Georgia congresswoman-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene received a massive influx of negative responses to a tweet she wrote, claiming that masks were "oppressive," including some backlash from stars like Kathy Griffin and George Takei.

On Friday afternoon, Greene tweeted that she attended a new member orientation, which discussed the COVID pandemic for incoming members of Congress. It appears she had some issue with discussions regarding masks.

"I proudly told my freshman class that masks are oppressive. In GA, we work out, shop, go to restaurants, go to work, and school without masks. My body, my choice," she wrote.

‘Wuhan Plague’ Plaques Placed Around Atlanta

(Gateway Pundit)  -  Plaques reading “Wuhan Plague” and featuring Winnie the Pooh holding a bat with chopsticks began popping up all over Atlanta this month, and the liberal media is outraged by the satire.

Police have no leads about the street artist responsible for the gold and teal plaques that first began appearing in the city on April 13.

Vice News reports that the “racist” plaques “first appeared April 13 on an electrical box in Inman Park, according to Atlanta police. Another appeared three days later at a coffee shop in the neighborhood of Reynoldstown. 

The most recent incident occurred on April 18 at Atlanta’s Candler Park Market.” They accuse the street artist of “overt racism” — apparently for mocking Chinese Prime Minister Xi Jinping.

Winnie the Pooh beame associated with Jingping in 2013, when memes comparing the leader to the bear went viral on social media. The Communist leader was so outraged by the mockery that he banned Winnie the Pooh images in the nation.

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Organizers of a meeting to discuss an upcoming mayoral race in Georgia barred reporters from attending - unless they were African-American.

The Wednesday meeting at a church in Savannah was held to try to unite the city’s black community behind a single candidate for mayor in the Nov. 5 election. Signs at the door said “Black Press Only!”

White reporters were denied entry, while at least two black reporters and the publisher of a local African-American newspaper were allowed inside, the Savannah Morning News reported. Television cameras and recording devices were also prohibited.

The newspaper said the Rev. Clarence Teddy Williams, who organized the meeting, declined to discuss the entry policy.

Mayor Eddie DeLoach is seeking re-election this fall. He became Savannah’s first white mayor in 20 years after winning the 2015 campaign. Elections for Savannah’s top office are nonpartisan, meaning all candidates who qualify end up on the November ballot.

A pair of Georgia Democrat lawmakers are planning to introduce a bill that would require men to call police when they ejaculate, and classify unprotected sex as “aggravated assault” on the men’s part.

State Reps. Dar’shun Kendrick, of Lithonia, and Park Cannon, of Atlanta are putting forward a “testicular bill of rights” in protest of Georgia’s House passing a bill preventing abortions once a heartbeat is detected in the womb.

“Introducing my ‘testicular bill of rights’ legislative package. You want some regulation of bodies and choice? Done!” Kendrick tweeted on Monday.

Kendrick and Cannon’s bill would “require men who are age 55 and older to ‘immediately report to the county sheriff or local law enforcement agency’ when he ‘releases sperm from his testicles,'” reported The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“This bill helps men who are well past reproductive age to self report when they willfully engage in conception,” Cannon said.

The measure would require a men to obtain permission from their sexual partners before obtaining any prescriptions for erectile dysfunction medication.

Additionally, it would outlaw vasectomy procedures, require a “24 hour waiting period” to buy sex toys or pornography, and mandate DNA tests to determine the father at six weeks into a pregnancy.

The move is a political ploy as it has little chance of passing Georgia’s House or Senate.

This bill and the pro-life bill passed by the Georgia House are in stark contrast with each other, as Bill 481’s goal is to protect the lives of unborn babies, whereas this bill simply limits the rights of men in a belittling fashion.

(Campus Reform)  -  An environmental group in Athens, Georgia is demanding that the University of Georgia ban Chick-Fil-A from campus, calling the fast food restaurant chain an "industrial, white supremacist, imperialist, capitalist cult."

Athens EarthStrike, some of whose members also belong to the Athens Young Democratic Socialists of America student group, which describes itself as the official chapter of YDSA Athens and the University of Georgia, is targeting Chick-fil-A for its use of non-compostable packaging and is further claiming that the chicken chain uses unsustainably-sourced poultry, according to the student publication The Red & Black. 

