Rand Paul takes a chainsaw to the tax code

Defeating The Marxist Income Tax
  • Bottom Line  -  The "small government" GOP has controlled Congress for 16 out of the last 20 years.  Not only has there been no flat income tax, but not one dime of spending has been cut and trillions of brand new debt approved by the GOP.
  • Rand's plan is needed, but there is a snowball's chance in Hell of the Leftist GOP adopting it.

How Would You Kill the Tax Code?

(Politico)  -  Rand Paul really, really doesn’t like the tax code.

The Kentucky senator and Republican presidential candidate released a video Tuesday of him taking on the tax code with fire, a woodchipper and a chainsaw to a rock-and-roll rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner.”

“Hey, I’m Rand Paul, and I’m trying to kill the tax code — all 70,000 pages of it,” says a T-shirt clad Paul before directing viewers to his website to learn more about his proposals.

His website leads to a page asking visitors, “How would you kill the tax code?” Paul is in the background holding up a chainsaw in front of a pile of papers. It asks for name and contact information before users can vote for their tax destruction method of choice.

Paul’s “Fair and Flat Tax” tax plan, which he introduced last month, would cut more than $2 trillion and replace the current multitiered tax system with a 14.5 percent tax across the board. It would also eliminate the payroll tax, gift and estate taxes, telephone taxes and duties and tariffs. Paul says his plan “would eliminate nearly every special-interest loophole.”

Happy Income Tax Day

"Soak the Rich."
Republican William Howard Taft and a GOP Congress brought Marxism, the re-distribution of the wealth and class warfare to the U.S. by passing the income tax amendment to the Constitution.

Happy Income Tax Day - Make sure to thank a Republican
  • The GOP, America's first Socialist Party.

By Gary;

In 1909 Republican President William Howard Taft urged a Congress with heavy Republican majorities to pass the income tax 17th Amendment and make the Marxist re-distribution of wealth the law of the land.

In an act of naked Marxism and class warfare the GOP promised to "tax the rich" and re-distribute that wealth to others in society with "needs."   Never mind the nation had been doing just fine since 1776 without an income tax.

The Republican political hacks said not to worry. Only the very, very top earners would have to pay. Another lie to the simple minded who then sold their votes in return for the chance to legally steal other people's money.

Now the Beltway hacks had ton's of other people's money to spend on building a centralized Big Government State . . . . a state that naturally would be run by the best and the brightest from the very finest elite schools.

IRS Celebrates a Century of Progressive Redistribution

By Ivan Betinov
The Peoples Cube.com

February 2013 marked the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment, authorizing the collection of a national income tax and the creation of the Internal Revenue Service. As a duly self-appointed member of the Inner Circle of the Party, I hereby issue an executive order proclaiming 2013 as

The Year Of
Coercive
Redistribution

In celebration of this momentous milestone, let's take a trip back to the thrilling and heady days of yesteryear and see just how far we have come in the science of Progressive Wealth Redistribution.

In 1913, anyone making over $3,000 per year was required to file a federal income tax return. This was the equivalent of slightly more than $68,000 in 2011 dollars. Currently, anyone making more than $9,500 per year is required to file a return with the IRS.

Even in 1913 the government was mindful of making the evil rich pay their fair share, which has to be a bigger share than anyone else. What they lacked was the audacity of hope in their demands. Let's take a quick look at the 1913 tax tables included on the venerable Form 1040
~
Adjusted Gross Income............................................Per cent Tax Due

$0 - $20,000............................................................................1%

$20,000 - $50,000.....................................................................1%

$50,000 - $75,000.....................................................................2%

$75,000 - $100,000...................................................................3%

$100,000 - $250,000..................................................................4%

$250,000 - $500,000..................................................................5%

$500,000 and up........................................................................6%

Thus, while a person who earned $50,000 in 1913 owed the federal government $500 in taxes, the person who earned $75,000 in 1913 owed $1,000. If the taxpayer was truly greedy and stole $100,000 from the working class in 1913, he had to pay $1,750 in taxes, while a true enemy of the people earning $250,000 was forced to redistribute $6,000 of his ill-gotten gains to the federal government. And for those "captains of industry," as the arch-imperialists used to call themselves, men who earned $500,000 per year, they had to pony up $20,250 in taxes.

