Colorado Bill allows Secret Service to arrest you to enforce Colorado laws

Everyone raise your hand if you support the government.

Secret Service and "other Federal agents" will be given the power to arrest you to enforce local laws . . . even gun laws.
  • The Colorado branch of the National Socialist Democrat Party wants Federal agents to violate the Bill of Rights and arrest you based on local laws.

World Net Daily reports that a bill is heading to the desk of Colorado Comrade Governor John Hickenlooper’s that Republican lawmakers say would give members of the Secret Service broad arrest powers in the state and could provide a framework for federal agents eventually to enforce gun restrictions.

“This is absolutely insane,” Rep. Lori Saine, R-Dacono, said. “In theory if a Secret Service agent is in a county where the sheriff has refused to enforce some of the recent unenforceable gun laws, the agent could arrest an individual if he believes the law has been broken.”
.
The idea actually aligns with an Obama agenda to create vast new restrictions and regulations on guns. WND has reported that hundreds of sheriffs nationwide, including many in Colorado, have said they cannot enforce federal restrictions that would violate the Second Amendment.

In Colorado, Weld County Sheriff John Cooke said he and many other county sheriffs “won’t bother” with several laws poised to go into effect in Colorado because they would be impossible to enforce.

Cooke said he and other sheriffs are considering filing a lawsuit to block the laws. And sheriffs in other parts of the nation agree, with more than 340 already banding together to promise to uphold the U.S. Constitution.
.
The new bill regarding the Secret Service, SB-13-013, passed on a nearly party line vote in the Democrat-controlled House and is now awaiting the governor’s signature. The bill grants members of the Secret Service arrest powers by considering them to be a peace officer, putting them on a par with state law-enforcement officials with respect to arrest authority.

The legislation does not only apply to agents guarding the president or other government officials but also to special agents, uniformed division officers, physical security technicians, physical security specialists and special officers of the United States Secret Service.

Republican lawmakers say that when they asked why the bill was needed they were given a series of conflicting answers.

Sen. Kevin Lundberg, R-Berthoud, said he was told the purpose of the bill was to make it easier to hold a person for mental health reasons.

“When I asked in committee why they need this I was told it was so we can exercise 72-hour mental holds on our own citizens,” Lundberg said.
.
Lundberg said the big concern is that the bill essentially places members of the Secret Service on an equal footing with law-enforcement, without being constrained by jurisdictional issues.

“If you look at the bill, it says they can operate alongside of local police authorities and function as equals you might say,” he said. “However, when you read it carefully it basically gives them state police power so whatever power a regular policeman such as the state patrol, sheriff’s office or local police has they will have also.”
.
The bill states that the agents are automatically granted peace officer status when several conditions apply. For instance, if the agent is responding to a non-federal felony or misdemeanor being committed in their presence, he has the full authority to arrest any Colorado citizen.

The bill also gives the Secret Service agents wide discretion to arrest citizens based merely on probable cause that a non-federal felony or misdemeanor involving injury or threat of injury to a person or property has been or is being committed.

SHOCK - Feds spy on "Anti-Government Americans"

Big Brother is Watching You
State Fusion Center Director admits his center is spying on Americans
  • "Search Warrant???? . . . You mean we need one of those things?"

The American Police State  -  Law enforcement intelligence-processing fusion centers have long come under attack for spying on Americans. The Arkansas director wanted to clarify the truth: centers only spies on some Americans – those who appear to be a threat to the government.

In trying to clear up the ‘misconceptions’ about the conduct of fusion centers, Arkansas State Fusion Center Director Richard Davis simply confirmed Americans’ fears: the center does in fact spy on Americans – but only on those who are suspected to be‘anti-government’.
.
“The misconceptions are that we are conducting spying operations on US citizens, which is of course not a fact. That is absolutely not what we do,” he told the NWA Homepage, which supports KNWA-TV and Fox 24 says RT News - USA.

Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura FEMA CAMP Full length version

After claiming that his office ‘absolutely’ does not spy on Americans, he proceeded to explain that this does not apply to those who could be interpreted as a ‘threat’ to national security. Davis said his office places its focus on international plots,“domestic terrorism and certain groups that are anti-government. We want to kind of take a look at that and receive that information.”