The group also claimed that “capitalist cults” of Chick-Fil-A and the Georgia poultry farms “as a whole exemplify violence," the group told Campus Reform.

"The industrial, white supremacist, imperialist, capitalist cults of Chick-fil-a and the Georgia poultry farms as a whole exemplify violence," Athens EarthStrike told Campus Reform. 

"One of the major poultry suppliers for Chick-fil-a is Koch. Koch targets the most vulnerable people in our immigrant communities to work as employees. Factories are built in low-income communities of color. These jobs are demoralizing, difficult and pollute the environment around them leaving communities in even worse living conditions."

“We are targeting Chick-Fil-A because it is a central corporation in GA’s economy and we think that it can do better if the people buying its products demand action,” Earth Strike told Campus Reform. “Chick-Fil-A has made some strides in sustainability, but the company is short-sighted at best. While they plan to transition to antibiotic-free chickens raised in barns rather than cages, this is little more than a cheap marketing ploy."

Judge says Georgia elections at risk but rules against paper ballots

(AJC)  -  Georgia voters will continue to use touchscreens to cast their ballots this fall, perhaps for the last time.

A federal judge found a “concrete risk” that Georgia’s electronic voting system is vulnerable to tampering, but she ruled against a quick switch to paper ballots less than four weeks before early voting begins for November’s election.

U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg late Monday denied a motion from election integrity advocates who asked her to force the state’s 6.8 million registered voters to use hand-marked paper ballots instead of direct-recording electronic (DRE) voting machines.

Totenberg scolded state election officials who “had buried their heads in the sand” by failing to safeguard Georgia’s voting system. She allowed the state to continue using electronic voting machines because a rushed transition to paper ballots could frustrate voters with “bureaucratic confusion and long lines.”

Her decision ensures that Georgia’s 27,000 touchscreen machines will remain in place for the election for governor between Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp, who is responsible for overseeing elections. In-person early voting starts Oct. 15, and Election Day is Nov. 6.

“The state defendants have also stood by for far too long, given the mounting tide of evidence of the inadequacy and security risks of Georgia’s DRE voting system and software,” Totenberg wrote in her 46-page order. “The court is gravely concerned about the state’s pace in responding to the serious vulnerabilities of its voting system.”

(Newswars)  -  Officers will no longer respond to shoplifting calls uptown, announced the Atlanta Police Chief.

“You can only do so much,” Erika Shields told local media. “We are going to change how we handle shoplifting calls, and primarily – for the most part – we will not be responding to them.”

“Every time we make a shoplifting arrest, that officer is out of service sixty to ninety minutes. It’s not acceptable.”

The decision is based on staff shortages of over 300 officers have prompted the Atlanta police to abandon shoplifting calls to focus more on serious crimes such as carjackings, rapes, and murders will better serve the city.

“Personally, I am not going to feel comfortable going to shop,” said Bucktown resident Roslyn Smith.

“It will alter my shopping habits if this does become a reality. Not feeling comfortable that I can enter a store without potentially my purse being grabbed.”

Shields stressed that retailers can still employ private security and prosecute shoplifting offenders.

(The Smoking Gun)  -  A horse trainer is locked up on a felony animal cruelty charge after Georgia cops obtained video showing him force-feeding a goat cocaine and whiskey. 

Deputies with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office yesterday arrested Sergio Palomares-Guzman, 28, at the farm in the city of Grayson where he lives and works.

Pictured at right, Palomares-Guzman is being held in the county jail in lieu of $11,200 bond. However, he is also subject to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer, apparently due to his status as an alien.

Palomares-Guzman was busted after a tipster provided investigators with a video “featuring Palomares-Guzman holding the goat’s horns while a second male suspect inserted cocaine" into the animal’s nostril. Palomares-Guzman then allegedly opened the goat’s mouth and poured whiskey inside.

Palomares-Guzman shared video of the January incident, which can be seen above. Two other male suspects remain unidentified, though deputies believe they reside in North Carolina.