It was a good start, but before we get too dizzy with success here, we must realize that the percentages involved were truly minuscule. A person earning $100,000 paid only 1.75% in taxes. The millionaires and billionaires who earned $250,000 in a year paid but 3.1%, and the blood-drinking corporate fat-cats earning a cool half million bucks only turned over 4.05% of their earnings for redistribution.

This is something about which we can be proud in this new era of progressive redistribution: although the rich are still not paying their fair share, we are making progressive progress in forcing them to return a higher percentage of the money they have stolen from the people. Let's just do a little conceited comparison of 1913 rates to 2012 rates:

Taxable Income....................1913 tax (per cent rate)....................2012 tax (per cent rate)

$100,000.............................$1,750 (1.75%)...............................$21,454 (21.45%)

$250,000..............................$7,750 (3.1%)................................$67,029 (26.81%)

$500,000..............................$20,250 (4.05%)............................$151,761 (30.35%)

While it does warm my heart to realize that a person earning $100,000 today is paying well over ten times the tax rate as a person earning the same amount a century ago, we can't say the same for the person earning a half million dollars a year, and in any case, these evil rich people are not paying their fair share even at these rates.

One thing we can be proud of, even in the light of these still obviously far too light tax burdens, is the standard deduction rate. In 1913, the personal exemption on a tax return for a person filing single was $3,000. In 2012, that standard deduction is $5,950. Here is somewhere we have truly held the line, dear comrades. Remember, $3,000 in 1913 was the equivalent of a bit more than $68,000 in 2011 dollars. For the standard deduction to remain on par with 1913, we would have to allow tax filers an exemption of over $130,000! Yet we keep them content by showing our largess in allowing them to exempt a mere $5,950.

So let's raise a cup of vegan soy latte in toast of a century of progressive expansion of the Internal Revenue Service and the coercive redistribution of wealth. Be a patriot and pay those taxes, and vote for those candidates who see their duty to raise taxes to an even more equal rate.

A 13% Russian flat tax for Gerard Depardieu

Gerard Depardieu shows off his new Russian passport.

The World Has Gone Mad
A capitalist actor flees Socialist France for the protection of capitalist Russia!

  • And where is the American Flat Tax?  Even after 12 years of a GOP controlled Congress we got nothing.  Just the same old Big Government Bullshit.

Gerard Depardieu has failed to appear in a French court where he faces a drink-driving charge, days after taking Russian citizenship in a tax row.

He has publicly opposed plans by the Socialist government to institute a top French tax rate of 75%, and last month announced he was moving to Belgium.

French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault branded the decision as "shabby". The film star in turn accused France's Socialist government of punishing "success, creation and talent".

The film star received a Russian passport at the weekend but retains his French citizenship reports BBC News.

"Gerard, welcome to Russia.  You will love our low,
business friendly, 13% flat tax."

He has developed close ties with Russia and during his visit at the weekend hugged President Vladimir Putin, who described him as a friend.

Moscow has offered him a flat tax rate of 13% if he stays in the country for more than half the year. On his trip to Russia he travelled to the central region of Mordovia, which has invited him to make his home there.

But the actor said on Monday he was not turning his back on his country.

"I have a Russian passport, but I remain French and I will probably have dual Belgian nationality," he told French sports channel L'Equipe 21.

Depardieu also denied that his decision to move abroad was to avoid paying taxes. "If I'd wanted to escape the taxman, as the French press say, I would have done it a long time ago."

In his new film, he will play the disgraced former French finance minister and head of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, a man Depardieu has called "a little like all French people, a little arrogant".

The Russian region of Mordovia (in red) has
invited Depardieu to live there.

The Russian region of Mordovia

The Russian region of Mordovia has invited French actor Gerard Depardieu to set up home there, hours after he received his Russian passport.

Governor Vladimir Volkov said he could choose an apartment or a place to build a house, Interfax news agency reported.