But the First Amendment allows for the freedom of speech and opinion, making it lawfully acceptable for Americans to express their grievances against the US government. The number of anti-government groups even hit a record high in 2012, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. Many of these groups are ‘hate groups’ that express disdain for minorities. But unless they become violent, these groups are legally allowed to exist.

“We are seeing the fourth straight year of really explosive growth on the part of anti-government patriot groups and militias,” Mark Potok, senior fellow at the SPLC, told Mother Jones. “That’s 913 percent in growth. We’ve never seen that kind of growth in any group we cover.”

And with a record-high number of anti-government groups, fusion centers may be spying on more Americans than ever before – or at least, have the self-proclaimed right to do so.

“I do what I do because of what happened on 9/11,” Davis said. “There’s this urge and this feeling inside that you want to do something, and this is a perfect opportunity for me.”

But Davis’ argument is flawed: in order to determine whether or not someone is considered a threat to national security, fusion centers would first have to spy on Americans to weed out the suspected individuals, and then proceed to spy on the‘anti-government’ individuals further.

Across the US, fusion centers have reported on individuals who conducted ‘crimes’ like putting political stickers in public bathrooms or participating in movements against the death penalty. In October, the bipartisan Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations finished a two-year investigation on fusion centers, only to find that the centers had directly violated constitutionally protected civil liberties.

“In reality, the Subcommittee investigation found that the fusion centers often produced irrelevant, useless or inappropriate intelligence reporting to DHS, and many produced no intelligence reporting whatsoever,” the report stated.

And the privacy violations could soon become worse: RT previously reported that the FBI’s proposed facial recognition project could provide fusion centers with more personal data to work with. With at least 72 fusion centers across the US and technology that could further infringe upon privacy rights, government agencies will be able to more efficiently collect data on Americans solely for exercising their freedom of speech.

European born Jihadis fighting with Islamist Syrian rebels

Hundreds of European Jihadists are now fighting in Syria
  • And the U.S. and Western governments are funneling money, aid and arms to them through Islamist Turkey and Islamist Saudi Arabia.

The UK Telegraph reports that up to 100 British Muslims are fighting in Syria’s civil war amid fears some could return home to carry out terrorist attacks, senior intelligence chiefs disclosed.

There are “hundreds” of Europeans now fighting in Syria, some of whom are with groups linked to al Qaeda, the Home Office told MPs.

The British-born Jihadis are said to have joined the fight with Jabhat al-Nusra, the country’s most militant al-Qaeda gang.

The fighters have come from range of ethnic backgrounds include young Asians, converts to Islam and men from north African backgrounds.

Some are said to have fought in conflicts elsewhere while others waging war for the first time.

Officials warned of the risk to Britain and other European nations posed by foreign fighters now gaining military experience in Syria.

Charles Farr, the director of the Office for Security and Counter-Terrorism, admitted the war in Syria had become "particularly challenging" for the British government.

Speaking as the Home Office’s annual report on its counter-terrorism strategy (Contest) was published, Mr Farr warned the security services were keeping close tabs on the escalating crisis.

He admitted that a large numbers of foreign fighters, including from Britain, were active in Syria.

Mr Farr, a former MI6 officer, admitted that an assessment of between 70 to 100 people having travelled from Britain to fight in Syria “wouldn’t be far wrong”.

Some 600 terrorist attacks involving Syrian groups took place last year, including 60 suicide deaths.

He said that authorities were watching the efforts by Jabhat al-Nusra to extend its activities beyond Syria “very carefully”.

His comments came amid growing fears that some fighters could be sent back to Britain, with the sole purpose to plan and commit an act of terrorism on home soil.

Oil pipeline bombed in Homs

A suicide bomber has blown himself up during evening prayers inside a mosque in Damascus, killing a top Sunni Muslim preacher and long-time supporter of President Bashar Assad and least 13 other people, state TV reported.

The assassination removes a pillar of support of the Alawite leader among the minority sect that has risen up against him.