The goat, which Palomares-Guzman owned, “received a veterinary exam and was given a clean bill of health,” according to a sheriff’s spokesperson. The animal, seen at left, is now available for adoption via the Gwinnett County animal shelter.

It is fact that the GOP believes in:

• The GOP wants open borders in order to export middle class jobs
• The GOP fully funds the 1984 Police Surveillance State
• They fund every government program ever created by a Democrat
• They ring up trillions in new debt etc. etc. etc.

Looking Venezuela I guess a GOP non-Marxist is kinda, sorta better than a True Believer Democrat Marxist, but it sure is a Hell of a close call.

American elections are basically a tug of war between the supporters of Karl Marx and the supporters of Big Brother.

So what will we get from this new GOP Congresswoman from Georgia?

I suspect she will follow the party line of all the above and more.  The march to 1984 will continue.

FORT STEWART, Ga. (AP) — Before citizen-soldiers of the 48th Infantry Brigade deployed to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Georgia National Guard troops spent months training away from their families and day jobs as they prepared for war. Now a shrinking Army wants them able to get ready for combat sooner.

The brigade's 4,200 soldiers are the first of 13 National Guard and Army Reserve units nationwide chosen to test a new role that pairs them with commanders on active-duty who will oversee their training.

The Pentagon hopes the change will make the Guard and Reserve troops better prepared to fight overseas at a time when the Army has roughly 100,000 fewer full-time soldiers than it did at the height of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"We're still a National Guard unit, but we're hopefully maintaining a high level of training," said Col. Reginald Neal, the 48th Brigade's commander and a former school teacher and administrator.

A few hundred of the brigade's citizen-soldiers — who work as police officers and engineers, attorneys and truck drivers in their day jobs — attended a ceremony Friday at Fort Stewart in which the Guard soldiers stripped the brigade's lightning bolt insignia from their left shoulders and replaced it with the diagonally striped square patch of their new active-duty partner, the 3rd Infantry Division.

Though they still typically train one weekend each month — a schedule not expected to change in their new role — the 48th Brigade's soldiers long ago shed the National Guard's old weekend warrior stereotype.

The brigade deployed alongside 3rd Infantry units to spend a year fighting in Iraq in 2005, followed by a yearlong tour in Afghanistan in 2009. The citizen-soldiers paid their dues in blood. In all, 34 Georgia guardsmen were killed during the two deployments.

"This isn't that crazy of a thing we're doing here," said Maj. Gen. Jim Rainey, commander of the 3rd Infantry, who noted the shared history between his division and the Georgia Guard unit. "We've trained together, we've fought together, and sadly we've bled together."

Georgia cop fired for flying Confederate flag at her house

(AJC.com)  -  A Roswell police sergeant who was fired from her job this month for flying the Confederate battle flag in front of her house is appealing her termination and said Tuesday she had no idea the flag was controversial.

In an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, former police sergeant Silvia Cotriss said she had been flying the battle flag below the American flag in front of her Woodstock house for more than a year with no complaints from neighbors or passersby.

So she was surprised the week of July 11, when detectives with the department’s internal affairs division notified her that she was being investigated for conduct unbecoming an officer on or off duty.

“If I knew it offended someone, my friends, my family, I wouldn’t do it,” Cotriss told the AJC. “Police officers have to adjust a lot of things in our lives, and for 20 years my whole life has been about making change and being held to a higher standard. We take an oath to help and protect people, so we can’t have a private life that’s really bad.”

Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant declined Tuesday to comment on the case.

“We don’t comment on personnel issues,” Grant said. “The (personnel) file stands as it is.”

Cotriss’ case file, obtained by the AJC, outlines the case of the 53-year-old, 20-year veteran of the Roswell Police Department. Cotriss rose through the ranks in the suburban force of 200 employees. For years she received commendations for her work from civilians, peers and supervisors, for everything from helping a man with dementia get home to his wife, to helping someone whose car battery had died.