The actor boarded a flight to Mordovia's snow-covered main city, Saransk, after meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Black Sea resort of Sochi, where he also received his passport says the BBC News.

Waving the new document, he was welcomed to Saransk by women wearing national costumes and served blini - traditional pancakes. He was also presented with a pair of felt boots and two kittens.

"I am very happy, it's very beautiful here, beautiful and soulful people live here," Interfax quoted him as saying.

Vladimir Putin
Let's see, a former Communist and head of the KGB runs a nation with a 13% flat income tax.  While back in the United Socialist States of America our idiot politicians are trying to re-create the fallen Communist Soviet Union.
.
It is a world gone mad.

Make him an offer he can't refuse

The Mafia and Congress  -  is there really any difference?
Both Democrats and Republicans extort money from a helpless public through the tax code in order to build political power.

Election Season  -  It's fool the voters time
  • Both parties distract the voters with meaningless candidate background, bank account or tax issues so no one will notice that no real changes are ever made to the tax code.
  • Both parties work together to protect an insane tax code that re-distributes wealth and sucks the life out of the nation.
  • Republicans - Where is the Flat Income Tax?

By Gary;

Meaningless Bullshit is flowing fast and deep . . . that must mean an election is coming.
.
DEMOCRAT  BULLSHIT  -  In one of Comrade Obama's latest campaign commercials Mitt Romney gets some flak for his offshore bank accounts. Apparently, keeping money in places like the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands is a sign that one might not be the most upstanding citizen.

REPUBLICAN BULLSHIT - To distract voters the GOP counters that at least five of the president’s “bundlers” — in lay terms, people who form groups with their acquaintances and pool funds in order to donate significant sums to campaigns — run firms that keep some of their money in tax havens such as Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands, and Bermuda.

For example, Michael Sacks, one of the president’s top bundlers, is responsible for collecting at least $500,000 for Obama’s reelection campaign.   One of his funds, the Grosvenor Registered Multi-Strategy Fund, LLC, has authorized “certain in-kind transactions” with the Grosvenor Multi-Strategy Offshore Fund, Ltd., a fund conveniently located in the lovely Cayman Islands.

Meaningless Bullshit  -  Both parties scream meaning crap in 30 second TV ads in order to distract voters from real issues.

The fact that someone has a certain type of bank account has no meaning to the lives of any American.  In fact, this so-called hot "issue" will be forgotten the day after the election.

The reason for these fake campaign issues is both parties want to avoid the public asking real questions about the Marxist re-distribution of wealth through the tax code.  The Socialist politicians need trillions in other people's money to build a Big Government cradle-to-grave welfare state.

The GOP controlled Congress could have abolished the insane tax code and passed a flat income tax any time from 1995 to 2007.  Nothing happened.  The GOP has controlled the House since 2011.  Nothing happened.

Simply, both parties want to keep the current system.  With the tax code as a club Congress (like the Mafia) can extort money from the producers of society in order to buy votes from many other groups.

Happy Income Tax Day

Happy Income Tax Day  -  Make sure to thank a Republican

  • In 1909 with a promise to "soak the rich" (the top 1%) the GOP adopted Marxism in a shameless pandering for the votes of those who would not have to pay the tax.
  • Both Democrats and Republicans have been loyal to Karl Marx ever since.
  • I am still waiting for the flat income tax the GOP claims they favor.

By Gary;

"Soak the Rich."
Republican William Howard Taft and a GOP Congress brought Marxism and class
warfare
to the U.S. by passing the income tax amendment to the Constitution.

Now the Beltway hacks had ton's of other people's money to spend on building a centralized Big Government State . . . . a state that naturally would be run by the best and the brightest from the very finest elite schools.

Selling your Vote  -  Slowly all levels of society from the poor to multi-national corporations began to realize they could sell their votes to the Beltway Elite in return for direct cash payments, subsidies, favorable tax treatment, government granted and protected monopolies and more.

Extortion   -   The bi-partisan Elite also discovered they could use the tax code and the endless un-Constitutional power of a centralized Big Brother state to extort campaign money from the helpless citizens.  Pay up or get fucked over by Congress with tens of thousands of pages of Federal regulations.

