A Little Monday Music - Wouldn't It Be Loverly - On The Street Where You Live

1956 - Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews

Starting The Week off on a High Note
  • I have decided to try and start each new week off on a positive high note. But being a glass half empty kind of guy I suspect things will turn into crap soon enough.

The greatest musical of all time.

My Fair Lady is a musical based on George Bernard Shaw's 1913 play Pygmalion, with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe

The story concerns Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from Professor Henry Higgins, a phonetician, so that she may pass as a lady.

Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews starred.

The musical premiered on Broadway March 15, 1956. It closed on September 29, 1962, after 2,717 performances.
