved the deployment of Patriot missiles and F-16 fighter jets to Jordan.
The weapons from the US will be used in the upcoming “Eager Lion” military training drill but may stay in the Kingdom to bolster its security to prevent a spillover of the violence from Syria.
Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani confirmed the report.
“The government acknowledges that the US is sending Patriot missiles and F-16 jets to Jordan. This is the result of continuous discussions over the last few weeks,” Momani told The Jordan Times over the phone.
“The U.S. has continued to build its military capability in Jordan… Under the guise of a humanitarian operation, the United States is putting full combat command inside Jordan,” said Gordon Duff in a Sunday interview with Press TV.
“One of the reasons behind this is not only the issue in Syria, but the increasing meltdown that’s being orchestrated within Lebanon,” he noted says Worldpress.
The analyst argued that the U.S. is considering a military role in the region, as Israel has no capability to operate in Lebanon again.
In early February, Jordanian media reported that a U.S. airplane loaded with weapons and ammunition planned to reach the foreign-backed militants operating in Syria landed in the Mafraq Airport, some 80 kilometers north of the capital, Amman.
It has also been disclosed that a new group of 1,500 gunmen have completed training in a center in Jordan for fighting in Syria and are now ready to join thousands of other rebels in the war-torn country.
In January, U.S. security officials disclosed news on the secret endorsement of a bill by Congress to fund weapons shipments to the opposition in Syria through Jordan.
The weapons, including a variety of small arms, as well as some more powerful weapons, such as anti-tank rockets, is flowing to what the U.S. calls the “moderate” militants fighting in the south of the country.

Frustrated by the deadlock of the second round of Geneva 2 talks, Saudi Arabia has reportedly offered to supply the rebels with anti-aircraft missiles. Meanwhile Russia has accused the US of once again hijacking peace talks and pushing for regime change.
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Russian-made antitank guided missiles and Chinese man-portable air-defense systems are up for grabs, already waiting in warehouses in Jordan and Turkey.
An Arab diplomat and several opposition figures with knowledge of the Saudi efforts have told WSJ that these supplies are likely to tip the battlefield scales, as the rebels will become capable of taking on the government’s air power and destroying heavy armored vehicles reports RT News.
“New stuff is arriving imminently,” a Western diplomat with knowledge of the planned weapons deliveries told the American publication.

Leaders of the Syrian opposition said they don't yet know the total amount of military aid that will be shipped. The new weapons are expected to reach southern Syria from Jordan while the opposition in the north will get arms from Turkey, the Western diplomat said.
Raising fears that civilian aircraft may eventually become targets, last June several media outlets suggested that Saudi Arabia had already begun supplying anti-aircraft launchers and missiles to militants in Syria. But so far Saudi Arabia, as well as the US, has been officially opposed to arming the rebels with big guns and antiaircraft missiles as they could fall into extremist hands.
Mercenaries on US payroll?
The Wall Street Journal also reports that their rebel sources claimed the US government is paying their salaries to fight the Assad forces. The Southern Front brigades allegedly received $3 million in cash in salaries during the two meetings in Jordan, one held on January 30 and the other late last year.
Meanwhile, congressional aides told the WSJ about scheduled meetings with Syrian opposition leaders next week. The Syrian delegation will allegedly seek extra armaments in order to battle al-Qaeda and al-Nusra elements.
“We're trying to assure the international community that they can support moderates without the threat of arms falling into the hands of al-Qaeda,” said Oubai Shahbandar, a senior adviser to the Syrian opposition. Saudi Arabia and US have so far refused to comment.