The Flat Income Tax   -   The Republican Party claims they are interested in a flat income tax.  But it is all Bullshit and lies to make voters think they care about the "little people."  After all, the GOP gave us the income tax to begin with.

The Republicans controlled Congress from 1995 to 2007 and no flat tax ever escaped their Socialist grasp.  They have controlled the House since 2011 and refused to pass a flat tax.  Simply if a flat tax was passed then Congress would lose their power to buy votes and extort campaign money.

Protecting the Marxist re-distribution of wealth.  Something both parties agree on.

Government's message to Business
Hand over the "voluntary" campaign contributions or we will tax the shit out of you and the IRS will do an audit so deep you will wish it had been ten colonoscopies instead.

The Rick Perry flat tax - Too little, too late?

Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry unveiled a sweeping economic agenda Monday, highlighted by a plan to level a voluntary 20 percent "flat tax" on all taxpayers who will accept it in place of what they're paying now.

The plan, outlined in a Wall Street Journal op-ed column a day before the Texas governor was set to announce it in South Carolina, also calls for capping federal spending at 18 percent of the country's GDP while allowing younger earners to privatize their Social Security accounts, reports the National Journal.

But the most significant feature of Perry's plan is his call for a flat tax rate of 20 percent.  Taxpayers who don't want to pay a 20 percent flat income tax, he said, can keep their current rate. Current marginal income tax rates range from 10 percent to 35 percent, depending on taxpayers' income.  His plan would preserve popular deductions for mortgage interest and donations to charity for households earning less than $500,000 a year.

Too little, too late?

It is good to see different flat tax plans coming out that attack the Marxist heart of the progressive income tax.  A 20% flat tax with few deductions moves America a bit closer to a more free society rather than a society based on the Marxist re-distribution of wealth.

But Perry has been in a total free fall since entering the GOP race at the top of the polls.  Here is Perry's standing in the very latest polls.
  • Iowa   -   Perry comes in at 5th place with 6% of the vote.
  • New Hampshire   -   Perry comes in at 6th place with a "massive" 2% of the vote
  • Nevada   -   Perry comes in at 5th place with 5%.
  • South Carolina   -   Perry comes in at 3rd place with 10%.
  • Florida   -   Perry is in 3rd place with 9%.
Considering that Perry entered the race at the very top of the polls, these are not good numbers.  It is very fair to say the voters have looked at Perry and rejected him.  Time will tell if Perry can attract the voters back to him.

The Big Spending Republican Party

Bi-Partisan Big Brother Government.
No matter which party has a majority in Congress the insane spending of taxpayer's
money and the growth of an un-Constitutional centralized state goes on and on.

What Republican Spending Cuts?
  • A 5% increase in spending under a GOP controlled House
  • Federal spending in the first nine months of 2011 was $120 billion higher than in the same period in 2010.

By Gary;

When Republicans took control of the House in January, they pledged to make deep cuts in federal spending, and in April they succeeded in getting a bill advertised as cutting $38 billion from fiscal 2011's budget. Then in August, they pushed for a deal to cut another $2.4 trillion over the next decade.

But data released by the Treasury Department on Friday show that, so far, there hasn't been any spending cuts at all reports Investor's Business Daily.

In fact, in the first nine months of this year, federal spending was $120 billion higher than in the same period in 2010, the data show. That's an increase of almost 5%. And deficits during this time were $23.5 billion higher.

A Republican Congress for 13 out of 17 years

Like many of you I am still waiting for those massive Republican spending cuts.  To listen to Democrats you would think the poor were being eaten at GOP BBQs and children have to sell a kidney to feed their families.

Funny.  Those spending cuts never happen no matter who is in power.  As if by magic Presidents of both parties never demand real spending cuts by using their veto.

Both parties want to hold power so badly they will tax the producers of society in order to buy votes at the next election from their supporting groups.  Buying votes is totally bi-partisan.  The results of vote buying is American Socialism, a Big Brother, Big Government, and the cradle-to-grave Welfare State.

