Verizon Demands YouTube Censor "Fake News"

Fascist Corporatism
Working with the Left the Multi-National Corporations
are coming for your Freedom

(Fox Business)  -  Companies such as Verizon and AT&T have decided to pull ads from YouTube over extremist content in the video platform owned by Google.  Alphabet Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt and former Google Senior V.P. of Products Jonathan Rosenberg discuss how they are addressing the issue.

According to Schmidt, it is possible for computers to solve the issue of dealing with extremist videos as well as fake news.

“My own view on most of this sort of extremist things as well as fake news in general is that it’s essentially a ranking problem.  We’re very good at detecting what’s the most relevant and what’s the least relevant.  It should be possible for computers to detect malicious, misleading and incorrect information and essentially have you not see it.”

Though Schmidt does not see this as censorship, saying, “We’re not arguing for censorship, we’re arguing just take it off the page . . . . ”

IDIOT ALERT - Lindsey Graham Strikes Again

Graham is as stupid as he sounds

(CNSNews.com) - Hours after House intelligence committee chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) announced he has new information about the incidental, but legal, collection of information on members of the Trump transition team, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) called the revelation is “disturbing.”
“I meet with foreign leaders all the time as a senator,” Graham told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Wednesday evening. “I wonder if my meetings are being surveilled by the intelligence community?"
"If so, I think when I'm involved, that would be inappropriate, because I may be talking of things of policy that I don't want the executive branch to know about.”

German state bans mosque group after imam calls for killings

The Religion of Peace™

(Associated Press)  -  German state officials say they’ve banned an Islamic cultural association that ran a mosque in the central German town of Kassel due to extremist comments.

Hesse state Interior Minister Peter Beuth said Thursday that the Almadinah Islamic Culture Association was banned because the group’s leading imam had, among other things, repeatedly called for the killing of infidels in his sermons.

Investigations by the authorities also confirmed that several members of the mosque had already left Germany for Syria to join extremist Islamic fighters there.

The statement said the group’s ban came after several months of investigation and a raid of the mosque and other buildings by 160 police officers in November.

Hundreds of extremists have left the country to join jihadists in Syria and Iraq in recent years.

L.A. blocks police from helping ICE

The People's Republic of California
A Democrat state that exists to serve the
illegal alien citizens of other nations.

(London Daily Mail)  -  Los Angeles has blocked airport police and firefighters from co-operating with federal immigration agents.

The latest directive is the city's most aggressive bid yet to oppose President Trump's tough crackdown and protect illegal immigrants from immigration officials.

Mayor Eric Garcetti declared it was 'un-American' to 'demonize' their neighbors simply because they are foreign, as the city beefed up its 'sanctuary city' status.

The Los Angeles Police Department already prohibits police from asking for the legal status of a suspect even if they have probable cause.

'In Los Angeles, we don't separate people from their families because it's inhumane,' Eric Garcetti said on Tuesday.

'In Los Angeles, we don't demonize our hardworking neighbors just because they speak another language or come from another country. That's un-American.'

Idiot Devin Nunes finally admits Trump spying

Rep. Devin Nunes
The Prick of the Week

  • I just got done blasting this GOP fuck-up in "Republicans backstab Trump again and again".  Now he is trying to cover his ass before before the lies he defended break into the media.
  • Any honest person with a brain knows we are all spied on 24-7.  Only corrupt fools like Nunes think they can hide facts from the people.

(Daily Caller)  -  President Trump’s personal communications may have been incidentally captured as part of a surveillance sweep conducted by the Obama administration, House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes revealed on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, Nunes said that there have been “significant developments” in his committee’s investigation into any Obama administration surveillance of the Trump team.

“I recently confirmed that on numerous occasions the intelligence community incidentally collected information about U.S. citizens involved in the Trump transition,” Nunes said.

“Details about U.S. persons associated with the incoming administration, details with little or no apparent foreign intelligence value, were widely disseminated in intelligence community reporting.”