Police State - The Jordanian government said that it had blocked 254 unlicensed news websites, 16 of them in the previous two days, using powers under a 2012 law criticised as a threat to freedom of expression.
Fayez Shawabkeh, head of the Press and Publication Department said: "16 local news websites were blocked in the past two days after carefully examining their situation.
"This brings the total number of sites the PPD blocked recently to 254, while 111 sites have obtained licences."
On June 3, authorities said they would block nearly 300 out of 400 local news websites "for failing to obtain the necessary licensing," under last year's controversial legislation reports France 24 News.
The law gave the government powers to regulate "electronic publications," requiring them to register with the PPD and obtain a licence.
It stipulates that the chief editors of news websites must be members of the Jordan Press Association, giving the government the right to censor content and hold journalists liable for comments posted on webpages.
The PPD has insisted "the decision does not seek to restrict freedoms," and that "the objective is to organise the work of these websites."
"I call on all local news websites to correct their status in line with the law. Operating outside the law, which we will continue to apply, will not be in their interest," Shawabkeh warned.
Journalists accuse the government of seeking to control who can publish news.
One of the sites blocked in the past two days is 7iber, Arabic for "ink".
Its editor, Lina Ejeilat, told AFP 7iber was an interactive website that published reports and features from contributors, and said it should not be covered by the legialation.
"We are a blog and definitely not a news website," she said.
Shawabkeh disagreed, saying that "7iber is registered at the trade and industry ministry as a news website and posts news and political analyses about Jordan, which means that the law applies to it".
The PPD's decision drew renewed criticism of Jordan from international human rights watchdogs, as well as from journalists, activists and the main opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, who saw it as an attempt to impose censorship.

(From Debka File, Israel) - A large American military force disembarked Tuesday, June 4, at the southern Jordanian port of Aqaba - ready for deployment on the kingdom’s Syrian border, debkafile’s exclusive military sources report. The force made its way north along the Aqaba-Jerash-Ajilon mountain road bisecting Jordan from south to north, under heavy Jordanian military escort.
Our sources disclose that this American force numbers 1,000 troops, (WND now bumps up this number to 4,500 US troops.) the largest to land in Jordan since the Syrian civil war erupted in March 2012. They are members of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Force carried aboard the USS Kearsage amphibious assault ship, which has been anchored off neighboring Israeli Eilat since mid-May. Upon landing, the marines took to the road in a convoy of armored vehicles including Hummers reports the Debka File.

Washington and Amman have imposed a blackout on their arrival. The Pentagon has only let it be known that the annual joint US-Jordanian “Eager Lion 2013” military exercise is due to begin later in June and last two months, with the participation of US F-16 fighter jets and Patriot missile defense systems.
According to our US sources, the arrival of the US force in Jordan was not directly related to the regular exercise but decided on at an emergency meeting at the Pentagon on May 31, which was attended by top military and civilian Defense Department officials. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, who is away from Washington, took part by video conference.
The meeting decided that the military situation evolving in Syria and threats it posed to Jordan – including widening evidence of chemical weapons use in Syria - were urgent enough to warrant the dispatch of extra American military strength to Jordan, over and above the contingents participating in the joint exercise. The Israeli Air Force will provide air cover for the force until the F-16 jets are in place for the drill.
The US Central Command spokesman Lt. Col. T.G. Taylor in a statement to the US media said only: “In order to enhance the defensive posture and capacity of Jordan, some of these assets may remain beyond the exercise at the request of the government of Jordan.”