Basically, America is ruled by one Socialist Party with right and left wings that address issues important to different voting blocks.  But the major underpinnings of American Socialism are never really questioned  -  the Marxist re-distribution of wealth through the income tax, the growth of un-Constitutional power in D.C. and the Welfare State both corporate and individual.

The Left-Wing Socialist Party  -  The Democrats have moved far beyond their Big Government, New Deal and Great Society roots.  Democrats have fully adopted a soft version of Marxism using the Green environmental movement to enforce their Socialist will on everyone from individuals to Corporations.

The "Green" Marxist Big Brother will tell you what business you are allowed to open, what car you can drive, what teachers can teach, what you can eat, smoke, drink, read and what job you will be allowed to have.  Just keep turning over more and more of your money to the Beltway Puppetmasters to distribute to their party supporters.

The Right-Wing Socialist Party  -   The 19th century small government Republican Party of Rutherford B. Hayes and Benjamin Harrison died long ago.

It was the GOP under Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft that made Marxism and the re-distribution of the wealth the law with the progressive income tax.  It was the GOP that started so many of the Big Government agencies that intrude on our lives.

See our article  -  THE FEDERALIST - "THE FLAT TAX: Communists are more Conservative than Republicans."

As the Democrat Party adopted Marxism the Republican Party has morphed into the radical Democrat Party of the New Deal and the Great Society.

On paper the GOP looks "Conservative", but only in relation to what the Democratic Party currently stands for.  While still pro-business the "Conservatism", the Republicans believe in is the protection of every possible Federal Big Brother spending program ever passed from Theodore Roosevelt to George Bush.

Thus we come to the story of the day that there are no budget cuts.

There are no budget cuts because the Republicans in Congress are simply radical New Deal Leftists.   Based on the Big Government programs they support, these "Conservative" Republicans would be considered the radical left fringe in a 1933 FDR Congress.

Today the United States has drifted so far to the radical left that supporters of FDR and LBJ programs are considered Conservative.

Don't get me wrong.  Come 2012 Comrade Obama must be defeated at all costs if anything like a Constitutional Federal Republic is to continue.

But Republican voters should be aware that when they vote "Conservative" in 2012 they are voting for Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson and more Big Government.

THE FLAT TAX: Communists are more Conservative than Republicans

Why do "Conservatives" give us Marxism and Marxists give us Capitalism and Free Markets?

Republican Socialism

"The really big fortune, the swollen fortune, by the mere fact of its size, acquires qualities which differentiate it in kind as well as in degree from what is possessed by men of relatively small means.
Therefore, I believe in a graduated income tax on big fortunes, and in another tax which is far more easily collected and far more effective, a graduated inheritance tax on big fortunes, properly safeguarded against evasion, and increasing rapidly in amount with the size of the estate."

- - - - Theodore Roosevelt

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need."  This has been the unwritten plank of the Republican Party Platform since 1901.

A little known fact is Marxism, a centralized Big Brother Government and the re-distribution of wealth were enacted into law by the Republican Party.  It was not just that "crazy" Theodore Roosevelt.  Almost the entire Republican Party was adopting Karl Marx as official policy.  The Progressive Era saw the beginnings of the centralization of power in Washington D.C. and the growth of the Big Brother state.
Senator Nelson Aldrich
GOP Majority Leader and
author of the income tax

In 1909 at the urging of President William Howard Taft the Republican controlled Congress passed the 16th Amendment to the Constitution bringing the progressive income tax and the Marxist re-distribution of wealth to America.

The progressive income tax was pure vote buying.  The vast mass of voters would not have to pay the tax.  The Republican written 16th Amendment made the targets of the tax the upper middle classes and the rich.  Class warfare.  Take the wealth of the producing class and re-distribute it to those who the politicians feel are worthy to get it.  All to buy the votes of those who were not taxed.

Republican Socialism.

But the income tax is just one area.  As the Federal government has grown Republicans have voted to support, defend and fund just about every government program and agency in existance.

