Guatemalan President offered to deport illegals - Biden refused

National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said Monday that Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei offered President Biden a chance to deport migrants before they even got into Mexico, but Biden refused.

He said that Border Patrol agents aren’t even patrolling the southwest border anymore, because they’ve all been assigned to “administration duties.”

“This administration is clearly set on allowing this to continue. A very disturbing report came out today that the president of Guatemala offered president Biden a chance to deport these individuals before they even got into Mexico, let alone the United States,” he told Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto.”

“The president of Guatemala said, ‘All you have to do is provide us with planes, and we will deport them back,’ taking the burden off the United States altogether if we would have done that, but, this is something that the Biden administration has continued to refuse. All solutions, every single one of them that have been presented to this administration, they continue to refuse to implement — no new policies, no new programs,” he said.

(Daily Mail)  -  Migrants clashed with Mexican troops on a bridge at the Guatemalan border on Saturday, as hundreds of guards also lined the banks of the river to prevent further crossings there.   

Thousands of Central American migrants tried to push their way across a bridge spanning the Suchiate River between Mexico and Guatemala. 

Honduran migrants waved their country's flag and sang the national anthem as they approached the bridge. At the height of the confrontation, Guatemalan authorities estimated 2,500 migrants were on the bridge, or attempting to get on it. 

Scuffles briefly broke out as a group of several hundred mostly Honduran migrants pressed forward to cross, only to be pushed back by security forces.

Scores of people who entered Guatemala from Honduras in recent days have been arriving at the Mexican border, with the bulk of them still advancing in a larger caravan, testing the resolve of Mexico to heed US demands to contain migrant flows. 

Hundreds of guardsmen lined the river to prevent migrants from crossing into Mexico clandestinely. The voice on the loudspeaker warned, over and over, that those aiming to transit through Mexico may not be granted asylum in the U.S., even if they make it there. 

Amid shoves, Mexican officials did allow a few migrants to enter the country in groups of 20, while a voice over a loudspeaker warned migrants against trying to slip into Mexico without passing through immigration filters. 

Mexico again finds itself in the role of immigration enforcer as Central Americans desperate for a better life try to make their way north, while Mexico's biggest trade partner - the United States -insists that Mexico prevent those migrants from reaching the U.S. border. 

President Donald Trump has threatened to hurt Mexico and Central American countries economically if they allow large groups to reach the United States border, and the latest exodus from Honduras has been accompanied by US border agents.

On Friday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador offered 4,000 jobs to members of the caravan in an attempt to dissuade them from traveling on to the United States. 

Guatemalan authorities say around 4,000 people have arrived in the country in the last few days, the biggest surge since Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador signed accords with the United States that increase pressure on them to deal with migrants.

After waiting on a bridge at the Guatemalan border town of Tecun Uman, some migrants began pushing and shoving before being driven back by Mexican security officials, who shut the border crossing and sought to calm the group.

African Migrant Caravan Stopped by Mexican Troops

Mexican authorities stopped a caravan of about 2,000 migrants heading north for the United States, the latest action by their government to crack down on illegal immigration.

In the southern Mexican city of Tapachula, a caravan of Central American, Caribbean, and African migrants embarked on foot for the U.S. on Saturday morning. After traveling for about 20 miles, however, they were greeted by hundreds of National Guardsmen and federal police blocking both sides of the highway, according to The Associated Press.

The authorities, decked out in tactical vests and helmets, were able to detain most members of the caravan and chased down others who attempted to flee, placing them onto buses back south to Tapachula. Many other migrants walked back on foot.

The chief of Customs and Border Protection touted the event as a sign that collaboration between the U.S. and Mexico is helping control the immigration crisis.

Mexico: Guards deployed at southern border after Trump migrant deal

(Infowars)  -  New video from Mexico’s border with Guatemala shows a chaotic scene as scores of officers with the Federal Police and National Guard detain dozens of African men in Tapachula.

Ruptly, an “international video news agency,” posted the video early Wednesday.

“Guards deployed at southern border after #Trump migrant deal,” the message read.

