76% of Voters Do Not Support ‘Open Borders’

The Wall Congress Will Not Fund
Despite huge public support Congress refuses to build a wall or enact any other meaningful legislation that protects Americans.

(CNSNews.com) -- A recent Harvard-Harris poll found that 76% of registered American voters do not believe the United States should have “open borders,” and 61% said current U.S. border security is “inadequate.”
In the June 24-25 online survey of 1,448 registered voters,  Harvard-Harris asked, “Do you think we should have basically open borders or do you think we need secure borders?”
Seventy-six percent of the respondents (1,093 people) said “we need secure borders.” Twenty-four percent of respondents (354 people) said “we should have basically open borders.”
In another question, Harvard-Harris asked, “Do you think current border security is adequate or inadequate?”
Sixty-one percent said border security is “inadequate,” and 39% said border security is “adequate.”
In his 2016 presidential campaign and as president, Donald Trump has called for the building of a 15-foot-high wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Prototypes have been built but full-scale funding for the project has not been allocated by Congress.