The California Republican added that he had confirmed that “additional names of Trump transition team members” were unmasked. None of the surveillance was related to Russia or the investigation into Russia’s activities prior to the election.

Comey lied to Congress about spying says Klayman

FBI Lies and Damn Lies

(World Net Daily)  -  The lawyer who founded Judicial Watch and later Freedom Watch, Larry Klayman, has sent a letter to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, asking him to look at a whistleblower’s evidence of “systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans, again including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen such as Donald Trump, and even yours truly.”

That spying was done, Klayman’s letter contends, by the FBI.
It’s become a major issue following President Trump’s assertion that he and Trump Tower were spied upon by the federal government, and the subsequent denials by intelligence and law-enforcement officials, including FBI Director James Comey, who famously cleared Hillary Clinton on accusations she mishandled classified information as U.S. secretary of state.
Klayman has been working with Dennis Montgomery, a former NSA and Central Intelligence Agency contractor who “left the NSA and CIA with 47 hard drives and over 600 million pages of information, much of which is classified.”
Montgomery then “sought to come forward legally as a whistleblower to appropriate government entities, including congressional intelligence committees, to expose that the spy agencies were engaged for years in systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans.”
Explained Klayman: “Working side by side with former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who lied in congressional testimony, and former Obama Director of the CIA, the equally ethically challenged John Brennan, Montgomery witnessed ‘up close and personal’ this “Orwellian Big Brother’ intrusion on privacy, likely for potential coercion, blackmail or other nefarious purposes.”

McConnell criticizes Trump spending cuts

The GOP never cuts spending
The Republican Party is little more than a
pro-gun faction of the Democrat Party

(The Hill)  -  Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday criticized President Trump's proposed cuts to the State Department budget, calling them inappropriate.
"America being a force is a lot more than building up the Defense Department. Diplomacy is important, extremely important, and I don't think these reductions at the State Department are appropriate," McConnell told The Associated Press.
"There are things on the domestic side that are extremely important," he added.
McConnell maintained that he will fend off attempts to cut funding for the Appalachian Regional Commission, which sponsors economic development initiatives in Kentucky, and shield the National Institutes of Health, according to the AP.
"When we get to funding the government, obviously it will be done on a bipartisan basis," he said last month . . .

GOP BETRAYAL - Funds Illegal Alien Healthcare

Drop Your Pants & Bend Over

  • Cover up your ass  -  The "small government" and "Conservative" GOP is on the way over to screw the living crap out of you by funding Obamacare for illegal aliens.
  • Neither the open borders Republicans nor Democrats give a damn about American citizens.  Illegal and legal aliens are to be pandered to at all costs.

(Reuters)  -  Some conservatives in Washington were fuming on Tuesday after an Obamacare rollback bill was tweaked by Republican leaders to delete a provision meant to crack down on illegal immigrants getting federal healthcare insurance coverage.

The development posed another problem for Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives and President Donald Trump, who are trying to win congressional approval of the wider bill, the first big legislative test for Trump since taking office.

The provision would have allowed the Treasury Department to access data at the Department of Homeland Security to verify that healthcare tax credits went only to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents, not to illegal immigrants.

In a largely procedural move, it was dropped from the bill after the Senate Parliamentarian determined that the Senate Finance Committee, which handles tax credits under the bill, does not have purview over the Department of Homeland Security.

Republican Representative Lou Barletta issued a statement on Monday evening, after the change was made, saying he could no longer support the bill, citing the obscure provision.

"I am concerned that the bill lacks sufficient safeguards for verifying whether or not an individual applying for health care tax credits is lawfully in this country and eligible to receive them," said the Pennsylvania lawmaker.

1984 - City to scan every car on the road

Gandalf: a great Eye, lidless, wreathed in flame."
The Lord of the Rings

In some sick Death Wish we are
creating our own all seeing eye.

