Rep. Mike Rogers spreads lies to defend a 1984 Police State

Lying Sack Of Crap Department
It is pricks like Rogers that drove me out of the GOP and
made me an Independent Constitutional Federalist.
Members attending the South Carolina Tea Party’s annual convention were told contrary to popular belief Hispanics do not want to embrace socialism and the failed liberal policies they left behind in their home countries – rather they are ready to embrace conservative values, but it is up to the tea party to educate them.
The South Carolina Tea Party is streaming its annual convention in both English and Spanish this weekend.

Police State loving House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R - Mich.) was invited to spew his Bullshit on Sunday's NBC "Meet the Press".  Rogers' moronic ramblings were never challenged by the Big Brother loving network.  I guess that is my job.

Rogers threw out that National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden had "outside help", perhaps from Russian spies.  This is the perfect BS lie because it is totally un-provable and Rogers naturally offered no proof of any kind.

  • Rogers:  "This was a thief, who we believe had some help, who stole information the vast majority had nothing to do with privacy. Our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines have been incredibly harmed by the data that he has taken with him and we believe now is in the hands of nation-states."

MY  RESPONSE - Don't tell us what you believe, show us the proof ass-hole.  The fucking Islamist terrorists already know we are spying on them.  Do you think they didn't notice drones targeting their leaders?  Also, if terrorists were the target then why were you tapping the phone of the German Chancellor or reading the emails of Brazil's state oil company?

  • Rogers added that he "believe[s] there's a reason he ended up in the hands, the loving arms, of an FSB agent in Moscow. I don't think that's a coincidence."

MY  RESPONSE  -  Snowden fled to Hong Kong ass-wipe.  Not Russia.  But your buddy Comrade Obama threatened every nation on earth and Snowden ended getting stuck in the Russian airport unable to escape the talons of Big Brother.

Tech Dirt Review reports it would appear that Mike Rogers' wife stands to benefit quite a lot from the passage of CISPA, and has helped in the push to get the bill passed. It's somewhat amazing that no one has really covered this part of the story, but it highlights, yet again, the kind of activities by folks in Congress that make the public trust Congress less and less.

The $1.2 billion surveillance data center in Utah that is 15 times the size of MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Giants and Jets.  In May, crews broke ground on a $792 million computing center at the agency’s headquarters near Baltimore that will complement the Utah site. Together the Utah center and Maryland’s 28-acre computer farm span 228 acres—more than seven times the size of the Pentagon.

Four years ago, the stated purpose of the megaplex near Salt Lake City was to amass foreign intelligence and warnings about hackers. Officials described it as an extension of President George W. Bush’s 2008 Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative, a largely classified, cross-agency program to protect U.S. computer networks against adversaries.

Today, it is evident the data plantation will not be linked to any one program. Instead, the systems inside will warehouse counterterrorism information collected in aggregate, including millions of Americans’ phone logs for five years and certain foreigners’ online messages, NSA officials confirm.
