GOP run FDA bans Pizza & Salad Buffets

We Are Truly Fucked
Trump Has Lost Control
  • The Deep State has won. The so-called "Conservative" GOP is either fucking silent as our rights are abolished or Republicans in the executive branch or GOP Governors enforce Fascism.
  • It is obvious to me that Trump has no control over his own government - - - - that is partly because he appointed sell out whore Republicans to posts instead of Nationalist Patriots.
  • Now the GOP run FDA is telling us to drop our pants, bend over, spread our cheeks and get fucked - - - - pizza buffets, salad bars will all be gone.

(MSN)  -  When Democrat Oregon Gov. Kate Brown echoed FDA recommendations Tuesday in prohibiting self-service operations during the state’s Phase 1 plan for reopening, it put into question the future of the state’s buffets, salad bars, growler refill stations and more.

Turns out, one large American buffet chain has already made the decision to close.

Sweet Tomatoes, also known as Souplantation in Southern California, will not reopen its 97 locations , including four in the Portland area, Garden Fresh Restaurants CEO John Haywood told the San Diego Union-Tribune on Thursday.

“The FDA had previously put out recommendations that included discontinuing self-serve stations, like self-serve beverages in fast food, but they specifically talked about salad bars and buffets,” Haywood told the newspaper. “The regulations are understandable, but unfortunately, it makes it very difficult to reopen. And I’m not sure the health departments are ever going to allow it."

According to Haywood, the company has been losing about $1 million a week since temporarily closing restaurants across the country in the middle of March. He thinks that amount would have been more had they chose to ditch their buffet model.

Our problem is this: we’re a buffet concept,” Haywood said, noting that even Georgia, which was criticized for reopening businesses too soon, hasn’t allowed self-service restaurants to reopen.

Sweet Tomatoes began as a single Souplantation in San Diego in 1978, offering all-you-care-to-eat soup and salad, and was bought by Garden Fresh Restaurants in 1983. All non-California locations were named Sweet Tomatoes. In 2016, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, eventually closing dozens of locations.

The closure affects 4,400 employees.