The footage shows several dozen African men, many of them shirtless, as they shouted, snapped their fingers, and waived at the camera as they sat and mulled about near a border gate, as about the same number of National Guard and Federal Police stood decked out in riot gear, including helmets and bullet-proof vests.

At least one man in the video appears to be a translator, working to relay messages from the shouting mob.

The video seemingly confirms a deal with Mexico negotiated by President Trump is working to halt the flood of illegal immigrants through Mexico into the United States, a crisis that escalated over the last year, initially with migrants from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

More recently, a wave of thousands of African migrants have traveled to Central America to exploit the situation and America’s asylum laws.

Guatemala’s towns are emptying out as a growing number of migrants head north to accept the Democratic Party’s offer of open-border loopholes and low-wage jobs, say a growing number of local reports.

Roughly one percent of Guatemala’s population has migrated to the United States’ border since September 2018, according to the Department of Homeland Security. That adds up to roughly 170,000 migrants, and roughly one-third of those migrants come from the neighboring rural districts of Huehuetenango and San Marcos.

The result of this U.S. government policies is that many villages are with empty homes, fatherless families, absent men, and minimal investment. The Wall Street Journal reported:COLOTENANGO, Guatemala—Gloria Velásquez is used to saying goodbye. Four of her six siblings have migrated to the U.S. and she, too, is thinking about heading north with her 9-year-old daughter.…

Ms. Velásquez said her four siblings in the U.S. are encouraging her to join them. Her daughter Helen Ixchel likes to teach language and mathematics to fellow children. She wants to learn English and become a teacher.

“I’m a bit scared [about going to the U.S.] after hearing all the news about the suffering of migrants at the border. But it’s my daughter’s greatest dream,” Ms. Velásquez said.

This massive loss of young people minimizes opposition to the country’s weak government and deters foreign investment in the nation. Without the promise of foreign investment and new jobs in the nation’s main cities, the next cohort of young men rationally look north for jobs.

“Santa Rosa fits the DHS statistics perfectly,” says a May 17 report from Sara Carter. Under the headline “Guatemalan Ghost Towns,” Carter wrote:

After a nearly two-hour ride up a windy mountain road from the capital the sound of salsa music greeted our SUV as it pulled along side one of the main roads. The music wafted from a small make-shift cafe that was empty of both customers and workers.
No cars. Few people. Two dogs. It was for the most part a ghost town.

“I can say roughly 60 percent of this town is gone,” said Jose Manuel, who had spent his day sitting along side the curb in front of furniture repair shop.

Many more migrants are preparing to travel through Mexico to accept the Democrats’ invitation of legal loopholes in the border fence. A recent survey by U.S. and Guatemalans shows that roughly one million Guatemalans — plus many of their children — want to make the trip soon.

“Entire communities are losing their children — and their future — to migration,” said a report from the non-profit Pulitzer Center. The report delicately dances around the reality that progressive Democrats and judges offer the catch-and-release loopholes to the migrants who bring their children. So many migrants bring their children and working-age youths on the dangerous trip to the border:

In another classroom, four girls work together to fix their costume for the school’s carnival. The rest of their ninth-grade class has dropped out — some to go to the U.S., others because their families couldn’t afford school any longer.

In a neighboring town, a teacher gardens to empower young women after the village’s only secondary program closed due to a lack of students.

some of these villages are losing their future as the younger generation heads north. Many of those who stay behind face a heavier workload — they need to care for younger siblings and tend house while their mothers work in the fields or fetch wood, tasks that typically belonged to their husbands.

The Examiner reports that Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Guatemalan president Otto Perez Molina held a joint press conference in Playas de Catazaja, Mexico, to officially announce an agreement to make it easier for those making the illegal journey to the United States from Central America, to cross into Mexico.

The Southern Border Program to Improve Passage, will provide for more border checkpoints along Mexico's border with Guatemala, and offer more protection and even emergency medical care to those making their way north. The illegal aliens will receive a so-called Regional Visitor's Card, according to El Universal.

Officially, the program will grant the cards to only illegal aliens from Guatemala and Belize, allowing them to remain in Mexico's southern states for 72 hours (more than enough time to reach the U.S./Mexican border by train). While, those two countries share a border with Mexico, the program will undoubtedly benefit anyone who makes it to the border, which would explain why our Border Patrol stations are currently overflowing with illegal aliens from El Salvador and Honduras as well reports the Examiner.