(World Net Daily)  -  It’s been two weeks since an Atlanta-area mother and her daughter were attacked at their home by a burqa-clad Muslim woman who stole the American flag from their front yard and charged at them, swinging the flagpole at the mother’s head.

The family says their lives have been turned upside down by the attack, and they don’t go anywhere now unless armed. Two weeks later, they say they’re still waiting for answers from their local police chief and the FBI.

Who attacked them and why?

Dami Arno and her husband, Jimmy of Lawrenceville, Georgia, told WND they are now wondering whether justice will ever be served.

And they want to know why Dami’s attacker – a woman believed to be an immigrant from Somalia – is not being charged with a hate crime. They also want to know why their attacker’s immigration status is being guarded like a state secret while they, the victims, are being ignored by authorities.

Dami and Jimmy Arno said the Lawrenceville police officer who responded to the May 31 incident told them he could not remove the assailant’s burqa “because that would violate her civil rights.”

It seems, the Arnos told WND, that the immigrant has more “rights” than they do as Americans who were the victim of an attack for no other reason than that the Muslim woman apparently didn’t like the large American flag flying from their mailbox.

All that is known about the female attacker is her name, and even that has changed over the course of the last two weeks.

Amina Ali Ahra, 30, emerged from the woods behind the Arnos’ home on the morning after Memorial Day as Dami Arno and her daughter were drinking coffee and chatting in their garage. The woman, standing about 6-foot-3 and dressed in a burqa, came out of the woods with only her eyes showing from behind the veil.

Ahra snatched the family’s flag off of their mailbox and used the pole as if it were a police night stick. She swung the four-foot pole made of PVC pipe wildly toward Dami’s head but missed.

“She came charging at me swinging it back and forth, actually coming toward my head with the flagpole, and I grabbed the pole and yanked it and was able to get control of her. And my daughter said I had her in a headlock,” said Dami Arno, a 42-year-old stay-at-home mother of two. “I could not believe what was happening, but at some point my mother instincts kicked in.

“My husband is a mechanic, and I work right beside him doing pretty much everything he does, and that’s made me very, very strong,” she added. “I thank God every day now that my husband has taught me and my kids to defend ourselves.”

The Muslim woman did not utter a word during the assault, said Arno, who was left with bruises on her arms.

Now WND has learned that another woman in the neighborhood was approached the night before by a woman in a burqa. She was afraid and ran into her house but did not report the stranger in the small, two-street neighborhood because she feared she would be considered a “racist.”

Since the attack, Jimmy Arno said he has twice called Lawrenceville Police Chief Randy Johnson, trying to set up a meeting in which the chief could provide information on his wife’s attacker. The chief has yet to call him back, he said.

Ahra was charged with two counts of simple battery and giving false information to police. She apparently lied about her name and address in the initial interviews.

“I called the chief the day it happened, as soon as I got off work and left him a message. My wife friended his wife on Facebook, and we left her a message on Facebook,” Jimmy Arno told WND. “I told him we didn’t like the charges that were filed, and I think more charges are warranted, and I want a call back. He still hasn’t called.”

A local officer told Arno the case was turned over to the FBI for possible hate-crime charges. An agent named Chuck Campo was “look into” the case, but no one from the FBI has contacted the family to interview them about what happened.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (Fox News) - A family in Lawrenceville said they were attacked by a total stranger just because they were flying an American Flag.

Amina Ahra, 30, was arrested on two counts of simple battery after being accused of attacking a mother and daughter at their home. 

Dami Arno told police she was in the garage talking with her when she said Ahra came out of the woods wearing a full Burka, grabbed the flag from off the mailbox and charged at them.

In a Facebook post, Arno expressed frustration that Ibrahim is not
facing a hate crime charge. “A muslim women tore my flag pole
down this morning and attacked me and my daughter with it after
the fight she was charged with simple battery 2 counts
nothing else no hate crime no destruction of property no
criminal trespassing nothing,” Arno wrote.

She said she still cannot believe it all happened on American soil.

“A lady walked out of our woods in a full Burka, full attire, stares at us for a minute, then grabs my American flag off of my mailbox and charges towards us with it, just swinging it with all her might,“ the wife and mother said.