Constitution? What Constitution? Caesar Obama moves troops from the 1st Armored Division to Jordan
The U.S. is already arming and funding the Islamist Syrian rebels through American allies Islamist Turkey and Islamist Saudi Arabia. Now Caesar Obama is putting boots on the ground just miles from the Syrian border.
Both Democrats and Republicans are stunningly silent about the Constitution and the role Congress must play in a declaration of war.
The Pentagon is sending about 200 troops to Jordan, the vanguard of a potential U.S. military force of 20,000 or more that could be deployed if the Caesar Obama administration decides to intervene in Syria to secure chemical weapons arsenals or to prevent the 2-year-old civil war from spilling into neighboring nations.
Troops from the 1st Armored Division will establish a small headquarters near Jordan's border with Syria to help deliver humanitarian supplies for a growing flood of refugees and to plan for possible military operations, including a rapid buildup of American forces if the White House decides intervention is necessary, senior U.S. officials said.
Although the Pentagon has sent Patriot missile batteries to Turkey and several dozen U.S. troops already are in Jordan to assist with aid flights and other operations, the move marks the first deployment that Pentagon officials explicitly described as a possible step toward direct military involvement in Syria reports the Los Angeles Times.
The 1st Armored Division is going to Jordan. Call me "crazy" but isn't armor usually used for an invasion? Syria is not invading Jordan so one must conclude American armor would be used to invade Syria, perhaps to help the Islamist rebels.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, who disclosed the deployment Wednesday in testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, made clear that both he and President Obama remained deeply wary of intervening in Syria just as U.S. forces are trying to withdraw from 12 years of war in Afghanistan.
But U.S. officials say they have stepped up preparations because the Syrian civil war shows few signs of abating, and a political settlement that includes the departure of President Bashar Assad appears increasingly unlikely.
"Military intervention is always an option, but it should be an option of last resort," Hagel said. He warned that a major deployment could "embroil the U.S. in a significant, lengthy and uncertain military commitment."
Forces loyal to Assad hold power in Damascus, the Syrian capital, and control large parts of other major cities. Rebel militias have made gains near the Turkish border in the north and in southern Dara province near Jordan.
The willingness of Jordan's King Abdullah II to accept even a small number of U.S. troops reflects the growing concern about the spillover effects of the Syrian bloodletting.
Jordan is one of Washington's closest allies in the region, but it has no U.S. bases and has never allowed a sizable U.S. military presence, fearful it would spark domestic unrest.
Even during the 2003 American-led invasion of Iraq, which Jordan supported, the presence of U.S. special operations forces entering Iraq from Jordan was a closely held secret.
If the Assad regime collapses, the "civil affairs teams" might be sent into Syria to help restore services and security. But optimistic predictions that the U.S. could quickly restore order in Iraq after the 2003 invasion proved illusory, a lesson that many in the Pentagon have not forgotten.

Comrade Obama has quietly unblocked almost $500 million in aid to the
Palestinian Authority which had been frozen by Congress for months, a top US
official said Friday.
The news that the funds had finally been freed up came after US
President Barack Obama met top Israeli and Palestinian leaders in a landmark
visit to Israel and the West Bank earlier this week.
The Obama administration also notified Congress in late
February that it was seeking a further $200 million to fund US Agency for
International Development (USAID) programs for the Palestinians, she said.
The first sum comprises some $195.7 million, allocated under the 2012 fiscal
year budget for USAID economic, development and humanitarian assistance, as well
as a further $100 million earmarked specifically for narcotics control.

The Palestinian Authority is facing its worst economic crisis in years,
in part because of a failure by donors to deliver pledged funds. But its
finances were plunged further into chaos after president Mahmud Abbas won
upgraded UN observer status at the UN General Assembly in late November.

Obama pledges $200 million to Jordan
President Barack Obama said he and King Abdullah II haven’t reached an answer about what to do on Syria, but he promised $200 million in new humanitarian aid Friday to help the government here manage the influx of hundreds of thousands of refugees from Bashar Assad’s regime who’ve entered the country reports Politico.
“I am very concerned about Syria becoming an enclave for extremism. Because extremists thrive in chaos, they thrive in failed states, they thrive in power vacuums,” Obama said during his joint news conference with the Jordanian leader. “They don’t have much to offer when it comes to actually building things.”

$250 Million in U.S. Aid for Islamist Egypt
Comrade Secretary of State John Kerry announced Sunday that the United States would provide $250 million in assistance to Egypt.
The aid consists of two parts. One is a $190 million infusion for Egypt’s budget intended to address what Mr. Kerry said was the country’s “extreme needs.” That assistance has already been approved by Congress reports the New York Times.
Mr. Kerry also pledged $60 million for the creation of a fund to support small businesses, which will provide “direct support to key engines of democratic change in Egypt, including Egypt’s entrepreneurs and its young people.”