The program will also give special protection and even financial assistance to unaccompanied minors now pouring across our border. Of course, these efforts, chiefly by the Mexican government, will only increase the number of illegal aliens coming to this country by the thousands, now on a daily basis.

The official announcement only confirms what many of us have known all along...the current chaos on the border which the Obama administration has sympathetically (and dishonestly) characterized as a "humanitarian crisis," only exists due to collusion between the governments of Mexico, Guatemala and likely the United States.

You see, unlike the United States, Mexico actually defends their southern border...

Article 33 of the Mexican Constitution states:

The President of the Republic shall have the power to expel from national territory any foreigner, according to the law and after a hearing. The law shall establish the administrative procedure for this purpose, as well as the place where the foreigner should be detained and the time for that. Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.

Of course, in the U.S. illegal aliens are not only free to stay without fear of deportation, but they now protest openly, regularly invading Congressional field offices to demand amnesty legislation.

Over thirty Jews are being expelled from San Juan La Laguna, a small Guatemalan town - all at the express request of the locals.

"We wanted a clean, quiet, peaceful and friendly place for our children to grow into adults," Misael Santos, a convert to Judaism from San Juan La Laguna, told Prensa Libre earlier this week.

However, that is not what Santos found; for about six months, the community has been subject to ongoing verbal and physical abuse - the result of a petition for the small Jewish community to be evicted.

Santos and one other Jewish family moved to the small town from Mexico city about six years ago, he said. But trouble really began after he began a synagogue, drawing Israelis and Jewish tourists alike to the Guatemalan heartland reports Israel National News.

"About seven months ago, visitors came to celebrate the Jewish New Year here," he stated. "A Mexican family stayed for five months. Were only two families in all, but then a public official began showing signs of discontent with the people here."

"We were only two families, but he wanted us to leave," he added. "We were doing nothing wrong - just exercising our freedom of religion."

Since then, word has spread about the Jews in San Juan La Laguna, beginning a torrent of abuse.

"I put myself in their place and perhaps they are right to feel scared because before we were two families and now there are ten. And seeing us with our traditional dress, which is black, out of devotion and humility, in the streets, may cause fear,” he admitted.

"But someone must be directing this, because someone printed out fliers with false information [about Judaism and Jews] and put it under everyone's doors."

After concerns about the tourists rose, the mayor ordered a Jewish registry to be drawn up listing the town's Jewish residents, Santos stated. The move was allegedly to keep note of tourism in the small town, but the Jewish community became wary.

The abuse has turned from incitement to anti-Semitic violence in a matter of weeks.

"They uploaded photos of [Adolf] Hitler to a website about the Jews in town, saying they will put us in cremation ovens," he said. "Fifteen days ago, a group of teenagers who has read the website came up to us and began throwing stones at us."

A policeman later joined the attack, he said, along with several adults. Santos and others eventually managed to call the National Civil Police on the attackers - but he said it only made things worse.

"The next day, the website was filled with anti-Semitic slurs and horrible pictures," he said. "Several of us wanted to flee that night, because we heard that there was talk of preparing a lynching."

Less than 24 hours later, several children began stoning a group of women in the Jewish community, shouting "You killed Jesus!" Then one of them through an amateur explosive device.

Community representatives immediately demanded an urgent meeting with the mayor after the incidents - but the situation only worsened.

“They asked us to get out of town because they said that we kidnap children, and then added to the fire by saying the town would be invaded by Jews,” he said. “At the meeting, a lady presented 300 alleged signatures, asking us to leave the village,” he added.

Now our local mall has ever so proudly announced that they are remodeling the children's play area into a Mayan theme.

This will not be a Disney "It's a small world" theme reflecting the heritages of all Americans.  Fuck no.  This is a full blown shoving of lips deep into the ass of one single ethnic group and kissing loudly.

According the 2010 census 76% of my town's population (my location redacted please) is white, black, Asian and American Indian.  But that does not matter to the liberal loons who control businesses and the government.

The crazies have decided we are no longer a melting pot and that we must turn over the country to the citizens of two other countries.