"When she came charging , it was kinda like momma bear Instincts kicked in . She had to protect her children's daughter Brittany Arno said.

Arno said when Ahra grabbed the flag; the two women began to fight. That is when Arno's 17-year-old daughter jumped in and her 14-year-old son grabbed the family gun.

Neighbors also ran to help and held Ahra down until Lawrenceville Police arrived.

"I have friends who have fought and died for the red, white and blue. When she took it down, it was not disrespect, it was not a slap in the face, it was a punch to the gut," said Arno.

Ahra remained in the Gwinnett County Adult Detention Center as of Wednesday evening.

Black ACLU leader quits over transgender bathrooms

A Mom Dares to Protect Her Children

(Powerline)  -  Maya Dillard Smith, interim director of the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, has resigned over the ACLU’s position on who can use which public restrooms. The resignation occurred after her two daughters were traumatized by encountering men in the women’s restroom. Dillard Smith explained:

I have shared my personal experience of having taken my elementary school age daughters into a women’s restroom when shortly after three transgender young adults, over six feet [tall] with deep voices, entered. My children were visibly frightened, concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer.

Dillard Smith complained that the ACLU has become “a special interest organization that promotes not all, but certain progressive rights” and that the “hierarchy of rights” the ACLU chooses to defend or ignore is “based on who is funding the organization’s lobbying activities.” Further expressing her disillusionment, Dillard Smith stated:

I understood it to be the ACLU’s goal to delicately balance competing rights to ensure that any infringements are narrowly tailored, that they do not create a hierarchy of rights, and that we are mindful of unintended consequences. I believe there are solutions that can provide accommodations for transgender people and balance the need to ensure women and girls are safe from those who might have malicious intent.

Unfortunately, as she has learned, Dillard Smith’s view of the ACLU bears little relation to reality. The ACLU’s goal — like that of the LGBT movement — is to shove a radical agenda down the throats of the American people, not to balance rights and find reasonable accommodations.

A transgender activist — a biological male who goes by the name Cheryl Courtney-Evans — responded to Dillard Smith’s resignation by calling her “lazy,” “ill-educated,” and a “b–ch” who needs to sit down and “STFU.” No one who has seen LGBT activists in action will be surprised by this charming response.

Actually, Dillard Smith is well educated. She earned a degree in economics from Berkeley and a master’s degree at Harvard.

She’s also a liberal Democrat. And until she resigned, she was one of the youngest ACLU directors in the nation and one of only three African-Americans employed by the ACLU in that role.

These days, one hears intelligent people assert that the “culture war” is over. It isn’t, and won’t be soon, because the left will keep looking for new cultural battlegrounds. Today, public restrooms; tomorrow, the world.

GOP Governor vetoed bill limiting spying on the American people

It staggers me how few so-called "Conservatives"

understand the Bill of Rights.

ATLANTA (Tenth Amendment Center)  –  Georgia GOP Gov. Nathan Deal vetoed a bill that would have placed minimal limitations on warrantless drone surveillance in the state.

Rep. Kevin Tanner (R-Dawsonville) and a bipartisan coalition of five cosponsors introduced House Bill 779 (HB779) in January. The legislation would have required a warrant before police could engage in drone surveillance in some situations. It would have also banned the use of weaponsized drones.

The bill also included provisions that would have limited retention and sharing of data obtained by drones.

HB779 had problematic language from the start. The warrant requirement only applied to “gathering evidence or other information in a private place or of an individual in a private place.” This would have allowed police to track and record people in any public area. 

This becomes  particularly problematic due to the flexible definition of “private.” In some cases, courts have held anything visible through a window without curtains is considered “public.” The legislation would have left it up to law enforcement to determine what constitutes “private.” In practice, the bill would have required a warrant in only a limited number of situations.

In the meantime, police can utilize drones in George with absolutely no limits at all.While the legislation wasn’t as robust as we would hope, it would have been a good first step. 

Even minimal restrictions on drone surveillance are better than the status quo – police using drones whenever, wherever and however they want. This includes loading them up with lethal weapons.