The Republican Party has never looked back.  The Square Deal, the New Deal, the Great Society to George Bush's massive spending on "Compassionate Conservatism" it did not matter.  The GOP adopted all vote buying programs as their own.  At election time they ran for office as the good government managers of the Big Brother state.  Vote Republican for a "kinder and genteler" Federal Master.

That brings us to the a modern America that looks more like a bankrupt Socialist Greece than the free capitalist nation of William McKinley.

Communists for Capitalism

Why is it that former Communists believe in the flat income tax and the American Republican Party opposes it at every opportunity?

The simple answer is the Communists saw close up that Socialism simply does not work.  Communists moved rapidly to adopt Capitalism, free markets as well as a simple flat income tax.

Prime Minister Andrus Ansip
of Estonia
LITHUANIA:   This formerly Communist state has adopted a flat 21% personal income tax.  Unemployment has declined and tax revenues have increased.  Lithuania had the highest economic growth rate amongst all candidate and member countries, reaching 8.8%.  In 2004 – 7.4%; 2005 – 7.8%; 2006 – 7.8%; 2007 – 8.9%, 2008  – 7.0% growth in GDP reflects the impressive economic development.

Corporate tax rate in Lithuania is 15% and 5% for small businesses.

ESTONIA:   Prime Minister Andrus Ansip was a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.   But today he is leader of the Libertarian, Classical Liberal, free market Estonian Reform Party.  This former Communist has brought Estonia a flat 21% tax.

According to Eurostat published at 15 November 2010, Estonia has the lowest ratio of government debt to GDP among EU counties as 7.2 percent at the end of 2009.

President Traian Băsescu
of Romania

A balanced budget, almost non-existent public debt, flat-rate income tax, free trade regime, competitive commercial banking sector, innovative e-Services and even mobile-based services are all hallmarks of Estonia's free-market-based economy.

ROMANIA:   President Traian Basescu was a member of the Romanian Communist Party and knew all about the Marxist re-distribution of wealth.

Now this former Communist and his free market Democratic Liberal Party have enacted a flat income tax of 16% for individuals and business.

HUNGARY:   The former Communist nation of Hungary adopted a 16% flat tax in 2011.

RUSSIA:   Free market reforms have propelled a bankrupt nation to number 11 in the world in GDP.  Russia has adopted a form of the flat tax system.

OTHER NATIONS:   These formerly Communist nations have adopted tax systems that are commonly described in the media and the professional economics literature as a flat tax:   Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Serbia and the Ukraine.

Right-Wing Socialism

While ex-Communists are doing a 100 yard dash toward Adam Smith and freedom, the American Republican Party is stuck in FDR's New Deal era of centralized Big Brother Government.

CENTER-RIGHT SOCIALISM:   Conservative parties
around the world have adopted Marxism and Big
Brother Government in order to buy
votes at election time.

Republicans have become Right-Wing Socialists.
  • Pro-Business
  • Pro-Private Property
  • Pro-Religion
  • Pro-Centralized Big Brother State
  • Pro-Marxist re-distribution of the wealth
  • Pro-Cradle to Grave welfare state
The Republicans are not alone in this strange political hybrid that I call Right-Wing Socialism.

The Conservative Party in both Canada and the UK have embraced all the above elements of government.  The same is true for Germany's Christian Democrats or France's Union for a Popular Movement.

The fact of the matter is Big Brother Socialism has won the war of ideas.  No Conservative party wants to abolish Socialist programs or the progressive Marxist income tax.

Where is the American Flat Tax?

If the Republican Party really believes in small government then where is our own flat income tax?

The GOP controlled Congress for 12 years but never passed the tax or cut spending.  Today they control the House and nothing is being done about abolishing the insane tax code or the progressive income tax.

There are only two reasons why a flat tax has not passed a GOP controlled House:

OPTION ONE:    They are incompetent boobs.

OPTION TWO:   They do not want to pass it.

Personally I hold out for option #2.   Based on the big spending, Big Brother programs they support the Republicans are basically radical New Deal Leftists.  They want Big Government programs and a Byzantine labyrinth tax code in order to buy votes every two years.   The Marxist progressive income tax provides them the money and leverage over people and businesses needed to buy those votes.