(San Diego Union Tribune)  -  Carlsbad is expanding its use of automated license plate readers into a system that aims to collect the registration information of every vehicle that enters the city.

The $1 million Police Department project — which will add stationary cameras at 14 key Carlsbad intersections, creating a virtual gateway at the city’s borders — was approved by the City Council last week, sparking outrage over privacy rights and government control from several residents and one council member.

Four council members, however, said they’re confident the information can be kept secure and that the system will increase safety for residents and police officers. They also said it may deter criminals from breaking the law in the city.

“To me, $1 million is a drop in the bucket when you are trying to protect 100,000 or more people, and everyone who comes into our city every day,” said Councilman Keith Blackburn, a retired police officer. “I don’t think this ... is going to violate privacy.”

“We need to look at this for what it is — mass surveillance,” said Noel Breen, a resident who waited through more than four hours of other matters at the council meeting to speak about the proposal.

“We live in dangerous times these days in terms of civil liberties,” Breen said, adding that statistics show that relatively few crimes are solved by license plate readers compared to the huge amount of data collected.

Councilwoman Cori Schumacher agreed with the residents and cast the only vote against the purchase.

“This would greatly affect the private lives of our citizens,” she said, and it would effectively create a “geofence” between the city and its neighbors.

Bush had NSA spy on Dr. Michael Savage

Blast from the past cartoon.

Damned George Bush

  • 1984  -  The village idiot Bush had no interest in protecting us from Muslim terrorism. He spent his time doing unconstitutional spying on Donald Trump, Dr. Michael Savage and average Americans.

(World Net Daily)  -  Talk-radio host Michael Savage is among the public figures who were under surveillance by the National Security Agency as part of its “Project Dragnet,” according to a database revealed by an agency whistleblower.
Jerome Corsi, an investigative reporter for Infowars.com, told Savage on “The Savage Nation” radio show Monday that one of Savage’s email addresses was discovered in the database.
Infowars.com said the database has evidence of spying on U.S. citizens from 2004 to 2010, but Corsi told Savage there is no indication the surveillance has stopped.
It shows Donald J. Trump and Infowars founder Alex Jones also were under illegal, unauthorized government monitoring during those years.
Infowars.com obtained sections of the database from Michael Zullo, formerly the chief investigator of the Cold Case Posse, a special investigative unit in the office of Joseph Arpaio, the former sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona.
Project Dragnet was first revealed by news reports in 2005 and further documented by the revelations of whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013.
Corsi told Savage he discovered the database included some 50 entries for Donald Trump and his businesses and family members.
“They were all over Donald Trump starting in 2004, when the database starts,” he said.
Corsi said, regarding Savage, that he found two “solid hits” in the database in 2004 and 2005, which was during the time of the George W. Bush administration.
“Anybody who was prominent at that point, the NSA was going after to collect data. And it was not necessarily at the direction of George W. Bush. They were doing it on their own initiative,” Corsi told Savage.

FBI Targets Pro-Trump Breitbart and Infowars

Has Anyone Even Bothered To Read
The Damn Constitution?

By Gary;

I have just had it with the pure Police State Bullshit pouring out of Washington.

Whistleblowers from William Binney to Edward Snowden to Julian Assange have warned us of the growing NSA-FBI-CIA Police State but almost no Republican or Democrat will stand up to defend the Constitution and Bill of Rights given to us by the Founding Fathers.

Instead what we see is an endless parade of scumbag bipartisan Republicrats who fully fund and defend the 1984 Police Surveillance State.

FBI Attacks Freedom of the Press

Now we see press intimidation direct from the FBI.  The Big Brother Feds are "examining" Russian ties to pro-Trump Internet media sites like Breitbart and Infowars.

"Investigators examining . . . whether the far-right news operations took
any actions to assist Russia’s operatives. Their participation, however,
wasn’t necessary for the bots to amplify their news
through Twitter and Facebook. The investigation . . . is being

Naturally both Republicans and Democrats in Washington have zero interest in defending the 1st Amendment rights of the pro-Trump media.

