Black, Beautiful & Packing Heat
(CNS News) -- Asya Branch was crowned Miss USA last night, the first candidate from Mississippi to receive the honor. Branch proudly advocated her support for the Second Amendment during the pageant’s question-and-answer portion, worked with the Trump Administration on criminal justice reform, and once performed the National Anthem at a Trump rally.
“As someone who grew up in a home with guns, I learned at an early age how to load, how to fire, and gun safety and I think that [gun] education should be available to everyone,” Branch said in response to a question on gun control.
“I think it's important that we not ban guns because obviously people will find a way to get what they want anyways,” she said. “I think it's our Second Amendment right. We just need more safety surrounding that.”
Videos from her Instagram account have surfaced showing the pageant winner practicing shooting while wearing her tiara and sash.