Sheikh Mohammad Said Ramadan al-Buti, an 84-year-old cleric known to all Syrians as a religious scholar who appears often on TV, was killed in the explosion in the Eman Mosque in the central Mazraa district, according to the report.

Syrian TV showed footage wounded people and bodies with severed limbs on the blood-stained floor of the mosque and later, bodies covered in white body bags lined up on the mosque's floor. The explosion occurred at a time the mosque would have been packed with worshippers for Friday evening prayers.    (.3news.co)

Iran won the U.S. - Iraq War

Iraq becomes a client state of Iran . . . thanks to the U.S.
  • Americans have not a clue about the history of the region.
  • Bush invaded a pro-Russian, anti-Iran, secular and Socialist Iraq.  American policy replaced that pro-Russian nation with an Islamist leaning, pro-Iranian government.
  • Now we are doing the same thing all over again in Syria.

It should come as no surprise that rational thought rarely exists in Washington D.C.  What is amazing to me is how oblivious the American people are to the events their government created.

The Los Angeles Times reports that ten years after the U.S.-led invasion to oust Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, the geopolitical winner of the war appears to be their common enemy: Iran.

American military forces are long gone, and Iraqi officials say Washington's political influence in Baghdad is now virtually nonexistent. Hussein is dead. But Iran has become an indispensable broker among Baghdad's new Shiite elite, and its influence continues to grow.

The signs are evident in the prominence of pro-Iran militias on the streets, at public celebrations and in the faces of some of those now in the halls of power, men such as Abu Mehdi Mohandis, an Iraqi with a long history of anti-American activity and deep ties to Iran.

During the occupation, U.S. officials accused Mohandis of arranging a supply of Iranian-made bombs to be used against U.S. troops. But now Iraqi officials say Mohandis speaks for Iran here, and Prime Minister Nouri Maliki recently entrusted him with a sensitive domestic political mission.

During a visit to Baghdad on Sunday, however, Secretary of State John Kerry was unable to persuade Maliki to stop Iranian flights crossing Iraqi airspace to Syria.

Iraqi officials and analysts say, Washington has pursued a policy of near-total disengagement, with policy decisions largely relegated to the embassy in Baghdad. Some tribal leaders complain that the Americans have not contacted them since U.S. troops left in late 2011.

Iraq's political atmosphere has deteriorated. Maliki has ordered the arrest of his former finance minister, a Sunni. Disputes in the north between the central government and leaders of the semiautonomous Kurdish region are unresolved.

"The Americans have no role. Nobody listens to them. They lost their power in this country," said Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Mutlaq, a Sunni, commenting on the disappearance of the Americans as a broker for most of Iraq's disputes.

The Iraq Baathist Republican Guard.
Thanks to the United States the strong million man anti-Iran army of Iraq
no longer exists.  It has been replaced by a pro-Iranian nation.

The U.S. - Iraq War
The Americans get their brave young soldiers killed and maimed while our nation was plunged trillions into debt because Bush, Obama and Congress were too cowardly to ask for increased taxes to pay for the war.  Just put it all on the "Visa card" please.

The vacuum has been filled in large part by Iran and by Iraq's Sunni neighbors, each intent on wielding maximum influence in a country that stands as a buffer between Shiite Iran and the largely Sunni Middle East.

"At the moment, Iran has something akin to veto power in Iraq, in that Maliki is careful not to take decisions that might alienate Iran," said Karim Sadjadpour, an expert on Iran with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

An Iraqi Shiite politician who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject, described Iran's objectives this way: "Controlled instability in Iraq and a submissive or sympathetic Islamist Shia government in accord with Iran's regional interests, most importantly regarding Syria."

Maliki turned to Shiite Islamist parties and figures tied to Iran to stay in power after a close election in 2010. He has fended off challenges since then with the support of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who fears the expansion of Sunni power if Syria or Iraq collapses. Maliki has convinced the Iranians that he is the only one who can hold his country together, according to Iraqi politicians.

Iran has forcefully backed quasi-political and military groups in Iraq such as the Badr Organization, Khitab Hezbollah and Asaib al Haq, and encouraged them to support Maliki.