That plus the endless unconstitutional spying and secret courts makes you wonder if the Republic has died?  Like the the old Roman Republic are we moving away from freedom and a Constitution and into an age of authoritarianism?

I firmly believe the latter is the case and neither party gives a damn about your liberty.

FBI Says It Is Investigating Infowars

Judge Napolitano Pulled From Fox News After British Intel Wiretap Claims

Fox News Lurches To The Left

  • I have almost totally stopped watching Fox except for Hannity and Tucker Carlson. Fox takes the anti-Trump "fake news" and holds panel discussions in prime time. Their goal is to trash Trump and get ratings. Screw 'em.

(Gateway Pundit)  -  Fox News’ Judge Napolitano is being kept off the air indefinitely after he made a claim that British intelligence wiretapped Trump Tower at Obama’s request.

According to the L.A. Times:
Fox News did not respond to inquiries about Napolitano’s status Monday. Napolitano was conspicuously missing from the network’s coverage of the confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch — an event in which he typically would have played a significant role. He has not been on the air since Thursday.
People familiar with the situation who could speak only on the condition of anonymity said Napolitano is not expected to be on Fox News Channel any time in the near future. Napolitano was not available for comment.
But Napolitano said on one program that “Fox News has spoken to intelligence community members who believe that surveillance did occur, that it was done by British intelligence.”
Fox News, however, did no such thing, forcing its anchors to walk back Napolitano’s statement.
“Fox News knows of no evidence of any kind that the now-president of the United States was surveilled at any time, in any way,” Shepard Smith told viewers Friday.
In a statement read on the Fox News program “MediaBuzz” on Sunday, Napolitano defended his comments. He said he “reported what the sources told me, reported it accurately and I do believe the substance of what they told me.”
Judge Nap is one of the truth tellers on Fox News. It would be a shame if they didn’t let him come back on. He will definitely make sure he is heard one way of another. Conservatives love Judge Nap!

Police drag anti-immigration campaigner off street

Anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson is "escorted" off the streets by police for the crime of freedom of speech.

Anti-mass immigration campaigner Tommy Robinson was verbally and physically abused by demonstrators on an anti-Islamophobia march on Saturday, after approaching them and attempting to engage in conversation. Police detained him and ordered him off the streets, saying this was “easier” than “taking on” the aggressive protestors.

Caolan Robertson from The Rebel Media and Luton-based activist Tommy Robinson approached demonstrators to ask their views on issues such as female genital mutilation and sexual grooming, “triggering” them into a furious reaction reports Breitbart.

Within five minutes of arriving at the protest, according to Robertson, the pair were surrounded by people shouting “Nazi, white supremacist!”, resulting in attending police officers detaining Robinson.

A Double Beast Week: Logan and The Beast

Two Fairy Tales . . . So To Speak
"Logan" and "Beauty and the Beast"

By Gary;

It has been a busy movie week for me that has revolved around claws and horns.

First on my list was seeing "Logan" which may be Hugh Jackman's last shot at playing the Wolverine.

As the ultimate X-Men fan (I own issues 1 to 10 of the original comic) it was both entertaining and depressing to see Wolverine and Professor X getting old.  But it is the circle of life.

In this film mutants are nearly extinct and an elderly Professor X, who is plagued by worsening seizures, has been hidden from the world by Wolverine in a Mexican desert.

Logan has drifted from Superhero to the gutter with endless drinking and being forced to make extra cash as a limo driver for teenagers attending proms.  How low can you go?

But naturally even this peaceful gutter existence is not allowed to Logan.  Generic bad guys show up in large enough numbers to allow for some good, solid "R" rated slaughter.

I felt some aspects of the plot were a bit weak while other parts soared to the best of quality.  Where this film shakes out in the long list of Superhero films is to be determined.