But to be fair, the Mayan culture does not even represent the average citizen of Mexico.  The Aztecs and other Indian cultures represent perhaps 90% of the Mexican peoples.

In an insane business decision the mall said a giant "fuck you" to every non-Mayan ethnic group in the world in some retarded attempt to be politically correct.

This is just more proof, as if more was needed, of the Death of America.  Our "leaders" in industry and government could care less that we exist as a nation.

Broke US wastes $660 million on Central American Drug War

Congress spent nearly $700 million in money we do not have on a Central American drug war that cannot be won

• Homicide rates in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras are significantly higher than in violence-plagued Mexico.
• Congress refuses to consider decriminalization to destroy the power of the violent cartels.

The U.S. is spending hundreds of millions in money we do not have to fight a drug war in Central America.

U.S. officials estimate that 84% of U.S.-bound cocaine passes through Central America. In Guatemala, the Congressional Research Service recently noted, at least 40% of the country is believed to be under the "effective control" of drug traffickers. Homicide rates in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras are significantly higher than in violence-plagued Mexico, yet few cases result in convictions reports the Los Angeles Times.

Since 2007, Congress has appropriated $496 million for an aid program, the Central America Regional Security Initiative. The Department of Defense has kicked in $160 million of "counter-narcotics support" funds over the same period.

Bruce Bagley, a Latin America expert at the University of Miami, says those are paltry numbers compared with the $1.9 billion in dedicated drug-war funds provided to Mexico since 2007, or the roughly $8 billion given to Colombia in the decade-long aid program that had some success in rolling back cartel influence there.

In recent years, the U.S. has also showered Central American governments with hardware to help stem the flow of drugs: aircraft, boats, X-ray cargo scanners, ballistic vests and wiretapping centers.  Translation - American businesses are making money selling products to the government to fight the "war" on drugs.

Villa Nueva's video surveillance system is one of several projects meant to help fight the explosion in violent crime that has destabilized local governments and prompted some residents to head north toward the U.S., often illegally, in search of peace.

But the crime-fighting initiative goes far beyond surveillance cameras. The U.S. is also investing in civic projects under the theory that the drug war here cannot be won without more skilled and trustworthy police and prosecutors, along with an engaged citizenry that has reason to hope.

• U.S. "security initiative" tax dollars provide poor children with alternatives to crime such as break-dancing performances and clown and juggling programs.

GUATEMALA CITY -  The US Marines have now been put on the front lines of the insane, pointless and bottomless spending pit of the so-called War on Drugs.

A team of 200 U.S. Marines began patrolling Guatemala's western coast this week in an unprecedented operation to beat drug traffickers in the Central America region, a U.S. military spokesman said.

 

The Marines are deployed as part of Operation Martillo, a broader effort started last Jan. 15 to stop drug trafficking along the Central American coast. Focused exclusively on drug dealers in airplanes or boats, the U.S.-led operation involves troops or law enforcement agents from Belize, Britain, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama and Spain reports the Associated Press

"This is the first Marine deployment that directly supports countering transnational crime in this area, and it's certainly the largest footprint we've had in that area in quite some time," said Marine Staff Sgt. Earnest Barnes at the U.S. Southern Command in Miami.


Guatemalan president says drug war has failed

It was 50 years ago when the U.S. military last sent any significant aid and equipment into Guatemala, establishing a base to support counter-insurgency efforts during a guerrilla uprising. That movement led to 36 years of war that left 200,000 dead, mostly indigent Maya farmers. The U.S. pulled out in 1978.

Guatemalan authorities say they signed a treaty allowing the U.S. military to conduct the operations on July 16. Less than a month later an Air Force C-5 transport plane flew into Guatemala City from North Carolina loaded with the Marines and four UH-1 "Huey" helicopters.

After two weeks of setting up camp, establishing computer connections and training at the Guatemalan air base at Retalhuleu, the Marines ran through rehearsal exercises, Barnes said. Last week, their commander "gave us the thumbs up" to begin active operations, he said.

This week the Marines have been patrolling waterways and the coastline, looking for fast power boats and self-propelled "narco-submarines" used to smuggle drugs along Central America's Pacific Coast. U.S. officials say the "drug subs" can carry up to 11 tons of illegal cargo up to 5,000 miles.