The Badr Organization was funded and trained by Iran's Revolutionary Guard in the 1980s to fight Hussein. Both Khitab Hezbollah and Asaib al Haq have professed their admiration for Khamenei while declaring their ambition to transform themselves into political and social movements.

SOCIALISM - "They Have Stolen Our Money"

Cypriot: "They Have Stolen Our Money"

Russia: Cyprus deal is theft
  • Kremlin may freeze German assets
  • European Socialists steal up to 40% of private property bank accounts and re-distribute the wealth to bankers with the "need" to cover the bad loans they made.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has reacted to the Cypriot bailout deal by labelling it as theft. The Kremlin is considering freezing German assets in Russia in retaliation for Russian losses in Cyprus banks.
"The stealing of what has already been stolen continues," is how Medvedev described the Cyprus bailout deal which imposes a sweeping haircut of around 30 percent on bank deposits in excess of €100,000 in two major banks. Nevertheless Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to support efforts aimed at overcoming the Cypriot crisis.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev
According to the Telegraph the Kremlin is considering freezing German assets in Russia as payback for the bailout deal.
Germany has put pressure on Nicosia throughout the last week, insisting on terms which will effectively end the importance of the Cyprus banking sector.
Open Europe provided this analysis of the Cyprus deal: "This is a bad deal for Cyprus and the Cypriot population. Cypriot GDP is likely to collapse in the wake of the deal with the possible capital controls hampering the functioning of the economy. The large loan from the eurozone will push debt up to unsustainable levels while the austerity accompanying it (along with the bank restructuring plan) will increase unemployment and cause social tension. There is a strong chance Cyprus could become a zombie economy – reliant on eurozone and central bank funding, with little hope of economic growth."
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades fought against the terms insisted upon by the EU, ECB and IMF, according to the Guardian's Ian Traynor who tweeted: "EU sources say Anastasiades fought tooth and nail on bank closure, restructuring, downsizing. #Barroso says Ana fully supported it." Angela Merkel is pleased with the outcome, as is Wolfgang Schäuble. The deal could benefit German banks as deposits are likely to leave Cyprus as soon as capital controls are eased.

Feds spy on your cell phone - GOP in hiding

The GOP is Missing in Action
Obama's Federal agents are spying on American's phones without a warrant and the Republicans are hiding under their desks
  • If Republicans are not forcefully speaking out against a Police State then they must favor its creation.

Federal investigators in Northern California routinely used a sophisticated surveillance system to scoop up data from cellphones and other wireless devices in an effort to track criminal suspects — but failed to detail the practice to judges authorizing the probes.

The practice was disclosed Wednesday in documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California — in a glimpse into a technology that federal agents rarely discuss publicly.

The investigations used a device known as a StingRay, which simulates a cellphone tower and enables agents to collect the serial numbers of individual cellphones and then locate them. Although law enforcement officials can employ StingRays and similar devices to locate suspects, privacy groups and some judges have raised concerns that the technology is so invasive — in some cases effectively penetrating the walls of homes — that its use should require a warrant reports the Washington Post

The issues, judges and activists say, are twofold: whether federal agents are informing courts when seeking permission to monitor suspects, and whether they are providing enough evidence to justify the use of a tool that sweeps up data not only from a suspect’s wireless device but also from those of bystanders in the vicinity.

In Northern California, according to the newly disclosed documents, judges expressed concerns about the invasive nature of the technology.

“It has recently come to my attention that many agents are still using [StingRay] technology in the field although the [surveillance] application does not make that explicit,” Miranda Kane, then chief of the criminal division of the Northern California U.S. attorney’s office, said in a May 2011 e-mail obtained by the ACLU.

The Justice Department has generally maintained that a warrant based on probable cause is not needed to use a “cell-site simulator” because the government is not employing them to intercept conversations, former officials said. But some judges around the country have disagreed and have insisted investigators first obtain a warrant.

“By withholding information about this technology from courts in applications for electronic surveillance orders, the federal government is essentially seeking to write its own search warrants,” said Linda Lye, a staff attorney for the ACLU of Northern California.