Bottom line, a fun if depressing film.

Rating  -  8 out of 10

A Beauty and the Beast remake had to happen.

The live action/CGI 2016 release of The Jungle Book grossed nearly $1 Billion.

The stage was set for a re-imagining (or regurgitation if you will) of many of the popular later Disney films trapped in the now dated cartoon format.  Look forward to new versions of The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Aladdin.

Re-imagining classic stories is certainly nothing new. The original version of Beauty and the Beast was published in 1740, retold again in 1756, 1771, 1889 and many more.  University researchers say the basic story is 4,000 years old.

The current CGI/live action film is the basic fairy tale format with the added dash of Disney musical numbers.

The acting is of good quality, special effects solid, beautiful photography and the music hits good notes.

The characters did not grab me as strongly as in the 1991 animated version.  But that might just be me.  In a sold out Sunday noon matinee the audience twice broke out into sustained applause.  I have not seen that in a theater for a long time.

Rating  -  7 out of 10

Trump Bugged by Bush and Obama

Big Brother is Watching You

  • The Free Internet media exposes the unconstitutional 1984 spying done by both the GOP and the Democrats.
  • The bought and paid for Corporate Media Complex hides this information from the public.

Infowars.com have obtained credible information from law enforcement sources regarding individual records of U.S. citizens under National Security Agency (NSA) electronic surveillance in the years 2004 through 2010 – a database that suggests both Donald J. Trump and Alex Jones were under illegal, unauthorized government monitoring during those years.

Michael Zullo, formerly the commander and chief investigator of the Cold Case Posse (CCP), a special investigative group created in 2006 in the office of Joseph M. Arpaio, formerly the sheriff in Maricopa County, an Arizona State Certified Law Enforcement Agency, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, provided sections of the database to Infowars.com.

The electronic surveillance database, provided to Zullo by a whistleblower in 2013, was apparently created by the NSA as part of the NSA’s illegal and unconstitutional Project Dragnet electronic surveillance of U.S. citizens, first revealed by news reports published in 2005, as further documented by the revelations of whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013.

Sheriff Arpaio and Chief Investigator Zullo have identified dozens of entries at various addresses, including both Trump Tower in New York City and Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, under which Donald Trump was apparently under NSA electronic surveillance from 2004, during President George W. Bush’s term of office, through 2009, the first year of President Obama’s presidency.

Afghan Soldier "Mistakenly" Shoots Three Americans

The Gift That Just Keeps Giving

(The Guardian)  -  An Afghan soldier opened fire on Sunday inside a base in the southern Helmand province, wounding three US soldiers before being shot dead, an Afghan official said.
Colonel Mohammad Rasoul Zazai, an army spokesman, said the soldier had made a “mistake” and had not fired deliberately. A coalition-run Twitter account said an Afghan soldier shot and wounded three American soldiers, without providing further details.
Afghanistan civilian deaths may have been caused by US airstrike

Several US troops have been killed in Afghanistan in recent years in so-called insider attacks carried out by Afghan police or soldiers. In October, an Afghan man in a military uniform shot dead a US soldier and an American civilian contractor inside a military base in Kabul before being killed.
Most foreign combat troops withdrew from Afghanistan at the end of 2014, 13 years after they ousted the Taliban from power, but about 13,000 Nato-led soldiers remain to help advise and train Afghan forces fighting a revived Taliban insurgency.
Last May two Romanian soldiers were killed and a third wounded after two members of a local Afghan police unit they were training shot them.
Camp Shorab in Helmand, previously known as Camp Bastion, is a major former US and British base now run by the Afghan army.
Helmand has been one of the most fiercely contested regions of the country, with nearly 1,000 coalition troops killed there since the US-led military intervention in 2001.
The US said in January that about 300 marines would be sent to Helmand to assist Afghan forces battling the Islamist insurgents in intelligence and logistics matters.