Col. Erick Escobedo, spokesman for Guatemalan Military Forces and Defence Ministry, said that so far the Marines have brought about the seizure of one small-engine aircraft and a car, but made no arrests. He said he expected the Marines to in Guatemala for about two months.

Drug Enforcement Administration special agent Jeffrey Todd Scott said that although the agency has supported Operation Martillo, it has no agents working in Guatemala beyond its normal in-country presence.  But he does not bother to explain what the "normal" in-country presence is.

Comrade President Obama will get an earful from Latin American leaders at a regional summit in Colombia this weekend. Nations in Central and South America leaders are pushing to legalize marijuana and other drugs in a bid to stem rampant trafficking and end violence.

Obama, who opposes decriminalization, is expected to face a rocky reception in Columbia. The American demand for illegal drugs has caused fierce bloodshed, plus political and economic turmoil, across much of the region.

Colombia's president, Juan Manuel Santos, wants the 33 leaders at the Summit of the Americas to consider whether the solution should include regulating marijuana, and perhaps cocaine, the way alcohol and tobacco are. Other member states also are calling for that dialogue despite the political discomfort it may cause Obama back home says the L.A. Times.

The call for change comes from front-line veterans of the drug wars, including Colombia. Santos says he has the moral authority to seek new solutions because his country's citizens and security forces have spilled so much blood fighting drug traffickers.

Also leading the charge is Guatemala's President, Otto Perez Molina. After a pre-summit meeting with leaders of Costa Rica and Panama, he called for a "realistic and responsible" discussion of decriminalization in Cartagena.

"We cannot eradicate global drug markets, but we can certainly regulate them as we have done with alcohol and tobacco markets," he wrote in the British newspaper the Observer on April 7.

Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina said the US-led regional war against drug trafficking is being lost and requires a change in strategy, including decriminalizing drug consumption.

"The war we have waged over the past 40 years has not yielded results. It's a war which, to speak frankly, we are losing," he said in an interview with AFP on the sidelines of the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia.

Marijuana use in America has increased by 15% since 2006, but cocaine use has dropped by 40% in that time, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Experts say the global market for cocaine is unchanged because use in Europe more than doubled in the last decade.

DRUG WAR - People turn to the military

Drug money flows to nearly every party and candidate, so no matter who wins they will owe a debt to the cartels



The insane war on drugs is militarizing society in Guatemala as well as Mexico and the United States.  Civilian institutions get weaker while the military-police segments of society get stronger.  Civil liberties slowly vanish in a desperate attempt to bring law and order.

The idea of re-legalizing drugs in some form to eliminate the drug war is never addressed.

Local drug gangs and Mexican drug cartels run fever-wild, capturing territory and corrupting institutions so that Guatemala will remain a safe haven for cocaine, guns, money laundering and new recruits.

“It’s even scarier now than during the war,” said Josefina Molina, 52, making tamales a few steps from where a neighbor was killed two days earlier. “The danger used to be in the mountains — now it’s everywhere.”

Violence attributed to Mexican cartels, especially the Zetas, also keeps spreading: a decapitated head dumped in front of Congress last year; a massacre of 27 farm workers near the Mexican border in May, in which a severed arm was used to write a message in blood; and then the murder and dismemberment of the case’s prosecutor two months later, reports the New York Times.

Army deployed in Guatemala drug war

Guatemala’s presidential election could represent a turning point. The President-elect Otto Pérez Molina called for a stronger, crime-fighting military, borrowing heavily from the Mexican model of attacking the drug cartels head-on, even though that strategy has claimed more than 40,000 lives without yielding peace.

“For many, there is a sense that the military is going to put things in order,” said Raquel Zelaya, executive director of Así Es, a research group. And yet, she and others added, what if that faith is misplaced?

“The notion that the military is the ‘deus ex machina’ that’s going to resolve everything” does not recognize that the military “may also be part of the problem,” said Cynthia Arnson, an expert at Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

Drug money has also poisoned politics. Several senior members of the national police, including the chief and deputy chief, were purged in 2009 for their involvement in drug trafficking.
